Emma was great with our dogs, however. We met with her prior to booking so we could get to know her and our dogs could meet her as well. We spoke about the time being 12noon and that was not a problem. The first day (Monday) she was here on time, the next 3 days she arrived at 1pm. 1 hr later then discussed. Then Friday morning she texted us stating she was stuck at a house she was cleaning and was not gonna be able to make it. My wife had to rush from work in Sidney to take them out, then rush back. Keep in mind we had already paid for the entire week.

About: Ever since I was a child, I was responsible for the care of a variety of animals, and I mean solely responsible. Growing up (and today), I was the one that friends and family came to for pet sitters and care/training advice. I prioritize following pet care instructions to a tee- I do not cut corners on even the most “meticulous” of care instructions. With me, you can trust that your fur babies will receive the highest quality of care and attention because of my intrinsic love for animals. My days vary a lot, but I am often able to make time if you give me a week’s notice. If you need urgent pet care, do not hesitate to reach out. I cannot promise that I will 100% be available, but I will make the time if I have it. Honestly, I prefer to play by the owner’s rules when caring for their pets. Besides that, I refuse to take anything but a gentle approach with the pets. I am very careful to only administer treats/toys as the owner instructs.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and helped at the local vet clinic growing up. My last dog passed away from heart failure in 2022. It’s a busy time for my sons activities so it’s not a good time to bring a full time dog into our home at this time but would love to help others out. I work full time outside the home M-TH from 8-3 and half day Fridays (occasional Fridays totally free). I am willing to be flexible with week day stays if they can manage being alone during those hours. Our yard is unfenced but I would walk or chain them out depending on owner preference. They would be treated like they were my own.

Jessica is the sweetest soul, truly. She’s cared for our cats while we are out of town and has also walked our three legged dog, Ace. Animals instantly gravitate toward her calming presence and I am endlessly relieved someone so loving and kind is caring for my animals when I’m out of town. She’s amazing!

About: ASK ABOUT WHAT DISCOUNTS AND PROMOTIONS I CURRENTLY HAVE Hey, I’m sure you’re wondering “why should I let this guy near my precious animal?” or something or that nature. Well here’s some basic info for you. -I’m a pet owner of 2 absolutely adorable troublemakers that I’ve raised since they were kittens so I can keep animals alive for extended time. I’ve also lived with roommates who had their own pets and have plenty of experience caring for other peoples animals. -I use to work/volunteer at an animal shelter when I was in college for a year so I have a experience working one on one and with groups of animals -Friends and family always remark on how well I get along with animals and how much I absolutely love them more than humans -I am very cooperative/receptive with your pets needs and your wishes! It’s your pet so you’ll know more than me what they need when it comes to their care. Trust me as a fellow pet owner I know! -I’m always happy to answer questions before you’d like to use me so ask away! I work a full time job Monday through Friday, sometimes weekends, and on 3rd shift hours so my availability will be unfortunately restricted to morning hours, however I will try my best to be as available as possible! Sometimes I can work outside my posted availability but no promises, feel free to ask! I do special promotions and discounts as well, ask away! I’ll treat your pet as I would treat my pets. Try and give them a clean and safe environment, with plenty of food and water and a clean litter box.

About: Hi! I've taken care of animals for about 40 years. I had horses growing up, then my kids got into 4h and I've help raise chicken, turkeys, pigs, and dairy feeders. I've also had numerous big dogs that have lived to be anywhere from 10 to 14 years. We recently rescued our dog harley and we use rover when we go on vacation so I thought I would help others with the stress of worrying about their pets while they are gone. I promise to care for them like they were my own.❤️ I'm not working so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pup! I have open availability to watch ur babies in ur home, have drop in visits, or just go for a walk!! I would prefer to watch pets in your home bc my pet isn't very dog friendly and is very protective of my husband and I.

I’m very reliable, detail-oriented, and used to caring for others—so you can trust that your pet will be safe and well taken care of. I’m happy to follow your pet’s exact routine, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or giving medications (if needed). During every visit, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, and I always send updates with photos so you feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m available for dog walking and drop-in visits, and I do my best to be flexible with scheduling. I also try to respond quickly to messages! I’d love to meet you and your pet 🐶💕 Pet care is something I intentionally build into my routine each week. I keep a structured schedule as a nursing student and nursing assistant, so I plan my days to ensure I’m available, on time, and able to give each pet my full attention. Walks and drop-in visits fit perfectly with my active lifestyle, and I genuinely enjoy spending that time with animals. I’m not able to host pets in my home, but I provide dependable care in clients’ homes through drop-in visits and walks. I stick closely to each pet’s routine and make sure they’re safe, comfortable, and well cared for, with regular updates and photos.

About: I have had a deep love for animals my entire life. I’ve always grown up around cats, dogs, rabbits and even reptiles! I also used to raise & show lambs for 4H at the Clark County Fair, so I am used to the routine and responsibilities that come with animals. I have experience working at DogTown where I learned valuable skills on keeping dogs happy and calm during their boarding experience. I know it can be very stressful leaving your animal in someone’s hands, but I’m willing to do everything I can to make sure your pet is well taken care of! 🐾 I work as a part-time EMT (I usually work overnight shifts) and I am a full-time college student, but I have control over which days and times I work. Overall my schedule can be flexible and I am happy to work to ensure your pet is getting the most quality care and attention! Unfortunately, I live in an apartment where animals are not allowed. However, I am more than happy to come to your home for care! While being in a clients home it is my goal to keep it as clean as possible and respect that space! I can also do walking or playtime where the owner prefers to ensure the pet is as close to their normal routine as possible.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 780 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across New Carlisle. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your New Carlisle. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in New Carlisle.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Carlisle. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
