About: We’re a caring, experienced family that treats every pet like our own. With years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, we’re comfortable supporting everything from playful puppies to senior pets who need a gentler pace. What sets us apart is our calm, structured, and enrichment-focused approach to pet care. We’re experienced with high-anxiety and reactive pets, multi-pet households, and animals who benefit from consistency and routine. We reinforce basic training and good manners using positive, confidence-building methods, and we tailor care to each pet’s individual needs. Living in Vermont allows us to offer nature-focused care, including daily walks and outdoor exploration designed to provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation. We also have experience with medication administration, special diets, and pets with ongoing medical needs. Above all, we prioritize safety, communication, and thoughtful care—ensuring every pet feels secure, understood, and well cared for while their humans are away. Pet care is a central part of our daily routine. As a family, we’re able to offer flexible, attentive care throughout the day, ensuring pets aren’t rushed or left waiting for long periods. With multiple caregivers involved, there’s always someone available for walks, feedings, enrichment, or companionship. Our days are structured to balance outdoor activity, mental stimulation, and rest, and we make it a priority to follow each pet’s normal schedule as closely as possible. Whether your pet needs frequent check-ins, consistent routines, or a calmer pace, we adjust our time to meet their individual needs. Reliability, consistency, and thoughtful care are at the heart of how we plan our days, so your pet always knows what to expect. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always our top priorities. Whether caring for pets in our home or in a client’s home, we focus on maintaining a calm, structured environment that supports each pet’s routine and individual needs. In our home, pets are closely supervised and cared for with attention to safe handling, secure transitions in and out of the home, and appropriate activity levels. We balance outdoor time with rest and enrichment, always tailoring care to a pet’s age, energy level, and comfort. When caring for pets in a client’s home, we treat your space with respect and follow all care instructions closely. We work to keep pets on their familiar schedule, reinforce established routines, and ensure they feel comfortable and secure in their own environment. We’re experienced with multi-pet households, medication administration, and pets with anxiety or special needs. Clear communication is important to us, and we provide regular updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: i recently moved to the area from new york and i’m looking for something fun to do for work. i absolutely love animals. they’re so intelligent and fun and loving. i would love to take care of animals on a daily basis. i am a caring and loving person and have always had quite the love for animals. i have always had dogs and cats in my home growing up. with that being said, i wouldn’t mind walking dogs, stopping by to play or feed animals, staying for hours with them, or just frequently seeing them. i have been trying to find jobs around the area and nothing has really spoken to me. i found that people need dog sitters and i thought it would be a good idea to try and get out there and meet people and have fun with animals all day

“Kate was wonderful with our dog Cricket. She took him on short notice, brought him on a hike and sent us cute pictures. Best of all is her majestic dog Cedar, who immediately made friends with our pup. Taking Cricket to Kate’s place felt like the best type of summer camp in gorgeous Vermont woods. We will absolutely be booking again soon. Cannot recommend Kate and Cedar enough!”

Very warm, kind and knowledgeable with caring for a family pet... in my case a German shorthair pointer, that really enjoyed her cute dogs, Ken (a great tv personality) and fun/friendly home. I was skiing Stowe and her beautiful location is an easy and worthwhile drive that I completely enjoyed. It was a real treat to meet such awesome people and made me wish I lived closer. You could not possibly find better care than Wendy provides.”

About: Life long dog owner and volunteer Adoption Coordinator with local Dog Rescue -expertise with small dogs! Avid hiker, runner and dog lover! Fully fenced yard and 2 dogs for company! I volunteer full time remotely for a local dog Rescue. I offer a flexible schedule and can provide dog care in my home or yours as needed. I have a small dog and a “small dog friendly” medium sized dog for playmates as well as a large fenced yard! I am very cautious to leave my dogs with sitters and understand the added stress of leaving a small dog or puppy in care. I offer 100 percent supervision and safety when I care for pets! I have years of experience with training dogs and knowledge of dog behaviors. I offer care specific to your dog’s needs and can provide drop in visits, walks or hikes and daycare or overnight stays in my home. We have a fully fenced yard in the woods.

About: I desperately wanted a pet when I was a child so took every opportunity to care for the dogs, cats, and even birds of my neighbors and friends! When I finally got a dog of my own, there was no going back :) I currently have a Newfoundland and an Aussie, and am often caring for the pets of my family and friends as if they are my own. I have experiencing caring for puppies and older dogs, including feeding, walking, bathing, administering a variety of meds and otherwise loving on them. I hope you’ll let me hang out with your fur baby as well! I work remotely a few days a week and have a fairly flexible schedule which permits me to set aside time for dog walks and other pet care. I am an avid runner and hiker if that’s something your pup enjoys as well! We have a big yard and two friendly dogs of our own. The Aussie may want to play but can also entertain himself if you have shy pup, and the Newfie mostly lays about but will occasionally be up for a romp in the yard :) I also make sure to take them on at least 2 good walks per day and they love to have company on these adventures!

About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. We have dogs in our "extended family" and we are well accustomed to dogs but we do not have one ourselves at this time. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. We enjoy hosting dogs, and are home most days of the week for most of the day. We enjoy walking with dogs and playing fetch (if dogs like to do that) on our hill in our yard. We would need to do a meet & greet to make sure it is a good match. Our yard is not fenced, and we are on a dirt road in the country with woods on the property and surrounding it, so dogs should not be prone to bolting etc. They must be 100% safe with young kids, cats and free range egg producers. No aggressive or reactive dogs please.
