“Jimena took good care of our dog while we went to explore Grandfather Mountain and they only allow dogs in the nature discover center if one has a service dog. Next time we return to Boone, we will definitely reach out to Jimena especially when we plan to explore areas that do not allow fur babies. She created a lovely space for dogs to run and or relax. Thanks Jimena.”

“Wonderful carers—very happy with the concern shown for my dogs. Location a bit off the beaten (e.g. paved) path.”

“Ken took great care of my puppy when I needed to come in from out of town to attend a memorial service. He gave her lots of exercise which is what she needed between 2 long road trips.”

“I was a bit nervous about using a sitter service for the first time. But after just one day, seeing the pure joy on Shelby's face when I picked her up made it all worth it! She was so tired when we got home, which was evidence of how much fun she had. Lori is wonderful; she keeps me updated with sweet texts, pictures, and videos throughout the day! I will definitely be using Rover AND Lori again!!”

“Kara was very responsive and friendly. Micah had a great time hanging out with her and playing in the backyard — he came home very tired. Thank you!”

“Carols was the perfect sitter for my little dog. He tends to be anxious, especially around other dogs. Carols helped him feel comfortable & he got a chance to socialize with her dog which was very good for him. I hope to leave him with her again.”

“Kayleah was very sweet and really helped us out.”

About: Hello! My name is Kelley and I have lots of furry children. I have four Siberian Huskies and they make life fun and adventurous! I have experience working with cats and dogs of all sizes and behaviors. I also have experience caring for rabbits as I have my own. Growing up I volunteered at the VCA Adoption center where we took care of the animals looking for homes and spent a few years of my adult life volunteering and running a rescue. I absolutely love animals and treat all exactly as I would want someone to treat my own. 😁 I am available most evenings after 4PM or anytime on Thursdays. I try to be as flexible as I can for last minute bookings to assist in any way I can. My entire front yard is fenced in with 6ft chain link fencing. It has a mini agility course as a fun activity for the dogs. I also have extra crates and can crate if/when needed. If I am coming to your home I will treat it and your pets with love and respect.

“We enjoyed working with Hunter and our doodle Boone seems to have enjoyed his day with her. She has a great, fenced-in yard and front porch to hang out on. Boone enjoyed playing with her two sweet pups.”

“Great communication and great with my dog. Thank you!”

About: I’ve had multiple dogs since I was a kid, so caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds—from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing a little extra care. I’m comfortable with everything from feeding, walking, grooming, and bathing to administering medications or calming nervous pets. I truly enjoy building bonds with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m currently working as a full time student just doing this on the side so I’m always at home unless I’m getting groceries or little other stuff. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or my client’s, safety and comfort always come first. I make sure the environment is clean, pet-proofed, and stress-free, with plenty of space to relax and play. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding schedules, medications, walk times, and any special instructions—to keep things consistent and familiar. In my own home, pets are treated like family. I provide a calm, cozy space with plenty of love, supervision, and enrichment. If I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space, maintain their pet’s normal routine, and keep communication open so they always feel informed and reassured. Above all, I build trust through reliability, attentiveness, and genuine care—because I know pets are more than animals; they’re family.

About: I love animals! I was raised around animals all of my life. My parents had a hobby farm, complete with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, cows, emu's, sheep, ducks, pigs, etc. We bred and raised dogs of all kinds: huskies, dalmatians, chihuahuas, beagles, labs, golden retrievers, pugs, and so on. Since my childhood, I've helped feed, care for, and even administer medicine to our animals. I moved to Lexington KY in the Fall of 2010 and decided to take care of others' furry friends while they're away. I started and ran my own dog walking and pet sitting business for 7 years. I ended up closing down to do some traveling. But I sure miss getting out and spending time with my furry friends. Whether you're at work, on vacation, or just out for the day, it will be my Joy to take care of your pets. From midday walks and home visits, to puppy breaks and house sittings, I'll treat your pet as my own, and make sure they get plenty of lovin'. “Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.” That’s what I try to live by. And I’ll bring that ethos with me everyday to Caring for your seeet fur baby or babies.

About: I currently do not have any pets, but have had multiple throughout the years. I am excited to gain more experience and to take care of pups or cats. I currently work as a remote event planning intern, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with pups! I have free time throughout the day and evenings, while being home for work! I can do whatever you feel comfortable with when caring for your pet. I have a fenced yard and can take them on walks or can crate, if needed.

Joy H.
“Honestly I was a little unsure about even ever having a dog walker walk my sweet baby because for one I didn’t know if they were going to take care of her or do with they said that they would do. Or the possibility of losing my baby always crossed my mind but I knew that my beagle needed to be taken care of while I spent time at work for eight hours. so I hired joyful Pawz. Right away I started noticing that my dog had more energy was so excited to see Joy And her Snapchat videos that she sent me of my baby while I was at work Joy always stayed super involved if anything seems out of place or seemed wrong. Joy would send me pics of my Molly letting me know that she’s OK throughout the day while I’m at work and that Joy really does what she says she’s going to do she’s a woman of her word. Absolute best service, she is extremely thorough and over the top with excellent service! Thank you joyful Pawz I miss you every day!!!”
