“Nyla walked our dog for us. She was very knowledgable about dogs and listened to all of our concerns. She took good care of our dog, being attentive to other dogs that may have been a threat to avoid any negative interactions. She sent us lots of pictures and a report card! We plan to work with her again and would highly recommend her.”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats, currently working full-time as a kennel technician at a doggy daycare. I am also pursuing my veterinary technician education, deepening my knowledge and skills in animal care every day. Animals have always been a part of my life—growing up in a family who loves pets, I’ve had dogs since I was a child and share a lifelong passion for their well-being. I would be honored to care for your furry family members, providing walks, cuddles, and attentive, loving care while giving you peace of mind. I am currently working full-time as a kennel technician, so scheduling services with me does require at least one week’s notice. That said, I will have increased availability in the near future and will be more flexible with scheduling at that time. If an emergency situation arises and you need immediate assistance, I am typically available outside of my work hours and will do my best to accommodate you. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss your scheduling. I’m always happy to help! I share my home with two friendly, sweet dogs and one affectionate cat, and I make sure to give them plenty of walks, playtime, and attention every day. Caring for my own pets has given me hands-on experience with exercise, training, and affection, and I bring that same level of love and dedication to every animal I care for.
“Emily was very responsive and communicated very well with us. She did just what we asked her to do. We hired her to take our dog on a 15-minute walk, and she even took the time to take a picture of him to send to us.”

About: I’ve taken care of my fiancés parents dogs for 5 years! I love them to death! They have nine dogs that range in ages from puppy to senior. I have done everything from administering medication to the basics. When they go on vacation I am who they trust to watch their animals. I can care for all animals even farm animals and I would love to care for yours!! I do currently work a full time job and my schedule is very scattered. However I work early hours and am usually off by 1:30pm. But I would love to watch them after work/ on my days off. I do not mind fitting your animals into my schedule. I love animals and do not care to take time out of my day to care for your fur babies!! I currently cannot care for animals in my own home, I am very sorry. However I do not mind caring for them in yours as I will treat your home just like mine, if not better!
“Alexis was fantastic! She had great communication from start to finish, brought treats for our dogs, and gave us detailed updates and photos during her visit. Knowing our dogs were being so well cared for made our day at Dollywood completely stress-free. She was reliable, thoughtful, and clearly loves animals. We would absolutely book with Alexis again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter or dog walker!”

“Matthew showed up as scheduled to walk Oakley to give him a potty break and some excercise. After their walk he fed Oakley his lunch. It is so nice to know Oakley was care for while we are work. We will use him again.”

About: I have had pets all my life. I love them all…especially the doggies! We have four rescue pups, a bunny and and a bearded dragon so we share the love with all different animals. I started a dog treat bakery business a couple of years ago that’s really starting to grow, so I’m now transitioning from the 9-5 job so I can pursue my passion for animals full time. I own my own dog bakery and work from home, so my availability is very flexible. We have an 11 acre farm with 2 separate “dog yards”. I will take your dog(s) for long walks and of course playtime if they like, give them food water and treats as needed, and I’m happy to accommodate with any special requests if your fur baby has a favorite activity, treat, or any special needs.
“Vanessa is great! She listened to our instructions for our dog, and provided updates and took lots of photos on the walk. We would love to have her walk our dog again.”

“This was our first time using the Rover app, and we were a bit nervous, but it worked out wonderfully! Megan took such great care of Theo, took him for a walk, and even stopped by the dog park so he could play. We loved that she sent pictures along the way—it made us feel so comfortable knowing he was happy. She even offered to come meet him the day before to get familiar with his routine and our location, which was such a thoughtful touch. If you’re staying at Anchor Down RV Park, she would be the perfect sitter to trust with your baby! We hope to use her next year!”

About: I'm a veterinarian out due to an injury. Missing the interactions with fur babies! I'm slowly getting back to work but until I'm full time again I'd like to help people out by caring for their beloved pets! I will treat them as my own and communicate with the owners as often as they want! No animal is off limits! They will be in great hands. I'm home most of the time aside from occasional doctors appointments and occasionally work shifts (currently very part time) I have 3 cats and 1 dog myself. Other than working with animals as a veterinarian, my own pets are a full time job. They bring me such joy and entertainment. Even as an adult, if I pass someone with a pet I will always stop to ask to pet it. I'm extremely detail oriented. I'm always observing behavior and their regular routine. If something seems off I will address it and communicate it immediately. My love for animals is my life's work.
“Emmy was great!. We went to Cincinnati for a baseball game. Cotton can be alone for a long time, but we knew it would be a 12 hour day. Emmy came to take Cotton on a long walk. Cotton got some company and a potty break. Then a big nap. Emmy even sent some pics of Cotton on the walk. Thanks!”

“Sydney did a great job of taking care of my pup, Mickey, while we were on vacation in Sevierville, May 8 -13, 2026. Sydney was good with Mickey and very reliable. She regularly drove Mickey to Patriot Park for walks. She even took care of Mickey on Mother's Day, which allowed my family and me to spend the day worry-free at Anakeesta Adventure Park. I hope Sydney's available again next year!”

“Wonderful. Communication was key- sends updates and pictures! Our dogs were very happy and exercised! Rachel is willing to jog/run with your dogs, not just walk them!! She made us feel very comfortable. We will definitely be asking Rachel to care for our pets again in the future.”

About: I have had pets in my home for as long as I can remember. These loving, sweet members of our families deserve only the best care. - 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
