âApril is truly a dog whisperer! She watched my two Yorkies at my home, and I couldn't be more impressed. One of my dogs, Dawson, has severe separation anxiety and usually takes a long time to trust strangers. To my total shock, it was love at first sight for himâhe didn't even care when I left! April took wonderful care of my fur babies and even went above and beyond by leaving my house spotless. Finding someone Dawson trusts is rare, and Iâll definitely be booking April again.â

âMichayla took care of my two cats for a week while I was on vacation, and she did a wonderful job! She is very caring and attentive, and she made sure to send me pictures and updates throughout the week which really put my mind at ease. I will definitely book her again in the future.â

âBlair was wonderful with our senior dog who knows what he wants and when he wants it. It was comforting to see regular update pictures of him doing what he loves to do everyday in his own home. We already have future time booked with Blairâ

âAlex is a fantastic pet sitter. The instructions for my senior cat can be a bit complicated - Alex took care of her and our golden retriever so well. Highly recommend. She left our house the way we left it, was very communicative, and trustworthy person.â

âAshley did a great job watching our pups. Communication was fantastic⌠pics and texts, as weâd discussed up front. She even checked on our chickens when the weather became unseasonably warm! Thanks Ashley!â

About: I intern at an animal sanctuary where I provide full animal care to cats, dogs, foxes, birds, wolves, horses, a beaver, a bear, an elk, and much more. I have been there for over a year as well as taken care of many other animals for families over night and daily check ins. I am studying environmental science where I hope to work with animals so I have been gaining a lot of experience and knowledge with all kinds. I work another job currently as well as school so my check ins would be early morning and nights. My schedule varies from day to day so Iâm willing to work it out as needed. I am available for over nights almost every night. I have watched animals with and without fences. I have gained a lot of experience in how to keep both me and the animals safe from my internship knowledge.

âJacqueline was great! She provided updates and pictures on a daily basis of my dog. I could tell he was having a fantastic time with her and was being loved on. He was ridiculously excited to see her again when she stopped by the next day to pick up something she forget.â

About: Dogs have been a part of my life ever since I was a kid! Whether it's been my own pups through the years, or family and neighbors dogs, I've always strived to love and care for them just like my own! Small dogs, large dogs, seniors or puppies, you can trust me to provide the best possible care for them! If itâs cats that you have in any way, either a dog and a cat or just cats, donât worry, I can still help there! I am more than willing to take care of any cat! Though Iâve never owned cats personally, I have had experience in being around them and cat sitting here and there! Cats are great and full of such varied personality, Iâm always more than happy to watch them and to care for them! I also have experience in housesitting! Do you need your flowers watered? Mail checked? You can depend on me there too! I can also provide you with photos of your pet! So you never miss your best friend! Whether you need me to stay home with your pet, check in, or go on a walk with them, I promise to care and love them, only the best for your pet! Right now, it's the summer before college for me, and for you that means excellent, open availability for your pet care needs! Whether itâs a morning check-in, afternoon walk, or overnight housesitting, my schedule is very flexible! The only scheduling conflict that happens every week is on Tuesdays, I give private instrumental lessons! If your pet has an established routine, if you let me know, I can follow it! If I have any other plans that interfere with my commitment to caring for your pup, I promise to let you know. It's important to be honest! I can follow established schedules, clean, and be trusted to care for your dog/cat! To people who love dogs and cats, they are best friends and give the warmth of companionship, and more than that they are family. I promise to treat the valued member of your family with the utmost care and respect. When walking your dog, I will always keep them leashed. One of the best ways to keep dogs safe outside near roads and urban areas is to do just that. Iâll make sure all doors are locked when at the home and when going, for the safety of your pet, you, and your home. You can depend on me.
About: What sets me apart is that I truly treat every pet like theyâre my own. Iâm patient, gentle, and I love making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while youâre away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because Iâm already very responsible and used to caring for animals. I make time in my schedule for feeding, litter box care, playtime, and giving pets attention so they feel comfortable and cared for. I care for pets in my clientâs home by following their routine closely and making sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I handle feeding, fresh water, walks or potty breaks, cleaning up after them, and giving them attention and care while respecting the ownerâs instructions and the petâs personality.
âWe are new to the Cincinnati area, and finding a new pet sitting can be quite daunting. We are so fortunate to have had AJ take care of our 3 papillons and house for the past week. During the meet and greet, my 3 liked AJ immediately. He is a good communicator and very conscientious. We received several updates, and found our dogs happy and healthy upon our return. He also kept our house very tidy. We will definitely book AJ when we need pet sitting in the future. 5ââ

âEmma is amazing! She cared for our girl like she was her own and helped us out on short notice. Our dog has separation anxiety and was right at home with Emma. We hope to have her back again soon.â

About: i have taken care of some sort of animal since i can remember. My first best friend was Danger, a beautiful Pit Bull i potty and command trained at 5 years old. Since Danger i have raised a variety of dogs (big and small), cats (various breeds), my birds (Vickie and Victoria), one turtle, several fish, etc. My longest lived relative was Chewie (small dog) who recently passed away nearly making it to 20 years old! I am in the process of learning food and natural remedies that can extend the lives of dogs and cats as i truly love animals more than most people. Even having a few terrifying memories with animals, i still hold true to the fact no animal is ever evil or wicked, like some humans. If an animal is mean, it has a reason to be such a way, and all it needs to heal and become clean is a little Jesus love to let the small critter know, âYou are appreciated.â This mantra and mindset has taken me very far in life, and enables me to be your Petâs Next Best Friend! Donât worry, Dogs are happy! Pets are my passion! i ensure you we provide everything your pet needs under one woof! Who is we? Me myself & i, i like big mutts and i cannot lie, but i love the pitter patter of tiny paws too! i know, i know.. âyou had me at woofâ but i cannot stress enough how pets are my passion. I am the top dog walker & caretaker, and i assure you we will fetch amazing results! Book with us! I double dog dare you! i currently work at a suit shop (Menâs Wearhouse near the Kenwood Mall) selling suits! I am in a transition period of trying to get my first solo dental practice up and running! Those are the two âjobsâ which consume my time, but truly i tell you i consider neither real work as i love both as a passion. When i am not doing either of those things i am typically found deep in the Word of God, with my family, or out and about in nature or at a dog park. I have a very wide schedule as i prioritize every second of each day to maximize my time. You ever meet someone and think, âhow do you do all that in a single day? Do you have more than 24hrs to work with?â If you have never met someone like this.. hello! Nice to meet you! I am happy to be the first! đ I have the same approach well similar is a better word. My approach for pets in my home is simple. Treat pets as any other honored or distinguished guest. I keep a variety of snacks and treats at home, such as peanut butter, and a variety of other treats like 360 pet care freeze dried snacks, i have a few toys that seem to be popular among cats and dogs, a case of laser pointers, in case one stops working.. hate to be caught without one when the cats especially are having a good time! I try to stay as prepared as possible for any circumstance that may arise. At my clients home i do the same, and i pack a travel bag similar to the one i bring to the dog park when i frequent there. The prime difference between at home and at a clients home is i practice pet care with added, greater attention to detail. Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself, but i tell you (myself) love your neighbor greater than yourself, better than yourself, and you will do well! So with that in mind i try to always think of ways to do more, do better, and be better whenever someone graciously invites me to their home, and whatever i devise i later apply it to myself, so my overall abilities may rise, then i rinse and repeat!
âKatie is an incredible petsitter!!! She managed taking care of my 3 pets, including one who goes to daycare 3 times a week. My husband and I went on a week-long vacation and I didnât have to worry about our pets or home a single time. Katie sent me daily updates, which was awesome, and took the time to meet with us beforehand. Seriously canât recommend her enough!â

About: Since about 12 years old my neighborhood friends would hire me to dogs sit while their family went out of town. Iâve always had a huge amount of love for animals so I never had any problem doing so. Fast forward 5 years later my parents began breeding French bulldogs. My siblings and I had a lot of responsibility on our hands are far as feeding them, bathing, keeping them groomed, making sure theyâre up to date on shots and etc. I currently work from home so thatâs enables me with plenty of free time to walk, play with/take to the park, and feed your lovely animals! In my home my dog is crate trained. I do have a crate for my puppy for if friends come over and are not comfortable with him I can put him away for a few hours. I prefer all animals be crate trained , but only go to the crate if they would like to do so. I do not mind dogs walking around my house. I have a puppy of my own so every morning I get up and take my puppy on a 30 minute walk as well as every evening once I get home from work. I have an animal friendly house so I usually let pups/kittys run around the house as long as theyâve been fed and taken out for a potty break.
About: Iâve had dogs my entire life, and after recently saying goodbye to my own, Iâm excited to share my love with yours. I also have a cat of my own, which has given me an even deeper understanding of different pet personalities and care needs. I provide compassionate, reliable care for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies needing playtime and patience to senior pets requiring extra gentleness and understanding, as well as cats who may need a calm and respectful approach. What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals and treating each one like family. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 7â3, but Iâm still available to provide reliable, loving care for pets before or after work and on weekends when needed. Iâm always happy to be flexible, just ask! đ¤ I live in an apartment, so dogs will have to go on leash walks for exercise and bathroom breaks. I also have a cat, so any dogs in my care must be comfortable and able to get along with cats. I can crate them if needed, or theyâre welcome on all furniture â¤ď¸. I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment, making sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and happy while in my care.
About: Hi there! My name is Amanda! I am currently 25 years old and one major thing about me is that I will love any pet like my own. I have never met a dog I haven't loved and truly I just donât think itâs in the cards for me! As for experiences with pet sitting, my first experience was in high school. I would help care for pets of close relatives when they went out of town on weekends, as well as, provided walks and feedings on date nights. It was such an incredible feeling, not only getting to spend time and care for pets outside of my home but to be trusted enough within their loving homes. Little did 17 year old me know what was to come. At 18 I started being reached out to by friends of friends and more distant relatives, simply by word of mouth. It felt like a dream and still does to this day that people speak so kindly of me without any hesitation. I quickly realized just how fulfilling and passionate I am about caring for pets and soon applied and got accepted to work part time at a dog boarding center for 3 years, alongside my personal pet sitting gigs. As loving and supportive my coworkers and I tried to make it, it truly never did compare to the at home services I was simultaneously doing. Working there truly transformed my views on just how valuable and meaningful it is for both the pets and parents to feel loved and cared for in the safety and comfort of their own home, and how important and special it is to stay on their selected routines in a timely manner. As many can assume, caring for 20ish dogs at a time is much less personalized and catered towards them as a whole rather than their specific needs. I started to feel bothered and would find myself frustrated when dogs I learned to love so much were not taken care of in ways they deserved. Some on the more nervous and anxious side were put into situations they were not comfortable in and was heart wrenching to know they would so much rather be cared for at homes. Now stating this, of course some dogs are cut out for the rambunctious and social life and love it, although, definitely not all and leaving the facility was a hard but dedicated decision to put in my upmost effort to provide for dogs with detailed and trusted care at all hours, catered towards each lifestyle individually. I now currently have a list of almost 20 clients, some from when I was 17, to some I have just met this past year who reach out to me for animal care. I canât help but assume more dogs could be cared for one-on-one under personal comforting care and I would love nothing more than to continue and expand my journey on loving and caring for pets locally around the Cincinnati area! I have a very flexible schedule at the moment. I currently nanny part time as well as work part time for concerts under live nation entertainment. Pet sitting truly has become my main focus especially this year so I value part time jobs that currently give me great amounts of flexibility and freedom to change and switch around schedules when and if ever needed! Alongside providing specialized care for pets, I fully endorse the upmost respect for people inviting me into their homes. I understand how important trust and communication is from both sides and how every home security is catered different towards one another. I find myself constantly double checking locked doors and really treat each home like my own, following all instructions given by the home owner.

FAQs for House Sitting - Neville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 977 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Neville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Neville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Neville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Neville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Neville. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
