“Nyla was an amazing Rover! She was able to work with us last minute and was very flexible. She was also amazing with our difficult dog! Can't wait to book with her in the future.”

About: I am experienced in pet care. I'm an active animal foster and have been around animals of all sizes and ages. I also know how to administer meds, so if your baby is on anything no doses will be missed. I work from home, so your pet will have plenty of love and attention. I leave the house once daily to drop my kids off at school, so outside of that I'm here. I grocery shop Sundays so your baby will nearly never be alone. I have 2 dog that are used to other animals being in and out with me being a foster. I also have the ability to keep pets seperate but kennels must be provided. Please also bring a leash. I can only provide care to leash trained, house trained, kennel trained dogs.
“Wendy took care of my cats while I was away for two weeks! She did amazing and even kept in contact with me through the hurricane to let me know how the cats and the house was doing. Cats seemed happy and I definitely appreciated having Wendy to check in on them.”

“Jayne was great! This was our first time using Rover and she was so attentive to our cats while we were away at our wedding. The cats warmed up to her quickly and she was very communicative - we look forward to working with her again in the future!”

About: I’ve worked with dogs for many years, starting as a dog walker in Boston MA to then owning my own pet-related business, including Lexi’s Lucky Pup K9 Care in Manchester, NH (2023) and Lexi’s Paws & Peace Grooming in Pawtucket, RI (2025). I have experience with all different personalities, breeds, and energy levels. I’m very patient, attentive, and good at reading animals, especially dogs that are anxious, shy, or high energy. I prioritize safety, comfort, a low-stress environment, and of course making sure pets have fun! I also work in senior caregiving, so being responsible, communicative, and detail-oriented comes naturally to me. I know how important it is to trust the person watching your pets, and I try to make owners feel as comfortable as possible through updates, photos, and consistency. I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and can usually accommodate different routines, potty schedules, walks, and drop-off/pick-up times. I currently live full-time in an RV in a quiet campground setting - and yes, I know that probably sounds unexpected at first (e) — but it's actually a calm, nature-filled environment with a fully fenced-in yard and lots of supervised outdoor time. Pets are welcome to relax wherever they're most comfortable, whether that's on the couch, on my bed, in a dog bed, outside in the fenced yard, or even lounging outside with me on the lawn chairs getting fresh air. I work from home, so pets get lots of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, outdoor time, and interaction throughout the day.

About: I was raised in a household where dogs and cats were always part of the family, which helped me develop a deep passion for their well-being from an early age. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience in caring for both species, understanding their unique needs and personalities. My knowledge extends to administering oral medications safely and effectively, always ensuring the animal is comfortable and stress-free during the process. I make it a priority to provide plenty of comfort and affection, as well as engaging playtime tailored to each pet’s preferences, helping to keep them both happy and healthy. This lifelong experience has made me attentive, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting the health and happiness of dogs and cats alike. With my flexible schedule, pet care easily integrates into both my daily and weekly routines. I am able to adjust my availability to meet the needs of each animal, ensuring meals, medication, exercise, and affection are provided at consistent times that suit their habits. This flexibility allows me to devote focused attention during morning, afternoon, and evening hours, whether it’s feeding and playtime or walks and grooming. On a weekly basis, I plan for deeper cleaning and enrichment activities, such as refreshing litter boxes, rotating toys for stimulation, and scheduling longer walks or social outings for dogs. My adaptable approach ensures that every pet receives the care and companionship they deserve, regardless of my other commitments, making their well-being a top priority throughout each day and week. Providing a safe environment for the animals is fundamental to their well-being and peace of mind. This includes ensuring that the living spaces are free of hazards, such as toxic plants, accessible electrical cords, or small objects that could be swallowed. Safety measures like secure fences for dogs and proper window screens for cats help prevent accidents and escape attempts, allowing pets to relax and feel protected in their surroundings. The importance of a safe environment extends beyond physical safety—it also reduces stress and anxiety, which can impact both behavior and health. When pets know their space is secure, they are more likely to thrive, exhibit positive behaviors, and form trusting bonds with their caretaker. By prioritizing safety, I create a nurturing atmosphere where every animal can enjoy comfort, companionship, and the freedom to play and explore without worry.
About: I have had pets all my life. I love them all…especially the doggies! We have four rescue pups, a bunny and and a bearded dragon so we share the love with all different animals. I started a dog treat bakery business a couple of years ago that’s really starting to grow, so I’m now transitioning from the 9-5 job so I can pursue my passion for animals full time. I own my own dog bakery and work from home, so my availability is very flexible. We have an 11 acre farm with 2 separate “dog yards”. I will take your dog(s) for long walks and of course playtime if they like, give them food water and treats as needed, and I’m happy to accommodate with any special requests if your fur baby has a favorite activity, treat, or any special needs.
“Cara was amazing with our two pups. We have a 17.5 year old, very high maintenance sweet girl, and I felt so comfortable after meeting Cara and seeing her interact with our Olive. She was so sweet to our younger pup and sent the best pictures of them both. It was great to have peace of mind that our kiddos were well take. Care of while we were on vacation. 💜💜💜”
“She was so great to our 3mo pup who had to come on vacation because she’s still too young for boarding. She was easy to communicate with, came to our cabin, and was very kind to our babe.”

“Thank you so much Tiffany, Kilo and Carter say Hi and thank you for taking great care of them, not to mention entertaining them. Im sooo glad I found someone I trust with my boys. I will definitely be contacting you again, hopefully soon for our next outing.😁 Billy , Carter & Kilo 🐕🐕”

“She stepped in for us last minute and was incredible! Our dogs were so well taken care of, and she kept us updated the whole time which meant a lot. It’s not easy trusting someone with your pets, but she made it completely stress-free. We’re so thankful she was able to help on short notice and would absolutely book with her again!”

About: i have many years of experience caring for animals from guinea pigs all the way to a Great Dane. I have been a veterinary assistant but I currently work at a boarding and daycare facility. I have open availability. My current job is extremely flexible. I have my own pets that I care for as well as other pets with my current role at the boarding and daycare facility. My pets at my home are very well taken care of with a fenced yard. I would prefer to watch/care for your fur babies at your home as my outside dogs are not always friendly to new comers
About: I’ve grown up with all sorts of dogs my whole life! From small to little - I love them all. My friends and family have always entrusted me to help take care of their dogs or cats and I promise to take good care of yours too! I also have a background in photography & am happy to provide photos of your dog. I have a German Shepherd named Cash (after Johnny Cash of course) and I still help care for my mama’s puppy named Chief. I look forward to meeting your furry friends :) I work for the University of Tennessee and have large breaks in my work schedule where I can take care of your pet! I am dedicated and hard working, I will always make time to help out. I live in an apartment so it is much better for me to do drop-ins and at-home visits. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
