About: I have pet sit dogs and cats many times for my family. Pets have always been a part of my family, mostly dogs and also sometimes cats. Also at one point an aquarium of fish. Currently I do not have any pets of my own because they are not allowed in the rental lease. I also know of some of the natural area trails and parks in the nearby area that would be good to take dogs for a walk at. My current schedule for pet care can be fit to a wide range of times most days. Other current work activities are mainly involving the start of a small farm type business and volunteer work. I make sure that safety is always a priority and taken into account, one of the main areas of focus being to keep any doors monitored and closed so that a pet does not go outside by accident. Also keeping awareness of any food or other objects in a client's home that a pet could get to by accident.

“Lou is great. He's flexible and is great with my big Malamute and Bernese. I work long shifts every once in a while and I have no doubt that they'll be fine while I'm at work when Lou comes over to take them for a walk.”

“Very reliable! Alisha always lets me know well in advance if she’s traveling and communicates very well. She’s great with all of my pets. My dog is one who has to warm up to people.”

About: I am a professional dog groomer and have been working with dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have senior care experience and experience with training puppies the basics. Being a pet groomer I’ve made pet care my career. Every morning before work I take my own pet for a small walk and to potty before breakfast. Most days your pet will come with me to work to hangout with me and other pets unless requested otherwise. Potty breaks will be given as needed. Dinner will be given around l 530pm at 630 we will go for a walk typically half a mile then come home for free play and to settle in for the night. I have a dog of my own named Goose that would love to keep your pet company if they are interested. We will go on a walk in the afternoon and have enrichment time. I can easily crate your dog if needed or go over any training you might be working on.

“Marissa helped out with some dog walking for me while I was away. She was excellent with my pup and flexible with my schedule and coordinated with my housesitter which was much appreciated. Recommended!”

About: Since my first job pet-sitting dogs at 9, I've loved caring for and hanging out with animals. I've worked with animals of all ages, sizes, and species, including litters of husky puppies, guinea pigs, and full-sized pigs. The internship I'm currently working is part-time, so my schedule has a lot of flexibility. I am free Friday through Mondays as well as Tuesday-Thursday after 4pm. I'm available and happy to care for your pet in whatever capacity is most helpful, whether that be bathroom breaks, walking, or house-sitting. My only limitation is boarding, as my apartment is pet-free.

About: Hi! I’ve been pet sitting and had my own dog for many years. Now, I have experience from drop-in visits to extended overnight stays, with many different types of needs. I’m dedicated to caring for a pet the same way their owner would and look forward to spending time with animals. I work from home most days and can accommodate a flexible potty schedule and activity level. I enjoy taking breaks to spend with pets, to get outside or tuck in on the sofa! I have an enclosed garden and large, unfenced yard. We are well back from the main road so pets are welcome to explore the neighborhood.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes since I was in 5th grade and had a rescue of my own. I have been a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs For The Blind since 2021 and have raised 3-4 puppies. I am an animal science enthusiast and love getting to know each animal. I have experience with dog training and socializing, medication administration, dog walking (any breed), animal handling and much more. I would love to work with you and your pets to make your Rover experience as smooth and good as possible. I am currently a college student and hope to become a dog trainer or something like that someday. I will have plenty of time to work with you and make your pet’s experience with great. I am willing to work with you on scheduling however needed. I am a very observant person and good at seeing how an animal is feeling and how to handle their preferences. I will keep your house and whatever I use clean and in as good of shape as I found it or better.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born. Whether it was the family dog or one of my own, they've always been a part of my world. Numerous friends have asked me to dog sit for them, or even provide kitty playtime when they are out of town. I have experience with senior dogs and animals that require medication or special needs. Every pet is different, and I am committed to making sure they each receive the specific love and care they deserve. I currently work full time as an assistant manager of a local hotel, but will be providing pet care on my days off which are Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as after work which usually ends around 6pm. Safety is a high priority when it comes to our loved ones. When I am around dogs and cats, I am always reading body language and taking my cues from them. I believe in making sure every adventure we go on together is safe and controlled. I am attentive, professional, and flexible if the situation calls for it.

“Allison was great with our dogs. She was on time, communicated well and the dogs seemed to enjoy the time she spent with them. We would definitely have her help care for our dogs again in the future.”

About: I have experience caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and personalities! I have been caring for a wide range of pets since I was young. I have an older dog with many quirks and particular needs so I understand how important it is to meet your dog's needs as an individual. Currently, I am a recent college grad looking to fill out my summer and make some extra cash. Outside of typical dog/cat experience, I also have experience with farm animals such as alpacas, llamas, sheep, goats, and more. I am also experienced with positive reinforcement training and bird handling. As a recent college grad, I am spending this summer working part-time, along with doing pet care when I can. Overall, my schedule is pretty flexible! Your pet's safety is ALWAYS a priority. To create a safe and trustworthy environment for your animals I will listen to you closely about your pet's past and behavior. As someone with zoo/farm experience, I understand the importance of always being aware and attentive to both your pet's behavior and my own. Bonding and building a relationship with your pet so they feel secure and comfortable with me is another top priority!

“Colby did great with our Basset Hound, Muffin. They both seemed to enjoy each other immediately. They went for a nice walk, and Muffin offered Colby many kisses afterwards as a thank you. Colby seemed to handle Muffin's little antics quite well, and they parted as new friends. Thank you, Colby!”

About: I am currently employed at a veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant and in my free time I volunteer at the Humane Society of Chittenden County. For 2 years prior I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility. While working in these establishments I have the responsibility of feeding, providing medications, bathing, doing minor training, and facilitating playtime. I have been working in the pet industry for more than 2 years and before being fully employed I would pet sit, dog walk, and provide pet care for the pets of neighbors and friends. I am currently working full time and am a student but I can provide care on the weekdays mornings before 8:30 am and afternoons after 2 pm. On the weekends I am available to provide more intensive and frequent care. While in my care I will follow any and all instructions provided to me by owners as well as utilize my training in pet care to ensure the safety and enjoyment of any pet in my care.

“The sweetest family! Hannah was so patience with my Indy - she could read him so well, very knowledgeable on dog behavior. I joined the first walk to see how Indy would do with her 2 beautiful and sweet pups, because he can be reactive at first but Hannah quickly assessed the situation, guiding her dogs throughout the walk to where Indy was comfortable. I can’t express enough how lucky we feel to have met her family!!”

About: I've taken care of animals my entire life. We currently have a dog, cat, bearded dragon and two frogs. Our animals are part of the family and are treated that way. I currently provide walking services for another family in our community. At this time I am available daytime and early evening care. I can visit, feed and walk or play with your dog or cat. If you have a dog, I might bring Rocco along for a walk once I get to know them. Also, day and overnight care may be available once I get to know your animal. For now care is at your place where I can play and or take them for a walk on a leash. Depending on where you live, we could go for a drive too.
