“Melony took care of my cat for two days. She went above and beyond what I asked of her. My cat is extremely friendly and loves people. She spent the whole time playing with him and giving him love. She even cleaned up the litter he kicked out of the box which I had told her she didn’t have to do. Melony was wonderful, kind and caring.”

About: Hi, I’m Cory! I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have many years of hands on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I grew up with multiple dogs of my own and have also cared for many dogs and cats through Rover over the years. Although I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I do have a kitten named Callie who is very friendly and accustomed to the dogs that stay with us. Your dog does not need to be cat friendly to stay with me. If your dog doesn’t do well with cats, just let me know ahead of time so I can make arrangements to keep Callie safely separated and give your dog their own space. I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for your pet while you’re away. My goal is to make every dog in my care feel safe, comfortable, loved, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I’m attentive to each dog’s individual needs and am happy to follow specific feeding schedules, walking routines, sleeping arrangements, and other instructions you provide. I’m also experienced with administering medications, including oral medications and insulin injections, and I’m comfortable caring for dogs who require a little extra attention as part of their daily routine. I currently work at a middle school on weekdays until 1:45 PM. While I’m at work, my husband is home with our three children, so dogs staying with us are never left home alone during that time. Once I’m home, I’m available to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, cuddles, and companionship. We also have a fully fenced in yard, giving dogs plenty of space to safely get outside, stretch their legs, play, and enjoy some fresh air throughout the day. IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: Because this is a family home with children and I may care for dogs from more than one household, all dogs staying with me must be friendly and safe around children. Dogs must also be friendly with other dogs unless we have discussed and arranged a private stay in advance. If your dog is not dog friendly or you are unsure how they behave around other dogs, I may still be able to accommodate them ONLY when arranged with me ahead of time and I have no other dogs scheduled to board during their stay. Please contact me before booking so I can confirm whether I’m able to provide a private stay for your requested dates. Otherwise, dogs staying with me must be comfortable and safe around other dogs. For the safety of my family and every animal in my care, I ask that you be completely open with me about your dog’s personality, habits, medical needs, anxieties, triggers, and typical behavior. The more I know about your dog beforehand, the better I can make their stay comfortable, safe, and enjoyable. I know leaving your pet with someone else can be stressful, and I want you to feel confident knowing they’re being treated like part of the family while they’re here. You can depend on me to provide attentive, reliable, and loving care and to treat your pet as I would my own. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or tell me a little about your pet before booking. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! 🐾 I'm off from work during the summer and during the school year I work at a middle school until 1:45. While I’m gone, my family will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I will do anything to make your pup feel comfortable and at home away from home during his stay with me. I love detailed instructions so please feel free to let me know everything about your pet! I have a fenced in yard and 2 children who are huge dog lovers who would love to keep your dog(s) busy and keep them company!
“Donna took great care of my kitties! She kept me updated while I was away, especially relieving my concerns that my littlest one wouldn’t eat. She was prompt and made sure they got their treats - thanks Donna!”
About: Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a certified animal lover who wants to help keep your fur babies happy when life keeps you busy. I’ve owned dogs my whole life, from tiny chihuahuas to large mastiffs, I’m well versed with all sizes and breeds. I currently have a 2yo Pomeranian who loves playing, learning tricks, and meeting new friends. I also have a 1yo tuxedo cat who loves cuddles and catnip. You can depend on me to take great care of your pets. I can take them on walks, engage in play, keep them company and/or fill their bellies for mealtime. Please just let me know your pets specific needs and preferences and I’ll make sure they are comfy and happy! I just relocated and have a lot of free time to care and play with your fur babies! From the work week to the weekend, I’m available to walk, watch, feed, play, or entertain I have a friendly, playful Pomeranian who loves dogs over people. About: Hi. My name is Kiki and I love dogs!! I have years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I was a manager at a cage-free dog daycare for 5 years, where I handled everything from group play supervision to administering medications and managing daily care routines. I also volunteered for 3 years at Second Chance Dog Rescue, helping with socialization, walking, and basic training. In addition, I’ve provided trusted pet sitting services in Peekskill, NY for 5 years until the family relocated. I’m trained in pet CPR, comfortable administering all types of medications, and have a dog of my own—so I truly understand how important it is to find someone reliable and compassionate to care for your pets. I have a car, am highly dependable, and treat every animal as if they were my own. Although I work full-time and attend school, I have large daily time blocks available between commitments, which I dedicate to pet sitting, walking, and drop-in visits I care for every pet like my own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while following their regular routine, my skills are administering medications, and giving personalized attention. Every pet has a specific personality so I try to respect that much like people.
“Kelly was very reliable and resourceful. She followed our instructions to the letter, including the locking of the back deck slider--not easy to do. Our cats were content and even the skittish cat who avoids everyone, came out to say "Hi" to Kelly when she came in--that says so much. I would indeed recommend Kelly and Rover for cat and dog home services when you need to be away from home.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Myers Corner
Kailey was a great sitter for my two cats. Someone who’s was supposed to take care of my cats bailed out, so it was a last minute call to find a cat sitter. I remember contacting Kailey before but her schedule didn’t work for us. Thank God this time she was available and my instinct was not wrong. Kailey was sweet, responsible and kept the litter area clean. Kailey sent us the pictures daily and left daily notes. We are very happy with her and will definitely contact her in near future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
