About: I was raised caring for all types of animals, but I have a particular love for dogs and cats! Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with their pets for over 10 years of my life. My experience includes feeding, administering medications, walking, playtime, and overnight care. As an adult, I've cared for my own dogs for the past 5+ years and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone dependable who will love and care them as much as you do! My schedule is very flexible this summer, allowing me to give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. I'm available for boarding, drop-ins, and walks during both weekdays and weekends. I am happy to adapt to each pet's usual routine and needs! My husband and I have a large fence yard and a home with plenty of space for pets to feel comfortable. We also have a friendly male collie/retriever mix who enjoys playing, but he can be easily separated if your dog prefers their own space. I'm comfortable using crates or separate rooms as needed, and I'm happy to arrange a meet-and-greet with my dog to help ensure everyone feels safe and relaxed. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to keep their normal environment and routines consistent to reduce stress. I'm respectful of your home and able to follow detailed instructions. I'm also happy to send updates and photos so you can feel connected while away. Whether in my home or yours, my goal is to provide a clean and loving environment that feels as close to home as possible for every pet in my care.

My shifts range from 4 hours- 5 1/2 hours. So that is the longest I would be gone at one time during the day. I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home. “We were nervous about leaving our 6 month old puppy for the first time since he joined our family. As a matter of fact nobody other than a family member had ever kept our first 2 pets except a family member. Amy made us very comfortable with her personality and enthusiasm for Jack as soon as we met her. She is loving and conscientious of her work. We got plenty of updates and photos which were so reassuring. Amy handled any issues without having to call us on. . We know our little Jack misses his Aunt Amy but he will see her again as soon as we plan our next weekend trip.”

I currently have a Yorkie and Pomeranian named Benji and Cali. I have some experience with big dogs since I used to work at a boarding facility. My experience with them is that they need lots of exercise and some down time. Your fur baby will be safe with me. We will go on long walks, play fetch, or simply just chill. Ami took great care of my babies and sent me updates throughout her stay at our home with them. I would have her watch them again and again if the need arises she is absolutely fantastic and very sweet! She went above and beyond while she stayed and my house was exactly as we left it. Ami was even kind enough to bring in our trash bins once trash was picked up.
