About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. “We had a really great experience and Nicole took such great care of Mia. Scheduling was easy, the meet and greet went very well. We received pictures and updates of Mia several times for a one day stay. Nicole also took Mia for several walks. Mia is an indoor dog and she definitely received a good amount of outdoor exercise time and indoor down time. Nicole has a 2 year old son who also loves dogs and got along very well with Mia. Nicole and her husband are such nice couple; warm and genuine. We feel comfortable that Mia is in good hands. Mia was happy and very relaxed when we picked her up. Nicole was also really great about accommodating our schedule as we were running late on pick up. We did not have a good experience boarding Mia at a kennel and found Rover. This was the first time we tried out a dog sitter through Rover. I can't say enough about how wonderful Nicole was with Mia. About: I have had a variety of pets my entire life. Friends, neighbors and family have trusted me to take excellent care of their pets. I have gone to their home, they have come to my home and I have visited just to walk them. I love all animals and have learned over the years how to recognize their individual needs. We have four acres of land far from the road with a big back yard and lots of woods and play space. My groomer told me there is a need for pet care and I want more pets in my life, so this is perfect for me. I work closely with pet parents to make sure your pet has everything they need to feel right at home. We are outside a lot! I love to walk in all kinds of weather and I love to play outside whenever possible. In addition, I love farm animals too! Your pets are safe in my back yard. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).

About: Used to be a manager for a mobile veterinary wellness clinic, have owned animals almost my whole life and currently have a giant bundle of fur chocolate lab at home. Intact 3 year old male. As well as a 4 year old boy and 4 month old boy and 2 tween girls who all love animals. DISCLAIMER- your pets MUST be well behaved enough around small children that are still learning how to safely approach animals in order for me to agree to sit them. Everyone’s safety is my number 1 priority as I have a 9 month old baby as well as other small children in the home. As I’m a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time throughout my day to implement your pets needs into our schedule. I don’t mind last minute bookings, as long as we’re free and non booked up. “Recently Aleisha did dog walking, check ins for over a 6 week period. She did house sitting for us over a five day trip and found her to be extremely responsible and responsive to all of our two dogs needs. One of our dogs has extreme separation anxiety and is very timid and has difficulty trusting new people. Aleisha came for dog walks a few weeks before our trip and gained Sadie's' trust over that period. While we were away, Sadie accepted Aleisha wholeheartedly. Upon our return, the dogs were excited but very calm and at ease – a real departure from other vacation experiences. Aleisha also spent several nights at our home house sitting. Again we found her to be a true pro and very reliable and respectful. We would have no problem using her again and would recommend her services to anyone who would ask. As a matter of fact, we will be using Aleisha for occasional walks to keep in touch with Sadie and keep their bonds intact. Just such a pleasure to have someone as reliable and trustworthy for both us and our pets.”

About: I always tune into the unique personality of each animal and I don't rest until I'm sure the animal knows its safe, loved and cared for. Since I was born I have loved animals so genuinely and patiently that I've never encountered a problem, even with the hard to figure out ones. I love them all and my husband does as well. About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. Now that I live here in Maine, I would like to continue my expertise and passion for animals, and connect with some loveable furry friends. I am an attentive, detail-oriented pet-sitter, who also knows the importance of respecting another person’s living space and maintaining routines for pets. After years of taking care of every size, shape and age of dog, no request from the owner is too wacky. “We had a really great experience and Nicole took such great care of Mia. Scheduling was easy, the meet and greet went very well. We received pictures and updates of Mia several times for a one day stay. Nicole also took Mia for several walks. Mia is an indoor dog and she definitely received a good amount of outdoor exercise time and indoor down time. Nicole has a 2 year old son who also loves dogs and got along very well with Mia. Nicole and her husband are such nice couple; warm and genuine. We feel comfortable that Mia is in good hands. Mia was happy and very relaxed when we picked her up. Nicole was also really great about accommodating our schedule as we were running late on pick up. We did not have a good experience boarding Mia at a kennel and found Rover. This was the first time we tried out a dog sitter through Rover. I can't say enough about how wonderful Nicole was with Mia. About: I have had a variety of pets my entire life. Friends, neighbors and family have trusted me to take excellent care of their pets. I have gone to their home, they have come to my home and I have visited just to walk them. I love all animals and have learned over the years how to recognize their individual needs. We have four acres of land far from the road with a big back yard and lots of woods and play space. My groomer told me there is a need for pet care and I want more pets in my life, so this is perfect for me. I work closely with pet parents to make sure your pet has everything they need to feel right at home. We are outside a lot! I love to walk in all kinds of weather and I love to play outside whenever possible. In addition, I love farm animals too! Your pets are safe in my back yard. I always go outside with the pets and will use a leash if need be. I make pets feel right at home inside our home as well. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. If you want a pet caretaker you can count on who will treat your animals as well as their own, I'm your gal! I am operating my pet care business, Mainely Pets - Care & Products, full-time! This means I have lots of availability to care for your pets, but for house-sitting in particular it is best to reach out significantly in advance to ensure I can fit you in! Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).
About: I'm a genuine dog lover! I've always trained my dogs on basic tricks and commands.I'm aware that dogs have their own personalities, fears, and strengths. I work part-time. I have a flexible schedule. I'm open to having dogs in my house throughout the week and some weekends, if needed, and also just walks. I don't have a fenced yard. About: I have always taken care of dogs and they have always been my favourite part of the world I’m currently in college and I can’t wait to get a bunch of dogs of my own. I currently have 1 of my own who is a rescue. I have a dream of working with animals later in life. I guarantee your dog will be in safe and caring hands! I currently am not working so I have a ton of free time on my hands I do have a small business where I make art and crochet. I am currently living with my boyfriend and he has a dog as well who is a gentle giant. We love to take our dogs on walks at least twice a day and they are running around outside most of the time in the fenced in backyard.

I have a big house with a decent sized yard (NOT fenced). I'd love a few more companions hanging out with me and my dog, Lola! There aren't a lot of pet sitting options in this area so here I am making it an option :) Please come check me out! I work from home so i am here all day with the pets and able to tend to them as needed. i get an hour break for lunch and thats usually when i take my dog out to play/walk.
