About: I have been a lifelong pet owner with cats and dogs. I have a two year old Maltipoo that I have had throughout law school. I have trained a boxer, jack russel terrier mix, and a pug. I also have some experience with cats. I am a full time substitute teacher looking to make a little extra cash for the hollidays. I will be studying to take the July 2027 Michigan Bar Exam, and need some extra cash to pay the bills. I will stick to the dogs schedule as closely as possible, making sure they get their care and needs met for each visit or in home care.
About: I’ve had pets since I was born. I grew up w/ Horace a lab mix. We were babies together. I’ve also had cats since birth. I love cats & dogs & can’t imagine my life without them. I have some experience w/ rats, fish & reptiles. I am a personal trainer & yoga teacher. I make my own schedule. I can do mornings, afternoons & some evenings. I am flexible to care for your pet! I am able to care for your pet in your home or yard. I can take care of feeding, pottying, playing, & walking. I do not have a fenced in yard. My dog & cats do not like to share their space.
“I needed someone on very short notice (on Christmas Eve) to let my old girl Lola out for me at night to save me from having to leave family Christmas party and drive 30 minutes both ways. Kellie came in clutch! Quick responses, and followed instructions precisely. Will definitely book again in the future.”

“Olivia has been great with my pup! She comes 2-3x every week for drop in visits and walks. She goes above and beyond and sends me picture updates and always makes sure my doggo is happy and taken care of. Highly recommend!”

About: Hello! I am a licensed veterinary technician and have been for 20 years with a primary focus in surgery and dentistry and management. I love animals and have worked my entire adult life with them in some capacity. I have a 15 year old female spayed Chihuahua, 10 year old male neutered Portuguese Water Dog, and 2 cats, all indoor. I do not have the time or room to have more animals of my own which is why I would love care for your fur babies as my own when you are unable. This will allow me to enjoy more animals, of all breeds/sizes, but on a part-time basis...which is more accommodating to my lifestyle. Because of my veterinary experience and knowledge basis; you will not only be getting an amazing pet sitter, but one who can recognize a problem and address it appropriately if needed. I have the ability to bring your fur baby to a near by vet clinic if needed. I am currently working from home, so I have the ability to provide 24/7 care to your fur baby. I'm currently working remote, so I am available to provide pet care 24/7. I would rather late morning visits, drop offs....but can accommodate early morning with notice. I have a yard with an invisible fence and extra collars for dogs that use them. Otherwise I have a tie out in my yard for potty breaks. I have a litter robot for our cat friends. However, I keep pets inside most of the time for safety and comfort.
“I’m very appreciative of Alexis being able to come by on a holiday and make sure my Luna was taken care of while I was out of Town! She is someone I’m absolutely comfortable leaving my dog with. I know my Luna is in great hands with Alexis! Thank you so much!”

About: I volunteered 60 hours at the Genesee County Humane Society my senior year of High School. I was raised in a home with many fur babies (cats and dogs) and was always the one to attend training courses for each pup. I am known for my love of animals and have experience with many different kinds and dog breeds. I work Monday-Friday (9AM-5PM) but hours very and are flexible. I am able to leave for lunch and have every night and weekend free! My job allows me to be virtual some days but would need to be notified in advance. I live in an apartment above my fathers garage. He has an acre of fenced in land in downtown goodrich. I have volunteered many hours at local human societies and was raising with a home full of spoiled fur babies. My miniature dachshund, Hank, is the only dog I have had that knows the words kisses and cuddles- if that can attest! I wake up prior to work to care for my pet and yours! I am able to leave throughout workdays to check in and spend quality whenever needed. I use my current time when I leave work to cuddle and play with Hank. I have an acre of fenced in yard perfect for high energy dogs! My miniature dachshund loves to play freely and make friends with any breed. Although my yard is fenced in, I always go outside with the dogs because Hank is known for his amazing escaping tricks. I also have cameras inside and out (ring doorbell and furbo) to ensure there is always an eye on him.
“Shirley was available at the very last minute to let our dogs out when an unforseen situation kept us away from home for a few hours longer than expected. Our babies just love her! Thanks Shirley!”

“I was very concerned leaving my 11 year old with anyone as I have never done that before. However, after meeting Belinda in person I was immediately at ease. She has a genuine love for animals and was very flexible with my inconsistent work schedule. I will 100% rebook. -A very happy dog owner”

“I highly recommend Margaret. I have an energetic puppy. Margaret gave her a wonderful walk every day rain or shine, and played tug-of-war (my puppy's favorite!) with her reamining time. She communicated with me after every visit and sent me videos of the dog walks. I will absolutely use Margaret again. Very professional.”

About: I have been called a "dog whisperer" for my ability to patiently interact with a shy dog that I cared for in the past. I will bring that same gentleness with me when I interact with your pet. Additionally, my family has had two different dogs for the better part of fifteen years, and I have played a role in caring for each. I have a flexible schedule at this time, so I will be able to be responsive to your requests. At this time, I just need a notice of one day, and I will accept same day cancellations. When I am in your home, I will do my best to make sure your pet feels comfortable with my presence. Additionally, I will be sure to learn all of the relevant house rules that you have for your pet and will correct misbehavior.

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have my own puppy, Mika, and I’ve helped care for her dog parents and their litter of nine puppies, which gave me valuable experience with young dogs and the extra attention they require. I’ve also cared for a doodle named Libby, as well as my foster parents’ dogs, Bella and Brutus. Through these experiences, I’ve become comfortable managing multiple dogs, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and making sure each dog receives individual attention and care. As a nanny, I’m naturally patient, attentive, and dependable. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their personality, routines, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers a quieter environment, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I am on summer break from graduate school until I go back the last week of August. I currently have Tuesdays-Thursdays free and Saturdays and Sundays free! I will follow any sort of special feeding schedule, and I am able to crate dogs of they need to be! I have a dog who likes to try and run out the front door so I have lots of experience making sure dogs like her stay inside and safe! I also have 10+ years of cat experience and stick to strict feeding times and cleaning litter boxes!
About: I have been an animal lover all my life. i currently live with 5 cats, 2 dogs (yorky and cane corso lol) 1 bunny and 12 chickens. I also have freshwater aquariums and 4 guinea pigs that stay at my boyfriends!! I’ve taken care of elderly dogs and puppies and i’ve foster 3 sets of kittens!! If you’re looking for an animal lover look no further!!! I work part time so I have very open ability. my schedule changes frequently so some days i’m not available but just ask and we’ll work something out!! I choose to not bring any pets to my home because of how many i have, but I'm more than okay going to your home and hanging out with your pets, that way they are most comfortable. I can change litter boxes, go for walks, feed and water, and give your pets the lovings they deserve!!!
“10/10 would hire Taylor again to watch our cats. Our cats are normally pretty shy and skittish with new people, but Taylor did a great job interacting with them and making them feel safe. We are really impressed with the care and communication that Taylor provided and she made us feel confident that our fur babies were well taken care of while we were out of town.”

I booked super last second. Lyla was quick to respond and great at communicating. I trusted her to come to my home while we were out to meet my boys without us even home. Both of my dogs warmed up quickly which is a great sign she's to be trusted lol. She followed my instructions to a T. Gave lots of updates and pics! Will use again for sure

Riann was wonderful. She was on time so that we could make it to a funeral. Riann was willing to come to the campground we were staying at to walk our 2 dogs. It was such a blessing that she was willing to help us out in this stressful situation. She took excellent care of our 2 labs so that we didn’t have to worry. We are from Wisconsin, but any time we are in Michigan again we will make sure to request Riann!!

On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
