About: Hi there! I’m Grace. Me and my husband just moved to Maine this year, and we love it here! Before the move, I worked at a natural pet food store because of my passion for animals and all things holistic wellness. I also regularly pet sat, mainly through word of mouth referrals, so I’m somewhat new to Rover. I grew up caring for my family dogs and cat, as well as volunteering at the local shelter, which often led to fostering kittens. I previously worked as a professional dog handler at Free Spirit Doggy Daycare where there were often 50 plus dogs to take care of at a time. Me and my husband now have a rescue dog and two cats of our own who are my whole world! In my free time, I’m usually spending time with them, baking, hiking, or volunteering at a horse farm down the road. I’m looking to provide check ins and/or walks for your furry friend anytime they need some extra attention. I have experience taking care of dogs and cats (& more!) with extra needs such as severe anxiety or medical conditions that require medications. I understand that our pets are our family! I will treat your babies with all of the love and care that I would want my own to receive. I currently have a fairly open schedule throughout the week. I will be traveling some the end of this month (October) and in November but after that won’t be traveling for a long time, as I’ll be having a baby in March. We have a lab mix who enjoys our 3 acres, and two indoor cats who enjoy our window ledges, and playing with anything they decide is a toy. Every pet is different but for our guys, I find that as long as they have plenty of exercise, brain stimulation, good food, and time with me and my husband, they’re happy as can be. Lots of “behavioral” issues tend to actually be boredom, which is remedied with things like walks and brain stimulating play, or it could also be medical.
About: I have hands-on veterinary medicine experience, including working in an overnight animal emergency hospital, so I'm comfortable caring for pets with medical needs and recognizing when something may require veterinary attention. I'm experienced with medications, senior pets, anxious pets, and animals who need extra patience and individualized care. I also understand how important it is to maintain each pet's normal routine while their family is away. Caring for animals is a big part of my everyday life, so I’m very comfortable building my schedule around their needs. I prioritize keeping pets on their normal routines with regular meals, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, companionship, and medication when needed. My goal is to make their time away from their family feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. When house sitting, I keep pets in the comfort of their own home and maintain their normal routines as closely as possible. I provide regular potty breaks, walks, meals, playtime, companionship, and medications when needed. I take the time to learn each pet's personality, preferences, and boundaries so they receive individualized care rather than a one-size-fits-all routine. I also treat my clients' homes with the same care and respect I would my own, keeping things clean, secure, and comfortable while their family is away.
“Courtney came through for us when our previously booked sitter had to cancel the day before. She is very responsive and our pets loved her. We plan to use her again in the future!”

“Honestly- I don't know what we would do without Liseli. We hate leaving our anxious and sweet old dog Elvis. Liseli puts our minds at ease and when we mention her name to Elvis he definitely perks up- looking forward to each visit!!”

Im an artsy person; im in college for horticulture and I hope to work as an agricultural specialist. Veterinary assistant experience from York County Community College. I have five years of customer service experience. Looking for long-term work with friendly people who will make a list of specific details (if needed) for your pets. Im going to school online so I can always be available. I am very knowledgeable in Pet CPR. Fast reaction skills and attention to detail. Very capable on keeping environment clean and safe for any pet.
About: I have experience caring for an elderly dog who required daily medication and eye drops, so I understand the extra patience and attention that senior pets may need. I’m comfortable following medication schedules and ensuring pets receive the care they need. My dog is also very needy and loves constant attention, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs who want extra cuddles, companionship, and reassurance. I understand that every dog has different needs and personalities, and I’m happy to give them the time, patience, and attention they deserve. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine, especially on my days off. I currently work 10-hour shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so I am generally unavailable for extended daytime visits in those days. I have Thursdays and weekends off, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and longer stays. I’m also happy to work around my schedule when possible and communicate clearly with pet owners about my availability. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I would make sure they receive the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. I always try to keep pets as comfortable and happy as possible by sticking to their normal routine. In a client’s home, I’ll follow their instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and anything else their pet needs. I’m also happy to give pets plenty of attention and companionship, especially if they like having someone.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
