About: Lifelong Animal Lover with a Passion for Pet Care I’ve been surrounded by pets my entire life and understand the love and commitment they deserve. My two beloved dogs lived long, happy lives—15 and 17 years—before passing in the past two years. Living on 3 acres in the country, I love taking peaceful walks along our dirt road, making it the perfect setting for dogs who enjoy fresh air and space to explore. Whether your pet needs exercise, companionship, or extra TLC, I’ll treat them like my own with plenty of love and attention! I’m currently working full time M-F but I do work close enough to home to be able to swing home over lunch for quick walks/potty breaks! A Safe, Loving, and Stress-Free Experience for Your Pet Your pet’s safety and well-being are my top priorities. With a lifetime of experience caring for animals, I provide a trustworthy and nurturing environment where your pet will feel comfortable and secure. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I’m committed to providing personalized care, whether it’s a relaxing walk, playtime, or extra snuggles. Living in the country on a few acres, I offer plenty of space for safe outdoor adventures, fresh air, and exercise. I always prioritize safety—whether through secure leashes on walks, attentive supervision, or a calm and familiar routine to ease any anxiety. You can trust that your pet will be treated like family, with love, patience, and respect.
“Ashley did an outstanding job with our elderly dog and young cat. She provided lots of updates (with photos of our happy pets getting love!) and we felt that they received excellent care. 10/10 Would book again!”
About: I will treat your pet like they’re mine 😃 I’ve been walking dogs since December at the humane society. I also volunteer at a cat rescue I work full time 5am to 2pm and then volunteer on the side. I’d like to be available a few times a week i think. At the humane society, we focus on safety as our priority for me and the pet, I will do the same with your dog or cat.
“Vanessa was great with my cats. She remembered the little details I mentioned and it went a long way. Our cats seem to have been happy with her visiting, and that makes me happy! I will definitely rebook with her in the future!”

“Mikayla was awesome! She was so easy to work with and very responsible. I would rebook her in a heartbeat whenever I travel again. She did an amazing job and even managed to take photos of my skittish cats. She kept the litter area impeccable. I recommend her 100%!”

About: Hi, I’m Stephanie—an animal care professional with 13+ years of hands-on experience and a lifelong passion for creating safe, enriching, and loving environments for animals of all kinds. My journey has taken me from the wilderness of Alaska*, where I raised and cared for a team of Alaskan Husky sled dogs, to leadership roles in animal welfare—working my way up to Operations and CSR Lead at an animal shelter, while also serving as a Client Experience Coordinator at a busy animal emergency hospital. In early 2025, I proudly founded my own rescue, Pawsitive Tales Rescue, where I continue to advocate for and care for vulnerable animals in need. Animals aren’t just my career—they’re my life. Whether I’m caring for playful puppies, senior dogs, shy cats, or medical-needs pets, I bring patience, experience, and genuine compassion to every animal I meet. My background in shelter medicine, emergency veterinary care, rescue work, and behavior gives me the confidence to care for pets with a wide variety of personalities and needs. When I’m not working, you’ll find me outdoors adventuring with my retired sled dogs and my corgi—usually hiking, exploring, or chasing the next view. The mountains have my soul, but my heart belongs to every kitty and pup I’ve had the privilege to love. If you’re looking for someone experienced, dependable, and deeply passionate about animal welfare, your pets will be in caring and capable hands with me. I can’t wait to meet your furry family. 🐾 I’m currently working part-time at the local animal shelter and part-time as an animal care taker. In addition, I have six of my own dogs and two cats. It’s dogs and cats from the moment I wake up until I go to bed! I have a fenced in yard where your pup can run and stretch their legs as much as they want! All of my dogs are friendly and social and my cats are dog savvy. You’re pets will be treated with the best care possible - I’ll treat them as if they’re my own.
“Jessica was amazing with communication and sending updates, and was also very understanding when we had something unexpected pop up and weren't sure if we would need pet sitting or not. We did after all and everything went very smoothly including our meet and greet. We would absolutely book with Jessica again. Thanks for taking great care of our two cats and for the great updates/pics!”

“Alex was phenomenal! She was great with my animals and we had lots of communication while I was away. Our trip ended up being longer than anticipated and she was able to drop in for another day which was a huge relief. This was my first time using this service and I am beyond happy! I would highly recommend Alex and would love to use her again!”
About: I have some experience taking care of neighborhood dogs and cats, but most of my care experience comes from the animals I grew up with in my own home. I grew up with bigger dogs most of my childhood and even had a cat for a short time! I love all animals, big or small. I am a student who is quite involved on campus. I may have some availability during the day, but mostly in the evenings and on weekends. When at your place, I am comfortable taking your pups on walks, playing with them inside or outside, and doing really anything else they may need. I also love playing with cats or cuddling up with either of your pets on the couch if they just need some affection while you’re away.
About: I grew up on a farm, so I've worked with many different kinds of animals. I also used to help out on my great grandpa's farm before my family had our own. Animals are my life, and I can't see my life without them in it! I grew up in Minnesota, and I've never had a memory where we didn't have a dog. After moving to Ames, I've had the experience of not having my own dog and it was definitely weird to me. So, after my friend started working at Ames Pet Resort and told me how much she liked it, I decided to work there too! I've met sooo many dogs since I started, and I've been enjoying it very much. If you asked me to, I could name so many dogs that I adore. And show you pictures! I see dogs as part of the family, and many of them have touched my heart. I love them as if they were my own. I hope your family member(s) will touch my heart the same way. While I was living in Minnesota, I worked for my friend's parents. They taught me so much, and that was where my journey of working more with dogs had started. I was still working with the animals at home as well. I worked at Ames Pet Resort for little over a year, and I learned much since day one. I can give meds if need be, and I can walk various sizes of dogs. I can give the right dosages of medicine, syringes, and pills. I've also dealt with many man aggressive dogs, dog aggressive dogs, boundary aggressive tendency dogs, food aggressive, and same sex aggressive dogs, ect. For my job, I've also had training for doggy daycare so if you need any training tips, let me know! Additionally, I worked at Bark Avenue as a manager for about 7 months. In those 7 months, I was unable to do rover because my schedule didn't allow me to. Now that I work part time at an assisted living facility, it enables me to have more time to spend with your sweet companions! ❤️ Now that I no longer work for Ames Pet Resort, my schedule is pretty open. However, I may also have bookings outside of the Rover app. I will do my best to update my availability based on that. If you need your pup walked/fed in the morning, I can do that before work! 🙂 One thing I would like for people to know is that I require meet and greets before I agree to watch your pet. If you'd like to schedule one to see if it's a good fit, please let me know! My availability is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays. I have every other weekend off, so if you need me during the weekend, just let me know and I can try to figure something out! If you require more than a few days for me to stay in your home, please try to let me know between 1-2 weeks in advance. I would like to try to work it out with my roommate since I have a pup of my own. While I watch your pet, I will update you multiple times a day with pictures and videos! And if you would like more updates, feel free to let me know. I understand how leaving your animals behind can be stressful, and wanting to check on them often is understandable. If I have any questions regarding your pet, I will ask right away. I do my best to keep the line of communication open with my clients for the wellbeing of their animal(s). If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
About: I have grown up with dogs and many other pets since birth. We used to raise dogs, now we have two medium sized dogs. Just graduated from high school May 2025, and I have a schedule allowing me to be able to continue caring for animals and to continue this passion of mine! I have two medium family dogs and they are very important, special members of the family. I treat every single pet with care and respect.

About: While I don’t have official experience, I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life and I would watch my neighbors dogs when they went out of town. I’d love to spend some time with your pets this summer! I’m a recent college grad looking for some short term work for the summer before moving in August for my post-grad job. I’m available to drop in and walk your pets or spend a bit more time with them while you take a break! Happy to stay with your pets all night or just drop by for a walk mid-day! I’ll follow you and your pets lead on how far to go, how long to play, and what to do!
About: We've owned a wide variety of dogs since I was little. Taking care of them and helping care for others pets has always been a passion of mine. We recently had a litter of eleven puppies. From newborn to elderly I've helped train, care for, and love them all. I currently work full time but have evenings, Fridays, and weekends off. I enjoy taking evening walks and would love to make some new fur friends while doing so. I treat anyone's pet as if they are my own. I respect any boundaries or special training requests others might have for their fur babies.
About: I've had pets my entire life (cats, dogs, hamsters, etc). I love animals and have even considered bringing my pets into my career. I have two children at home who LOVE animals and know how to handle them without overwhelming them and will give your pet all the extra snuggles and love they could ask for. I do have 2 cats in my home who are very used to their dog brother who all live in the home and will love playing with your fluffy pal! I work full time during the school year and am off in the summer. My summers are WIDE OPEN to care for your pets and give them snuggles and love. During the school year my hours are great with lots of breaks so I can still care for your pets during the week. I have a fenced yard in a quiet and animal friendly neighborhood. I have 2 cats who are used to dogs. I have a crate available for dogs who require/prefer crating. In your home, I am happy to care for your pet in the way that they are accustomed to.
