Travis and Roberta were critical in helping us get our dog settled the first week we had him! They were so kind and patient with him. He loved going over to their house when we couldn’t be home! Their dog was older than ours and was also patient and gentle with him, so it was great socialization for our pup! We will definitely be booking with them again in the future!

Michael was fastastic with my poodle. He took our last minuite and we were very happy. My dog slept all the way home so I could tell he was tired from being given attention and being played with all day. I would not hesitate to use Michael again.

Lauren watched our dog twice. She was fantastic both times. Our dog, Rylee, likes all people but she really took to Lauren. And for good reason -- Lauren is a true dog lover. She walked Rylee each time and sent us pics during the day. Finally, Lauren went above and beyond. Our car broke down in Moss Landing and had to be towed back to Pacific Grove. Lauren kept Rylee into the evening and brought her to us. We recommend her highly.

About: I have always owned/ cared for pets my entire life, which makes 25 years of caring for pets. I went to SUNY Alfred State College of technology, where I received my associates degree in veterinary technology, as well as a bachelors degree in technology management Fall of 2021. I started off volunteering at animal shelters in the fall of 2016. I worked as a Kennel assistant throughout the years of 2016 to 2020. I worked as a Veterinary Assistant from 2020 to 2023. I am currently a Veterinary Technician (Emergency animal nurse) at Veterinary Emergency Group. I have animal training, grooming, and Veterinary medical experience. I work a full time job at Veterinary Emergency Group three days a week. 12 hour shifts. I can also bring pets to work with me as well. So I am available all days out of the week. I do not have a fenced in yard, but there is a hiking trail around the corner from my home where I walk my own dogs daily. Pets will never be put in a crate. (Unless you prefer for them to be crated) They are welcomed to walk around my house, on the couch, and in my bed. I feed my dogs twice a day and they get walked 3-4 times a day. Whenever I have to run errands they stay at home with pee pee pads located around the house.

I am currently off for the summer since I work in a school. I can spend time caring for and playing with fur babies. I can visit up to 4 times a day or have them stay at my house. About: I’ve had dogs in my life since the fourth grade, and I truly can’t remember a time without one! Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds—whether for neighbors, family, friends, or even friends of friends. I’ve cared for puppies up to senior pups.Dogs have always been a part of my everyday life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We absolutely adore our Chihuahua, Romeo, and we’d care for your furry friend just like we care for him — with love, patience, and lots of cuddles. My husband and I split our work-from-home days, so someone’s almost always around during the week, and we're both home on weekends. We do not go out much. We are home bodies and like it that way. I have a fully wooden fenced with chicken wire backyard and live in a quiet, dog friendly neighborhood with very little traffic. If your pup needs a crate, that’s totally fine we can manage that otherwise, they’re welcome to roam free and make themselves at home. We only have one resident dog, a sweet little Chihuahua whose favorite activity is sunbathing and napping.

About: Hi there! I'm Marlenny — a work-from-home mom with two gentle, dog loving kids and a deep love for furry friends. I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a child and cared for my own sweet pup for 11 years before he went to live with family. He was thriving with me, and I’ve missed that companionship ever since. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable home with a yard where your pup can play and relax. My kids are respectful and gentle, and we’ll make sure your dog feels part of the family. I work remotely, so your dog will have plenty of company, cuddles, and supervision throughout the day. They’ll be walked, played with, and of course, showered with love! Because I do have small children in the home, I kindly ask that all dogs be fully potty trained or wear diapers if needed. I’m happy to accommodate unique routines or care instructions — just let me know what your pup needs, and I’ll do my best to make them feel right at home. I work remotely, so your dog will have plenty of company, cuddles, and supervision throughout the day. They’ll be walked, played with, and of course, showered with love! Pets in my care are treated with love, respect, and gentle attention at all times. I create a calm, safe environment where they can feel secure and part of the family. I closely follow any routines or instructions provided and keep a watchful eye on them throughout the day, especially since I work from home and am always nearby. Walks are done on-leash, and I avoid any unsafe areas or interactions. Safety, comfort, and trust are my top priorities.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - New Square

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 10,636 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across New Square. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your New Square commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 10,636 sitters in New Square, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
