I grew up with a wonderful Dalmatian named Amy and often helped care for my neighbors’ dogs and cats, which taught me the value of patience, consistency, and trust in pet care early on. I now have a cat of my own and also spent a year volunteering at a local animal shelter in Kansas City, where I walked dogs of every size and energy level—from calm seniors to bouncy puppies—fed animals, cleaned kennels, and cared for cats of all ages and temperaments. About: I love playing with and care for cats and dogs. I've trained my cat to go outside on a harness and leash and to do a few tricks! I'm a teacher currently on summer vacation and I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule to come and care for and play with your pet. About: Hello! A little about me: I have several years of caring for dogs and cats both personally and professionally, starting around age 11 with Oliver my first dog. I now have Leilah, my extremely lovable Labrador, and Lance my old boy who is a Coonhound and a retired service dog, they both get along with everyone! I also have 2 sons who both share my love of dogs! We have cats but they are used to dogs and tend to keep to themselves anyway. They are generally tolerant of all dogs, as long as they are friendly and do not chase them. Prior to COVID19 I worked full time in a dog daycare and boarding facility, so I have both personal and professional dog handling and grooming experience. I enjoy spending my time caring for animals, and doing my part in keeping them, and their families happy and healthy! Any dog in my care is treated like my own. We look forward to caring for your furry family member! I am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to care for your dog, they will rarely be left alone and will have plenty of potty breaks and outside time! I have a fenced in yard, so as long as your dog does not have a history of hopping fences they are free to roam and lounge in the yard. If your pet is a fence hopper I will only bring them out on a leash.

About: I've always felt a special connection with animals- from encounters in the redwood forests of Northern California to the coastal sanctuaries of Maine, I’ve enjoyed absorbing and reflecting on the deep wisdoms held within the animal kingdom. In my own life, cats and dogs have helped illuminate the true nature of unconditional love and I’ve been lucky to journey with many animal companions. During times in my life where it has not been possible to own a pet, I’ve been grateful to have many opportunities to care for them. I’ve cared for several dogs long-term and lived with up to 3 cats at a time (please see testimonials) and always enjoy getting to know the unique personality and ways of each animal. My approach is gentle and my goal is nourishment, safety and support with whoever I get the chance to work with. As a recent graduate of acupuncture school, I hope someday to get to work with animals in a healing capacity. I'd be truly honored to care for your beloved pet. About: I absolutely love animals. I've had dogs my whole life, until recently, and now I have 2 cats. I'm always looking to socialize more with animals.Right now in school, I am working towards getting my Early Childhood Education degree and my teaching license. I’m looking forward to filling my free time with great animal interactions. I will easily follow all your care instructions. I've volunteered at animal shelters, so cleaning up any messes will be easy and I have been around many different dog breeds. I'm always careful and responsible. I would love to go for a walk around the neighborhood, or go to a nearby dog park if applicable. I understand that the happiness and health of your pet is one of the most important things there is. I’m currently out of school for the summer and wish to fill up my days taking care of your pets! I have pretty open availability during the work week, minus 2 weekly appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday. I’d also love to spend a lovely summer weekend day with your pet as well! I usually follow the lead of the homeowners, so if there’s behavior that is considered normal for your pet, I’d love to know about it and how you usually handle it. I know the importance of routine and structure, so I will not be acting in a way towards your pet that they aren’t familiar or comfortable with.

About: My dog history: * I have my own dog, who's the best boy ever. We've been friends since 2016! * My sister had a Beagle when I was a teenager, and I'd regularly help take care of her when my sister was away * My family had a puppy when I was a kid * My family has found a few lost dogs over the years, and I helped take care of them until we found the owners I've also had many cats in my family and with my roommates over the years. And I used to check in on my friends' cats when they were away. I have a lot of free time right now, so unless something else comes up, I should be available often. As I explore new career opportunities, spending time helping people care for their pets seems like a great way to spend my time! Any work I do find will be remote from my home, so I'll always be close without having to hand off care to anyone else. They'll be in good hands! When I'm with them, I'm happy to spend time playing, feeding, walking, and giving them lots of pets. I'd love for them to have so much fun, they get excited to see me again! My dog loves to explore around the house (where he has three different beds), the deck, and the yard. He has a doggy door, so he can go outside whenever he needs. I also walk him twice a day, give him treats, and lots of attention and play.
