“This is our first time using Ashley to let our dog out in the middle of the day. She is fantastic! Our dog is weary of strangers and Ashley handled the situation really well- she went at his pace and spent some extra time with him. She sent a lot of photos and a detailed description of her time with Rowan. I would definitely use her again!”

About: My lifelong love for animals began on our family farm, where I gained hands on experience caring for a variety of animals. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being a pet parent to horses, dogs, cats, and birds. I understand that every animal is unique and strive to meet them where they are, offering compassionate, personalized care. I’m employed full time in Higher Education, but work remotely as a regional recruiter. My schedule is flexible and allows me to be accessible at unique times during a traditional work week. I have 3 cats, all at different life stages. They are my absolute joys. Being able to work remotely and be attentive to their needs is a privilege that I’m forever grateful for.

About: I have approximately 3 years of pet experience. I worked in an animal boarding facility named Sunny Acres, working with various dog breeds, from tiny jack Russell, to the strong mastiffs and Cane Corso’s. I love them all!! Monday - Thursday is off limits. Friday, Im available during the day (from 2pm - 8pm). Saturday and Sunday are my days that I am completely open. Just give me a week in advance!! (I am also flexible for holidays). Depending on the age, and breed I am very enthusiastic about activities with pets. From hiking, to dog parks, to simply sitting at home and playing.

About: Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets short-term and for extended stays for years, and I’ve cared for multiple pets of my own over the years. I’m currently working full time remotely at home, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pets either at my home or in the comfort of yours! I have a fenced in yard, cameras, and a cat that is friendly and welcoming. She’d love to keep your fur babies company while visiting! In your home, I’m happy to follow any and all rules set to make you and your baby comfortable.

About: Hello! My name is kayla I have been working In animal care for 7 years I have worked closely with veterinarians, vet techs and animal care technicians to become the qualified animal care worker I am today. I have experience with dogs, cats and other farm/ exotic pets. I have cared for special needs, puppies, kittens and senior pets. I strive to give pets the love and attention they need. I always try my best to follow owner requests as I am here to make the experience as fun and comfortable as possible! I am self employed and my schedule is based on how many pets I have booked to care for and their feeding and care schedules. I care for pets in their own home just as their owner would like me to, I can provide walks, playtime, cuddle time feeding etc. I always ensure each pet is cared for as uniquely as they are!

About: I’ve had the joy to work with and own various types of animals throughout my life, from cats and dogs to exotics. I also have experience dealing with special needs and senior animals. I have worked in shelters and vet clinics; this experience gave me skills in administration of oral medication, working and managing multiple animals at once, identifying when an animal is feeling under the weather and understanding animal body language and cues. I completed multiple classes that allowed me to learn both hands on and through bookwork, to acquire my veterinary assisting certification. I have flexible availability all weekdays for drop ins, walks and doggy daycare. I am available for boarding weekdays and weekends. I may be away for a few hours daily, but someone will be home with your pet at all times. Care is tailored to you and your pet’s needs. When it comes to your fur-babies staying in my home, they will be kept separate from our animals, in their own space, which will provide a calmer and less stressful environment for your pet! I will require that each pet staying in my home have their own crate and any other personal things you would like to bring for them to make their stay as happy and comfortable as possible. If you have any special requirements or information that you would like to give me for your pet, I will happily accept and follow it. I understand and respect that every pet is different! All pets, whether boarding or doggy daycare, will get optimal amounts of supervised outside time. I have a large, fenced in back yard that is the perfect place for playtime! If you would prefer a leashed walk for your pet, there is a long, country road with tons of sights and smells for your pet to enjoy that we can walk together! After playtime, plenty of water and cuddles will be provided. They will have plenty of time outside of their crates to hang out with me and explore! If you would like a nail trim or a bath, just let me know before hand and I will be more than happy to do that for you. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

About: Loving owner of two beautiful and healthy dogs Sammy and Louis. Sammy is a miniature Australian shepherd (age 11) and Louis is a rescue pocket Pitbull (age 8). I have grown up in a household full of cats, dogs, Guinee pigs, ferrets, and hedgehogs so I am familiar with all sorts for four legged critters. I am looking for part-time work, and taking care of animals sounds like a dream job. My partner owns a dog walking service in our neighborhood in north Durham (Treyburn neighborhood). I have a wide open schedule at the moment, so if you're looking for a flexible care taker I'm your guy. I am available weekdays and weekends - morning, noon, night and overnight. I love and respect all of earths creatures, this goes double for our fur babies. I know we treat our dogs as if they were our own kin in our home. I will do the same for any pets I have the pleasure of meeting.

About: I have worked in the veterinary field for over 6 years in both the primary care and emergency care departments. Health and safety is my number one priority. I have worked with pets of all different shapes, sizes, and breeds so I am confident that I can care for your pets and handle any unique need to ensure the pet has a positive and welcoming experience. I am working full time as a veterinary technician so evening and weekends are my best availability for your pets care. I am also free for late night pet care needs. Following directions as accurately as possible is how I would care best for your pets. Every pet is unique and has certain needs and characteristics that the pet parent would know best.

I can leave and know that they are well loved and cared for. Before she had a family, she use to go and house sit for lots of different people in the area. She has always loved animals and so does her daughter Callie who is 8. So you actually get two for the price of one.”

“I have a wonderful pet sitter! My 10 year old black Lab and my 1 year old Golden Retriever get so excited when Taylor comes through the front door. They always greet her with jumps of joy and bringing her their favorite toy. It makes me so happy to know that they are so cared for when I travel out of town. I used to take my dogs to a kennel, but having Taylor keep my babies is so much better. They get long walks, good treats, and great snuggles on the couch. She also sends me pics of my babies when I am away. We are so blessed to have her as a sitter for our dogs!”

Spencer W.

“So professional and helpful!! Highly recommend! David really went above and beyond, taking JuneBug on a nice long walk down along the river, and including lots of photos of her smiling face.”

Morgan V.
“From the time Morgan was very little, she has been constantly surrounded by furry friends! Before she went off to college, she lived with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 3 rabbits, a tortoise and a sugar glider so she is well versed in the pet world! She is attentive to animals needs and has a soft spot for all those with 4 legs. I have not hesitated to leave our pets with her, always knowing they were in good hands! She is one of the most mature and responsible young adults that I know. I also know that her recent move away to school has her missing her pets back at home and would spend extra time loving on your pets when she is with them.”
