“Great to work with Gwen! She met our pup a few days beforehand and got to know the schedule and location of things. Our dog was able to get comfortable with her, too!”

“Kristie took great care of our cat - we came home to a friendly loving feline. Kristie even braved a snowstorm to take care of her and was kind enough to leave the light on for us as we were arriving home late. Details make all the difference. Highly recommend her”

“Emma was amazing, came over prior to our last minute weekend trip for the holiday, met our pets, saw where everything was, and then took great care of them while we were gone -- checking in with me at each stop in. It was so appreciated!!”

“Working with Sam was a great experience from start to finish! She was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and kept me informed about how my pups did during my time away. She interacted well with my pets and had no problem providing them medication. She had excellent communication, quality service, and gentle care. I highly recommend Sam anyone needing help caring for their pets!!”

“Lexi is thorough and was great with Bruce who is an elder - 16 year old Vizla/Shepherd mix. I appreciated her timeliness. Bruce was comfortable with her and wasn’t anxious in any way when I returned home. I will definitely try to use Lexi again! Thank you!”

“Hannah was phenomenal! Our original sitter called out less than a week before a 10 day trip, and we needed someone twice a day for our cat who needs insulin. She took wonderful care insuring Luna ate before her insulin dose, played with Arya, and provided wonderful photos and even videos while we were away. Hannah was willing to water our vegetables and take the trash out as well. She went above and beyond cleaning things up (cats threw up and peed outside the litterbox too!) and keeping everything tidy. We could not be more pleased and look forward to working with her again. Truly, a great professional sitter. Thanks so much Hannah!”

“Margaret is a wonderful pet sitter! She is very caring, reliable, compassionate and flexible. Margaret is our only and first pet sitter and I am so grateful for her. She is our official pet sitter and I am sure our kittens Bella and Beau will not have it any other way!”

About: I have owned dogs for about 8 years now and have had family and friends ask me to pet sit for them for vacations or last-minute cancellations of other sitters. I truly love animals and would do anything to make my dogs the happiest dogs in the world. I would absolutely do the same for yours! I recently graduated from college and am excited to fill my time doing something I truly enjoy—caring for dogs! Since I’m currently not in school, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize your pet’s needs and tailor my days around their care. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I have plenty of time and energy to dedicate to making sure your pet feels happy and loved. I have five dogs at one of my homes, and each one has their own unique personality and care routine. Some are super playful and need lots of exercise, while others are more laid-back and just want a cozy spot to nap. I’m used to managing different feeding schedules, handling dogs who pull on the leash, and making sure everyone gets the attention they need. Whether it’s in my home or yours, I’m comfortable adapting to whatever routine works best for your pet.

“Tammy was wonderful with my 2 dogs! They took to her instantly at the meet and greet and I could tell during her stay that they were comfortable and happy. She kept me updated with pictures and was great at communicating little things with me. I’m new to the area and I’m so glad I found someone I can trust. I highly recommend her!”

About: Hi there, my name is Doug and my wife Sarah and I have been Rover hosts since 2017. Prior to this I worked as a dog trainer in the Upper Peninsula preparing sled dogs for the Iditarod. Our family dog is a yellow Lab, named Maverick. Maverick is neutered, and although a food opportunist he has been a great Rover ambassador, welcoming many different dogs over the years into our home. He is usually excited at first with meeting new dogs but settles pretty quickly. He tends to match the energy of the other dog. I work from home now and my wife works as a Registered Nurse. Our kids are young but have quickly learned to help welcome Rover dogs and love to care for them just as we do with Maverick. We strive to make your dog as comfortable as possible during their stay. We do request meet and greets for new clients to ensure your dog will be a good fit and also so you can see where they will be staying and ask any questions in person. We only take one client at a time. If you typically crate your dog while you are out of the house, we ask that you bring their crate for their stay. The house we live in does not have a fence so we will have your dog on a leash at all times while outside. Our dog Maverick is on an electric fence with a collar. We have a great neighborhood for daily walks. Feel free to let us know what activity level your dog is used to as our goal is to match it with number or length of walks during their stay. I work remotely in home M-F and have off on weekends. Your dog is always taken out first thing in the morning. I like to take a walk during my lunch break, as long as the temperature is good your dog will join me. He/She will also get an afternoon bathroom break. Will also go for an evening walk, an hour or so after dinner. We crate Maverick when we are away and would ask you bring a crate if your dog does the same. We welcome dogs who roam free and ultimately seek to provide a similar routine and environment to what your dog has at home.

About: I have 4 dogs, 3 beagles and a mutt, and two holland lop rabbits. I love pets and am really good with all animals. I’ve potty trained 3 rabbits and can train most dogs how to roll over. Pet care is an important and natural part of my daily routine. With four dogs and two rabbits, I’ve developed a consistent schedule that balances their needs with my own responsibilities. Every morning starts with feeding all of them and making sure they have clean water and a comfortable environment. I take the dogs out for bathroom breaks and walks, giving them time to exercise and burn off energy. Throughout the day, I check in on the rabbits to tidy their enclosures, give them fresh hay and veggies, and spend time socializing with them. In the evening, I make sure everyone is fed again, let the dogs out one last time, and do a quick sweep to ensure everything is clean and calm for the night. Taking care of my pets has taught me how to stay organized, be attentive, and keep a steady routine. I can do the same for your pets.

About: I graduated from Rutgers University with an Animal Science degree and currently I am working as a veterinary nurse assistant at an emergency hospital. I pride myself in taking care of each of your own animal as my own. I understand the signs when your pet is in distress, health seems unusual, and the basic needs for their exercise and mental health. I will help you along the way for anything that your pet need: giving their medication, having the amount of exercise needed, or maybe just company. I am a dog mom of two miniature schnauzers who are my babies (Nina & Stormi). I been working in the veterinary field for the past 4 years and have a lot of experience with dogs and cats, including mice & rats. I will make sure that your pet gets all the stimulation necessary at your home. I will make sure to send pictures so you can see your furry friends while you’re at away from them.

About: Long term dog owner here! My family and I currently have 3 large dogs and I couldn’t imagine life another way, pets truly are members of the family. I have 10 years of dog ownership experience and about 6 years in pet sitting for others. I’ve watched senior dogs with special medical needs, to puppies who need some extra training and potty breaks. I also have experience with cats, bunnies, and birds! I truly love animals and giving people the peace of mind knowing their pets are well looked after whenever they have to leave them. I work part time for a small business that I run. Meaning I can make my own schedule to fit around the needs of any animal I have under my care! I have about 6 years experience in housesitting for other families. I’m very confident I can keep whatever routine you have set to make the time as stress free and familiar as possible for your pet!

Kacey B.
“I’m so excited to write this recommendation for my sister, Kacey, as a pet sitter! As someone who knows her deeply—and has seen her dedication to animals firsthand—I can confidently say that she would provide the most compassionate, attentive, and knowledgeable care for any pet. Kacey isn’t just an animal lover; she’s pursuing a career in veterinary medicine and has hands-on experience in the field. She’s worked and interned in various veterinary settings, assisting with everything from routine checkups to medical treatments, and she's always gone above and beyond to ensure the comfort and well-being of the animals under her care. Her calm demeanor, patience, and attention to detail are just a few of the traits that make her so exceptional in this work. Beyond her professional experience, what truly sets Kacey apart is her heart. She treats every animal like family and understands that pet sitting is more than just feeding or walking—it’s about making sure pets feel safe, loved, and at ease while their owners are away. I’ve watched her care for dogs, cats, reptiles, and more with so much genuine joy and commitment. If you’re looking for someone reliable, respectful, and truly passionate about animals, you won’t find anyone better than Kacey. She’s not only incredibly capable—she’s preparing to become a veterinarian because she wants to spend her life improving the health and happiness of animals.”
