“After years of using another sitter we found through Rover, we had to find a new one, as our old one was retiring. Tim was great with the dogs and everything went perfectly. We will be repeat clients!!!”

About: I love all kinds of animals. I have 2 schnauzers of my own, a kitten, and a hamster. I've pet sitted a bearded dragon and rescued an orphaned baby squirrel. There is no pet that I won't care for. I do have a huge soft spot for dogs as they are the pets that I have cared for the longest. I love going on walks and playing around. I used to volunteer at the LAAS shelter when I had more time. I received training from them on dog, kitten, rabbit, and hamster handling. I'm a full time student but my appartment does not allow me to hold more than my tiny kitten and my hamster. I would love to meet more pets which is what led me here. I make sure to keep pets inside or heavily supervised if they are allowed to go out in the yard. I am very careful with walking dogs as I am aware of how exciteable they are.
About: I've worked with animals my whole life. From rescuing wild animals to domestic animals. I have experience with bathing dogs and cats. I have also cared for senior animals as well. I give my all to animals because I know what it's like to have no voice. I'm currently not working so I am available full time. I can pick up, walk, bathe, drive to appointments as well as any other needs you may have. I have a daughter who shares my love of animals as well as 2 cats who live in my home. I can shelter animals in my home for a short amount of time as I have an apartment which may be too small for some breeds. I walk take dogs for a walk every 2 hours or more depending on their needs. I would be more than willing to care for pets in their own home as well as I know it can be easier on the pet and pet parents. Anything you need I am here to help!
“Lola stayed with Abbigail for 2 days and everything went so well. She welcomed Lola as part of the family. We recommend Abbigail and will definitely use her again when we get the need for a pet sitter. Thank you for taking care of Lola”

“Virginia took the best care of our almost one year old Lab/pitbull puppy. She sent pics & videos & I can tell he was spoiled during his doggy vacation. Highly recommend for quality care and flexibility with drop off/pick up.”

About: Hi, I'm Tommy, my family and recently moved to Clearlake from Santa Rosa. I work nights and am home during the days, but my wife is here when I'm not and can help out if needed. We are all animal lovers here and enjoy having dogs. Unfortunately our own doggies have passed away recently. We aren't looking to get our own again just yet but would love to watch yours for a bit. :) I usually work from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. so I get home around 6:30 at which point I will let the dogs out for some yard time. My wife and son will be up around 7:00 and I know my son will be excited to go for a walk. My wife will be the caregiver until I wake up around 1:00 p.m. so one of us will be around at all times. We have a fenced fully fenced in yard and no other animals on the property, and there will always be someone here to take care of your pet.
About: Dogs have been my passion for as long as I can remember. As a child, I spent much of my free time learning about different breeds, canine behavior, body language, health, grooming, and training. As an adult, that passion has only grown, and I have been fortunate enough to turn my lifelong love of dogs into a career. I have over eight years of professional experience working with dogs, including six years as a groomer and trainer at a boarding, grooming, and training facility, followed by two years as a professional groomer in a veterinary setting. Throughout my career, I have worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments. In addition to my hands-on experience, I have completed numerous online and in-person educational programs through organizations such as the American Kennel Club (AKC) and industry conferences including the Pasadena Groom & Kennel Expo. My continuing education has included canine behavior and body language, canine CPR and first aid, breed standards and breed-specific grooming techniques, behavior modification, working safely with aggressive dogs, and training dogs with behavioral challenges. I believe there is always more to learn, and I am passionate about continuing my education so I can provide the highest level of care possible. One of my greatest strengths is understanding canine body language and behavior. I am highly proficient at recognizing stress signals, fear responses, anxiety, overstimulation, excitement, and other behavioral cues. Over the years, I have worked with everything from easygoing family pets to dogs struggling with reactivity, resource guarding, anxiety, fear-based behaviors, and other behavioral challenges. Understanding why a dog is behaving a certain way allows me to create a positive, safe, and low-stress experience tailored to each individual dog. I have also spent years fostering and grooming dogs for our local Humane Society, often taking on dogs that need extra patience, confidence-building, socialization, training, or behavioral support. Helping these dogs grow and succeed has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work. My experience as a groomer has taught me the importance of being observant and proactive. Groomers often see dogs more frequently than veterinarians and spend extended periods of time closely examining a dog's skin, coat, ears, eyes, feet, movement, and overall condition. Throughout my career, I have helped many clients identify potential concerns that later warranted veterinary attention, including food and environmental allergies, chronic skin conditions, ear infections, unusual lumps or bumps, coat changes, mobility concerns, and other health issues. While I never diagnose medical conditions, I take pride in recognizing when something appears unusual and encouraging owners to seek veterinary care. In many cases, early recognition helped owners find answers sooner and allowed their pets to receive treatment before problems became more serious or caused prolonged discomfort. I currently live on 10 acres with my three dogs: two Chihuahua mixes that I adopted as foster failures from the Humane Society and a Standard Poodle who has become somewhat of a local celebrity. Thanks to my grooming experience, he is known for his creative trims and has won local Halloween costume contests. He has also participated in community events where he helped demonstrate proper grooming and brushing techniques for pet owners. His friendly, outgoing personality and love of meeting new people are a reflection of the training, socialization, and care that I believe every dog deserves. Every dog is unique, and I believe exceptional care starts with understanding each dog's individual personality, needs, and communication style. Whether your dog needs a fun place to stay, specialized handling, extra patience, or simply someone who genuinely understands and loves dogs, my goal is to provide a safe, enriching, and low-stress environment where they feel comfortable, secure, and cared for like one of my own. As a stay-at-home mom, my daily routine allows me to spend a significant amount of time at home, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. My dogs are an important part of our family's daily life, and caring for animals is already built into my routine. Each day includes feeding, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, enrichment activities, grooming as needed, and plenty of affection. Because I live on 10 acres, there is ample space for walks, exploration, and outdoor time, all while being carefully supervised. I also make it a priority to monitor each dog's behavior, comfort level, and overall well-being so I can adapt activities to their individual needs and personality. Whether your dog is energetic and loves to play, enjoys exploring outdoors, or prefers relaxing and receiving attention, I strive to provide a safe, structured, and low-stress environment where they feel comfortable and cared for. Since I am home throughout the day, your pet will not be left alone for long periods and will receive the same level of attention and care that I give my own dogs. The safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in my care are always my highest priorities. Before accepting a booking, I take the time to learn about each dog's personality, routine, temperament, medical needs, and any behavioral concerns so I can provide care tailored specifically to them. At my home, dogs enjoy a spacious country setting on 10 acres. In addition to the large property, I have secure fenced areas available for supervised outdoor time, play, and potty breaks. Dogs are never left outdoors unattended, and I closely monitor all interactions between pets to ensure everyone remains safe and comfortable. Because of my professional background in grooming, training, fostering, and canine behavior, I pay close attention to body language and behavior at all times. I am highly skilled at recognizing early signs of stress, anxiety, fear, overstimulation, or conflict and can make adjustments before situations escalate. New dogs are introduced thoughtfully and at a pace appropriate for their comfort level. I understand that not every dog enjoys socializing with other dogs, and some pets may be more comfortable having their own space. For this reason, I have the ability to safely separate dogs when needed and can accommodate dogs that prefer limited interaction, require individual attention, need separate feeding arrangements, or simply do better in a quieter environment. My goal is always to set each dog up for success based on their individual needs rather than expecting every dog to fit the same routine. I maintain fresh water at all times, carefully follow feeding and medication instructions, and take precautions to ensure dogs cannot access anything unsafe. I am also trained in canine CPR and first aid, providing owners with additional peace of mind that their pets are in knowledgeable and capable hands. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. Consistency helps reduce stress and allows pets to feel secure in their familiar environment. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, household rules, and special needs. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident knowing their pets are safe, happy, and receiving excellent care. Every dog is unique, and my goal is always to create a safe, structured, low-stress environment where they feel comfortable, respected, and cared for like one of my own.
About: I have always had a love of all animals from small to big. I love to be around dogs and play as much as I can. While in my care, I will take the dogs for an active walk and then let them run around the dog park for an hour. Sometimes longer if they are having a lot of fun. It's a solo walk right now but I have walked two at a time in the past. There are other times where I will just take them to the park and run them around and then walk back home. While in the home they will be showered in love and fun play time. Followed by more love and any snacks that you leave for your furry kids.
About: Love all animals especially dogs. I live in a home with a large yard with two separate play areas. All boarding dogs should be socialized as I have a rottweiler lab mix who is a love bug and would love other dogs to play with. All dogs subject to coat check for fleas before accepting them. My fur baby is So far I have only had other dogs that are extremely loving and I would like to keep it that way. I am currently unemployed and have full time to make sure the dogs are given lots of attention. Dogs will be treated like family members. Pers will be allowed to go in and out freely and have two separately fenced areas. Generally they will be in the house with me.
“Diego is a great pet sitter. He is very much in tune with dogs and they recognize it right away. Diego is calm, caring and is a true dog lover. It was a pleasure to deal with Diego on so many levels. He is very punctual, attentive to details and responds promptly to texts/calls. I was getting regular updates from Diego while my dog stayed with him and I could tell that my pup was in very good hands! Don't hesitate to hire Diego to watch your pet, he is the best! Olya.”

“Camilla was the best Rover we have had! I truly felt like our dog Timu was on vacation while we were! She was so attentive to Timu with walks and adventures and she kept me updated with photos and updates every step of the way. If we leave town again or need a day stay I would absolutely use Camilla again. Highly recommend!”

“Karen was amazing!! It was a short notice and she welcomed Rascal with open arms. I had a fear of leaving g him with someone as he's a bit of a nipper. But Karen and Rascal got along from the beginning. She helped him out and trained him as well as made him feel comfy and at home. Will for sure work with Karen again on my next need to house Rascal. Thanks Karen!!!”

“Thomas took care of our senior doggo Amara for a weekend while we were in town for a wedding. She got to hang out with him and his family while enjoying the backyard. Would definitely book with Thomas again if we're in the area!”

“With only a couple of days notice I asked Stefanie if she’d watch our shy little dog overnight who also needed to receive a couple of oral medications. Stefanie responded quickly to my request. Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
