“Samantha was great with Bailey! Would definitely book her again!”

“Carmen was extremely patient with my senior cat. She was quick to reach out when he developed something with one eye. It didn't require immediate care, but I appreciated knowing about it. I received pictures daily that really helped me know how he was doing. I definitely recommend Carmen to care for your pet(s).”

About: Hey hey! My name's Victoria, but friends call me Rev. I moved here a couple of years ago now from Georgia, began pet sitting in April 2024, and it's currently my full-time job! I've been fascinated with animals since a young age, with about ~17 years of experience, mainly with cats. As I've gotten older, I've fallen in love with the human-animal bond, and have become passionate about their care and respecting each one the way they deserve. Regardless of your pet's personality, preferences, or needs, I'm excited to meet, care, and accommodate your little darling with the same love as you would! I hope to hear from you soon 😊! As this is my full-time job, I'm capable of prioritizing my schedule to work for you and your sweetheart(s). I'm always sure to communicate if something may come up during your booking, such as other gigs or obligations outside of work, that way there's total clarity on where and when I'll be in relation to your pet(s). If you're not sure, please feel welcome to ask! If I can fit them into my schedule, even on short-notice or alongside another sweetie, I'm more than happy to see what I can do. I've got the kind of guest attitude you can expect from a typical Southerner! I take the care of another's space very seriously, doing my best to leave things as I found them, and due to a background in housekeeping it's not uncommon for me to do some cleaning before I leave. You can trust to come back to your home just as you left it, if not with less dust than before!

“Molly is a gentle soul and has taken great care of our scaredy cats, sending pictures of them at each visit. We will definitely hire her again.”

About: I've helped care for my previous roommate's 60 lb dog for 6 years while living together. This included letting him outside, taking him on walks, feeding him, and giving him medication when needed. I've also watched and cared for several other friends' dogs and cats while they were away. I'm currently working part-time and will have most of the summer off, so my schedule is relatively flexible at the moment. Happy to chat more about it! I will respect and oblige by any rules or boundaries set forth for your pets and within your home. Happy to accommodate and meet you where you're at!

“Sarah always takes such good care of my girls and I appreciate her so much! This is my first time having Sara sit for me and she’s been wonderful every time.”

“Karissa was very attentive and detailed in her reports. Super friendly and responsive as well.”

About: I’ve had my amazing dog Nalu for almost 5 years and have also been a dog walker for people in my life and neighborhood for multiple years. I love all animals, especially dogs! I am a college student home for the summer and I have a lot of free time when I’m not working so dog walking fits perfectly into my routine! I love being around dogs and I love being outside and walking so it works out perfectly. My dog is pretty well trained so when we go outside she doesn’t need a leash. I leash her when we walk on the roads or in mandatory areas. I am comfortable with dealing with new dogs and new personalities.

“James was an excellent caregiver for my cat. He came over early to see the house and meet Finbar, sent nice updates and pictures. I would be happy to use his services again.”

“Emily took care of our cat like she was her own while we were out of town. She was incredibly responsive, gave us regular updates, and went above and beyond to make sure our cat was happy. It gave us such peace of mind knowing she was in such loving and capable hands. We came home to a very happy cat—and a spotless home. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely caring.”

About: I have been around dogs all of my life. Growing up in the Hudson Valley, we had two dogs: an American Pit Bull Terrier and an APBT Staffie mix. They were the most athletic and lovey dogs! They completed a five mile hike that has a fairly long and vertical scramble section at 14 years old! In their senior years, they had medical issues so I am experienced with med management and adopting activities to their capabilities. Currently, my fiance and I have a half APBT, half Siberian Husky dog. He is the best! We adopted him from a family that kept him in his crate for so long that he bit off a large portion of the hair on his tail. He was reactive in the beginning, lunging at cars on the road and barking and lunging at dogs on walks. I used Spirit Dog Training’s reactivity course and my education in behavioral psychology and research to fix these issues. He no longer does either things and his hair has grown back in spades! We keep him busy by training him (tricks) and mentally stimulated with sniff walks and games like find it, as well as off leash time, hikes, runs, etc. We love hiking with Oto: he recently completed numerous hikes in Acadia National Park and has done Camel’s Hump in VT and Mt. Osceola in NH: he plans on completing the NH 48! In general, I love being outside and active: hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, running, kayaking, rock climbing and going to the gym. I love all dogs, but have a particular drive to keep working dogs happy and healthy! German Shepherds, Border Collies, Huskies, Cattle Dogs, Anatolian Shepherds: it is amazing what they can do and how they have served our communities in numerous roles for decades. I have spent a lot of time with my sister’s German Shepherd and half GSD half Anatolian dogs. I also volunteered at a therapeutic horseback riding center and rode horseback for several years; I find being around horses to be great training for how to interact with, and train, dogs. They are so big that they don’t HAVE to listen to you. Maintaining confidence (even if you don’t feel like it) and a steady hand go a long way, as well as keeping aware of their body language and behaviors. They are very sensitive creatures. In the Fall, I am starting my graduate program in clinical social work and have indicated my availability on my calendar. In general, during the Fall and Spring semesters, I will be conducting my practicum on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week, so am only unavailable on those days. Please share your dog's behaviors and needs with me before scheduling walks. If your dog is reactive (barks at dogs on walks or lunges) please let me know and I can adjust the walking route and make sure to give other dogs plenty of space. Let me know what their usual distance on walks is, as I can try to adjust my pace accordingly. I have a lot of experience with this (decades). If you have treats for your dog, I can take them out with me if needed.

“Cressida was terrific and I highly recommend her! My three cats loved her and well cared for by her over the course of five days while we were away. She was responsive, communicative, shared photos of the kitties every day, and follow all of the instructions that I had shared with her during an in person introduction ahead of our vacation. We will definitely hire her again for help when we are out of town!”

“Absolutely Amazing! Tanya took care of our cat while we went to Spain for Christmas and New Years. She is extremely responsible, trust-worthy and really good at communicating! She even took out our trash for us! Would totally recommend to anyone. Thank you, Tanya✨?️”

Victoria B.Star Sitter
“Victoria has cared for my energetic 6-year-old Maltese, Happy, in my home several times over the past couple months (2 to 8 hours each time, about 40 hours total). I highly recommend Victoria as a pet caregiver because she is trustworthy and reliable, empathetic, and experienced with caring for pets. The first time she sat for Happy, she listened carefully to understand his routine, and I felt assured she would take good care of him. She's always on time and was conscientious about taking him out for potty breaks and walks. Most of all, she is loving and genuinely cares about animals - she paid close attention to Happy and quickly got to know some of his adorable and quirky behaviors. And Happy is overjoyed whenever she comes over to sit, which probably says it all.”

“Ali is my fiancée, and I’ve seen firsthand how exceptional she is with dogs. Shortly before I left for deployment, we welcomed a 1½-year-old Husky/Pitbull mix named Oto into our lives. At the time, Oto was reactive toward people, cars, and other dogs. But when I returned, I was amazed at his transformation. Oto was off-leash trained, calmly ignored distractions, and now waits for a command before approaching other dogs at the park. What impressed me most was how Ali achieved this change, not through force, but through trust, patience, and consistent positive reinforcement. I used to believe that firmness and discipline were the key to dog training, but Ali helped me see that, like people, dogs respond best when you build a bond and reward the behavior you want to see. Ali has a degree in psychology from Wesleyan, and she applies her academic knowledge thoughtfully to her dog training approach. She’s also helped train her sister’s three German Shepherd mixes to be more manageable on leash, and she’s worked with several neighborhood dogs to reduce anxiety and improve behavior. We’re frequently stopped on walks by fellow dog owners asking for her advice! Beyond training, Ali is incredibly active and loves spending time outdoors with Oto and other pets. She has a knack for discovering fun new places to explore and makes sure every dog in her care gets the physical and mental stimulation it needs. Ali is not only knowledgeable and experienced, she’s genuinely passionate about the well-being of every dog she meets. I’m constantly impressed by her ability to adapt her methods to suit each dog’s unique personality and needs. Your pet will be in excellent hands with her.”
