About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, spiders and rodents. I love cuddle time with all animals and would love the chance to meet more animal friends. I work from home and my hours are fairly flexible, I would be avaliable with very little notice as long as there was some flexibility in arrival and departure time. I have a fenced yard and work from home so I would be avaliable to keep your pets company all day. My husband also loves animals and spoils our dog Bailey. She has her own room so she could keep a pet company or stay in her own room depending on your pets and her preferences.
“Kyler & Hannah were amazing. Not only did they go out of their way to keep our dogs happy and relaxed, but they actually managed to make it as though us being gone on our trip : was not a big deal. Our dogs looked loved and happy, and my biggest dog ( who's TERRIFIED of men ) immediately latched on to Kyler. My smallest, the cuddlebug, was addicted to being held by Hannah - she looked like she never wanted to leave honestly. This was our first time leaving, but now I know that it doesn't have to be our last. We're still allowed to go out on those long work trips, knowing that we'll come back to loved and safe animals. I am BEYOND grateful for these two, and I would stake my claim that you all will be too. Just make sure you don't take all their spaces, so that I can still book them in the future haha !!”

“Madison and Josh were amazing! They sent us regular and detailed updates which I looked forward to every day. We will definitely be booking with them again in the future!”

“Paige was fantastic with my dog and new pup! She took great care of them and gave them both lots of love and care! Would 10/10 recommend her to house sit anytime! She was great with the boys and made sure the new pup went out in a timely manner each time he ate! Will definitely be booing her again to dog sit!”

“Mackenzie was great! She sent us daily photo updates on our boys during our trip and we knew they were in good hands. We will definitely be using her any time we go out of town!”
“Mickale did an excellent job looking after Nala while my wife and I were on an extended trip in Italy. She was extremely communicative and helpful. Having her took a lot of stress about travel away. Would highly recommend and would book with her again!”

“Melissa was great! She stayed with our girls for about a week. She sent us plenty of great pictures and updates! Very fast to respond to any messages as well! She took great care of the house & brought in a package as well. She also offered to take care of our fish! Thanks so much!”

“Our pets had a blast with Martha during our holiday trip! Martha was very responsive, accommodating, and attention-driven. At one point, we had an unexpected issue with our automatic litter robot, but Martha was quick and capable of helping us out. She’s very patient with our senior chihuahua who requires a little bit of help. She provided plenty of pictures and updates along the way! Overall, would highly recommend booking Martha, she is a great pet sitter. :)”

My experience with them is that they need lots of exercise and some down time. Your fur baby will be safe with me. We will go on long walks, play fetch, or simply just chill. Im also comfortable with cats. I am a cat owner and had one when I was younger. I have a flexible schedule so if I sound right for you and your fur baby let me know. (:

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover and have had pets since I was a toddler. I currently have three cats of my own who definitely run the house, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, routines, and quirky behaviors. I also regularly help care for my mom’s dog, Petey, so I stay very familiar with day to day dog care like walks, feeding, attention, and reading different dog personalities. In the past, I’ve also had dogs of my own, including a beloved senior dog who lived to an old age. Caring for her taught me a lot about patience, routine, and understanding the needs of older pets. I truly enjoy caring for dogs and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs of all personalities. From friendly and playful to shy or more “spicy.” I’m calm, patient, and always take the time to let pets warm up at their own pace. I also have experience administering medications, including ear washes and oral medications, so I’m comfortable helping with basic care routines if needed. For dogs, I enjoy walks, playtime, and keeping their routine consistent. For cats, I understand the importance of trust, space, and gentle, low-stress care. My goal is always to treat every pet like my own and give you peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾❤️ As a stay at home mom of one child, I have a very flexible schedule which allows me to provide consistent and reliable pet care throughout the week, into the weekend. I’m able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits depending on your pet’s needs. Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily routine since I already manage a household and care for pets of my own. I’m organized, dependable, and make sure each visit is given my full attention and care. I care for every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. In a client’s home, I respect all instructions carefully and make sure pets stay in their normal environment with as little stress as possible. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and exercise routines as requested. I take my time to be sure pets feel comfortable with me, especially shy or anxious pets, and I never rush interactions. I also keep a close eye on doors, gates, and safety concerns to ensure pets remain secure at all times. My goal is to provide reliable, calm care and give pet parents peace of mind while they’re away.
“I entrusted Ami with my fur babies while my husband and I went out of town for a few days and she was wonderful!! Ami took great care of my babies and sent me updates throughout her stay at our home with them. I would have her watch them again and again if the need arises she is absolutely fantastic and very sweet! She went above and beyond while she stayed and my house was exactly as we left it. Ami was even kind enough to bring in our trash bins once trash was picked up. Thank you again Ami I know I left them in good hands and it made my time away so much less stressful knowing they had you to keep them company 😊”

“I was extremely pleased with the service Kelly provided our 4 babies! She had great communication and we felt such ease when she let us know she had made it. We will certainly be using her services again. Thank you!”
“Jaymes watched my dog and home on such short notice (like, less than 12 hrs) and did a stellar job communicating, providing updates, and in general helping me know she was in the best care. Thank you Jaymes!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Nesbit walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Nesbit maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nesbit choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Nesbit. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
