“Christina and Jason were great with my girls. I received pictures of them daily along with descriptions of their daily activities. They kept my girls busy and happy. I would highly recommend them.”
“Sam was awesome!! She sent us pics/video of the dogs playing which I loved! They had plenty of space to run around in a large fenced in area. This was the perfect place to send both my pups!! We will definitely be back!”

“My sister and I were heading to Stowe with our dogs for a ski trip when we found out the house wasn't dog friendly. Oh no! Luckily we found Gwynn who lives close to Stowe. She only takes two dogs at a time which was perfect for my dog and my sister's since they're best friends! Gwynn was great with initial introductions with my somewhat skittish dog and her dogs. We were in contact with her everyday with photos and a video of them frolicking in the snow. She always responded quickly via phone or text. After picking them up, our dogs ended up sleeping the entire next day from having too much fun. My dog in particular did not want to leave Gwynn's chickens! I would highly recommend Gwynn, especially if your dog needs personal attention, lots of exercise and outdoor time.”

“If you’re looking for a serene, loving environment for your pup, AnnaRose is the perfect sitter for you! My beagle, Maya, enjoyed the company of AnnaRose’s two calm, sweet dogs—and having their company helped her to settle in right away. AnnaRose was attentive to Maya’s needs, showered her with love, and provided tons of updates to give me peace of mind. Highly recommend!”

“Sarah was wonderful to work with, very communicative. We were able to do a meet and greet in advance to make sure our dogs would get along (they did!). Sarah sent a picture or video daily (sometimes multiple times a day). It was nice to get updates on how our dog was doing, so we didn't have to worry on vacation. We will definitely use Sarah again!”

“We went out of town for 5 days and Shannon took amazing care of our two dogs. I was nervous leaving them with someone new, but it was clear upon meeting Shannon for our meet and greet that my pups liked her right away! She definitely set my mind at ease with updates and photos while we were away, and was quick to respond when I sent a message. I would definitely book Shannon again!”

“Christopher and his family are lovely. We felt very comfortable leaving out dog with them knowing how caring they are towards aanimals. They were also great at communicating and accommodating our schedule and needs..Will definitely use them again!”

“My experience with Sonya was wonderful. We were getting ready to leave on a trip and one of our cats was feeling less than great (after consuming an very unappetizing mouse) Rather than having them stay at home (they are outdoor cats), I made a Rover booking with Sonya the day before we were scheduled to fly out. She was amazing and gave us updates all along the way. So, instead of being away and worried, I knew both cats had Sonya to provide some love and TLC. I will absolutely be using her services again when we travel.”

About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I'm proud to be one of the first people friends and family call when a petsitter is needed. I love walking, and I love dogs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to exercise and get my animal fix! I'm currently working full-time Monday through Friday. I can do evening walks after 5:00 PM (as weather allows) and I can do weekends between 9:00 AM - 6 PM. My current apartment doesn't allow pets, but I can housesit on weekends or in the evenings if the location is somewhat close to my work in Waterbury. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have always had an extra sensitive heart when it comes to animals. I think that earning an animal's trust is such a privilege and gift, and I honor that. I cannot house pets in my current apartment, but I will follow the guidance and knowledge of the owners in their homes and while on walks.
“Natalie and Patrick took wonderful care of Bert as always. I really appreciate their frequent updates and pictures. He came home a very tired and very happy boy :) He is already looking forward to his next stay.”

“Our 6-month old puppy has had 2 stays with Piper so far. She is amazing. Our dog is fearful of strangers and needs to warm up at his own pace (which can be extremely slow at times). Piper just knew how to handle him from the get go and went out of her way to make him feel comfortable. She even discovered things that our little guy likes that we did not know. Prior to his first stay, Piper spent quite a bit of time on the phone to get as much information as possible about Milo. She even made recommendations to make him feel comfortable. While he was anxious at drop off time, he was a happy little guy after his first experience there. At the second stay a week later, I left Piper's house with him licking from her hand and not really caring that I was leaving (a huge accomplishment given his fear level). And when I picked him up, he did not even come to the door - I guess he had forgotten about me and was happily chewing on a bone, all comfy on the rug. Piper is family no. 2 to our dog!”

About: I've been taking care of pets for two decades and will love them like I love my own. I believe the best way to teach a dog is positive reinforcement and will work with whatever routines you have established with your furry family member. I work from home 3 days per week and the days are flexible except Thursday when I have to be at my office in Montpelier. I can go home on my lunch breaks for walks on the days I'm in the office (and you're close to Montpelier) and can work from your home if I'm housesitting and you have internet. As a gal in her 40s I'm pretty low key and will be very happy spending my time with your pet in your home or taking them on adventures if that's what they prefer. I love hiking and walks and have lots of friends with dogs if socialization is something you'd like for your pup.
“Julia was AWESOME. In fact, I worried that our dog, Tucker, would end up preferring to stay with her rather than come home with us! She watched our very enthusiastic 1.5 year old golden retriever for the weekend, and took him on hikes, had him splashing in brooks and meeting goats. She was easy to get in touch with, accepted our last minute booking (including squeezing in a meet and greet prior) and sent great photos. 10/10 recommend!!”

“Christina was an excellent host to Curie, our 8yr old female Labradane ! She was very accommodating and communicated often on how our dog was doing. She spent quality time to get to know her better and make her feel at home. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a 'home away from home' for their four-legged family members!”

“I can't say enough good things about Jenna. I feel bad just being so late in providing this review due to all the wonderfulness she has provided. I have two pups, a 3 year old mutt and a 6 month old Shepsky mix. Jenna has watched the two of them now at her place around 5 times. They could not be happier under her care. Highlights: Jenna is so good with them - she gets on their level, builds trust, treats them as her own family. She is super flexible, happily does pickup/dropoff if needed. She has a big fenced in yard. Yada yada yada. Tl;dr - she is dope, and I never have a second thought after dropping up my pups with her for up to a week stay while I'm away on business. Thank you, Jenna!”

About: I have had dogs and pets all my life growing up. I love to take care of friends and family’s pets for them. More than happy to help take care of other’s like they were my own! Currently working in a hospital so my schedule varies but can always plan around you and your pets needs to care for them. Weekends usually work the best for me. With your pets in my home, they will have plenty of space to run around and play. I also am close to a small park and beach. I am more than happy to walk them so they still get all the fun and attention they would get at home!
“Danielle was lovely and our 14-year-old Westie had a great stay with 3 other dogs. Danielle was patient and understanding when Joey had some accidents. Her tiny home is small but dog friendly with lots of space outside for walks and runs. She is a great and prompt communicator. Highly recommend her!”

“So glad we found Tori! It gave us great peace of mind knowing our girls were with fellow-dog lovers (as evidenced by their love of their dogs). Tori sent us pictures throughout their stay and our dogs came home relaxed and happy. We trust Tori so much that after our first stay we booked our next two stays. I feel so comfortable going out of town knowing our girls are in good hands! Tori is a reliable, personable, and caring dog sitter. I couldn't have been happier with our experience!”
“We recently went on an overseas trip and needed somewhere for our pup to stay. We definitely didn't want to board him at a kennel/doggie daycare, so reached out to Eric. I can't put into words how happy we were with Eric & his family for how they took care of Jerome. Frequent photos and updates allowed us to enjoy our trip while knowing that Jerome was being treated as part of their family. Well definitely be reaching out to Eric again if/when we need a place for Jerome to stay. Would rate 10 stars if we could, such a great experience (for us and Jerome) :)”

Many sitters in VT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
