About: I’ve had two dogs in my lifetime each for 12 years and I’ve always loved to be around them and to make sure they were safe and felt happy. I treat each pet like family. My reliability, calm demeanor and love for animals make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I will walk the dog everyday and I can board dogs every weekend. I have experience taking care of a French bulldog named Randy. Sometimes I go there to take care of him and other times I bring him to my apartment. I have space in our apartment for the dog to roam around and I live in a safe dog friendly neighborhood in which we can take the dog for long walks near a park and a pond.

About: Hi! I would love to watch your pet and give them the best time of their life! We can take walks, run in the yard, and play anything from the toy bucket I work part time in the evenings, so message me about availability. If your pet is ok being alone for up to 6 hours, then it won't be an issue 😊 I have a cat that gets along very well with dogs My apartment has 2 rooms so I can keep your pet separate from my kitty if they have a hard time being together I also have a fenced in backyard, plus I live in a nice area with plenty of walking and leaves to play in and trees to mark 😊

“Maria is a great dog walker. My dog is always excited to see her and the two of them quickly established a routine. Maria is also easy to communicate with.”

About: Since the age of 7 years old I have always had a dog around my families home. Along with my family pet, I have experience taking care of dogs that range in age and size. I have experience with 6 month old puppies that need a lot of attention through 14 year old dogs that need medication given to them. Over the years, I have taken care of pets for my friends and family ranging from a day, a weekend, to a whole week. Having a dog of my own, I understand the difficulties of finding the right sitter as well as the importance of finding the right one. I am currently a Graduate student at the University of Rhode Island. For the summer, I am taking online asynchronous classes. Since my classes are asynchronous I am able to work my school schedule around my pet sitting schedule. With that being said, I still need a couple hours each day to devote to my school work. When it comes to someone else's home, I follow all the directions that are given to me. I am very versatile depending on the needs of the pet and owner. When it comes to walks, I always walk dogs with their leash and preferably a harness for long walks (but if they don't have one that is okay as well). If I bring the dog to my own home, I have a deck with a gate and a big backyard for playing.

About: I have the ability to reinforce basic commands like sit, stay, and recall during walks or sitting sessions. I have the ability to channel their boundless energy in a productive way, whether through play or structured exercise. I have a 11 year old pit bull which gives me experience with caring for a senior dog but understanding the slower pace, possible joint pain, or health issues that may require extra care. Being observant of subtle signs of discomfort, such as limping & notifying the owner if needed. Knowledge of how to administration oral medications & liquids. I am currently an entrepreneur which gives me more free time to provide the necessary care for your pet care. With such a flexible schedule I’m able to be available any day & anytime My two dogs are fenced it at home where they have a nice big yard to exercise & run around. I also take them on frequent walks especially the senior dog to be able to be more mobile on his legs.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since the age 5 when I was gifted my first pup. I love my dogs as if they were my children. I have 10yr old 80lb boxer mix and a 9mo poodle. I’m currently in school to be a certified life coach. My husband owns a cleaning business and I help him from time to time. I would like to fill in my days getting outside and caring for your fur babies. I can care for your dog at home as instructed. I also have a medium poodle that is fully vaccinated and in great health that I can bring along to play with your pup.

“Paige is great! 😊 like clockwork!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to mellow seniors. Most of my experience is with walks and drop-in visits, where I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m reliable, patient, and always treat pets like family. I’m a teacher on summer vacation, so my schedule is very open and flexible right now. I have plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, and giving pets the attention they need throughout the day I always follow your instructions closely to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their home. I’m respectful of your space and make sure your pet stays happy, secure, and well cared for.

About: Hey there! My name is Keri and I currently live on the UWS with my husband Chris. We recently moved to a two bedroom so more room for play space! We have two female Boston Terriers who are up to date on shots and spayed. They also go for regular check-ups with a family vet. Including our vet I also know someone who I have easy access to that work with animals so everyone is in safe hands! I don't work, so I will always be with the pups, unless errands are being ran. When I am not around pets are secure since we are all too familiar with "puppy proofing" for the pets safety and the safety of my furniture! =) While your pup stay with us we go for potty breaks during the day as needed and then after dinner we take a family walk to St. Nicholas' Dog run near City College. If your pup doesn't get along well with a certain breed, please advice me so I know in advance. Sleeping quarters can be whatever the pup chooses. If your pet has a preference please let us know.Otherwise there are two beds, couches, ect. Hope to hear from you soon! About this sitter: Fun loving animal enthusiast Why I love dog sitting I have always loved all animals. Ever since I was little I had everything from fish to gerbils to a bearded dragon. Then I was finally able to get a pup...since then I got one more and my parents even jumped on the Boston terrier bandwagon!

“Highly recommended! Amazing and responsible dog walker/sitter. You can feel comfortable and know it’s all covered with Kathleen! I will be requesting her again. And I highly recommend her.”

About: I have 15+ years experience with dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. I am very familiar with caring for special needs animals and I have knowledge of basic training skills. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and do whatever is needed for the sake of your fur babies. I’m a trained photographer and chef so expect lots of pictures and homemade treats! I have sudden free time in my schedule so I will have optimal time to spend with your pet. I’m available most days for sitting. Boarding at my residence is to be determined. I intend on making sure your pet is able to relieve themselves as well as get a certain amount of outside time a day as needed. I’ll make sure they get enough physical and mental enrichment. I like to make sure their food bowls and toys are clean as well as their personal areas … beds, blankets, crates, etc. Boarding with me will be determined on a meet and greet with my dog.

About: I love all animals and will take excellent care of your pet. I have 15+ years of professional experience, and a lifetime of experience with my own variety of pets. I’ve worked at Hi Tor Animal Shelter taking care of animals and helping with adoptions, as a veterinary assistant at VEG in Nanuet for a year, and All Creatures in Pomona as a CSR and assistant. I’m currently at the new Nyack Neighborhood Veterinary in Nyack. I’m also in school for animal nursing to become a licensed veterinary technician (LVT). I love to give all animals and pets compassionate, nurturing, and professional care and companionship. My available services include meals, bathroom breaks, walks, play-time, socialization, and also some medical attention as needed like vet visits, meds (oral, topical, ear/eye drops, injection), and grooming (baths, claws, etc). I also have some experience with training and can assist with managing certain behavioral issues. I'm able to handle any type of dog, any age, any size, most temperaments, and I can manage special-needs pets. Cats are also among my areas of expertise. I work with other animals as well, including reptiles (especially snakes), hamsters, birds, etc. I’m currently working part time as a veterinary assistant at Nyack Neighborhood Veterinary, and my schedule is flexible for other pet care needs. I have availability during some days, evenings, and weekends. *PLEASE READ RE: OVERNIGHT HOUSE SITTING: Rover does not currently allow users to specify available time frames for house sitting stays, so while I do have availability for some overnight pet/house sitting, it will usually be limited to a short duration, like 3-4 nights at a time, with the possibility for occasional exceptions (TBD). The open days that I have posted on my calendar are days that I can be available in general, and I’ll try to work something out to meet your needs if possible. I’ve posted a 1-day cancellation policy, but I would prefer 48 hours notice of cancellation for a commitment so that I have an opportunity to reallocate that time. The main thing is clear communication in advance so that dates, details, and expectations can all be sorted out. I always respect the personal space and privacy of homes where I’m watching pets. My goal is to stick to routines as much as possible, and to keep your pet feeling happy and healthy and loved.

“Casey is amazing!!!!! Everything you can image someone will do for your dog be happy and healthy it’s on her soul She is the best! Highly recommended Thank you Casey!!!!”

“Flower is an amazing person with a big heart, (especially when it comes to pets/animals) and an amazing pet lover, whenever I/we go away for a long period of time we take our cat to her. She alone has a cat and fostered a cat from someone who couldn't take care of it. When she was staying at a friend's who's indoor outdoor cat had baby's outside, she took them in, got the mother to take care of the baby's and took care of the baby's (checked their weight, help one that was constipated, help train them to use the litter boxe etc.) till they were old enough to go to their forever home”

Elizabeth B.
“Elizabeth has been a life saver for my family and our pets. She cares so deeply and goes the extra mile to make sure our pets are taken care of and assuring and updating us along the way when they are in her care. My dogs can be quite the handful; one being very skittish and the other being very particular and difficult, she quickly won them both over. Not to mention she cared for both of our rabbits in addition to the dogs. She is my go to whenever my family plans a vacation!!”

Keri C.

“Keri is nothing but loving with my two Bostons. My puppies lover her and her two puppies. I trust her completely and will continue to use her.”

Naomi J.
“If there's anyone in the world that I would trust my pet with, it would MOST DEFINITELY be Naomi! She's not only loving and caring for her and her client's pets, she is also loving and caring for wildlife. Her empathy and understanding when it comes to animals is second to none, and she showed this many times when caring for my beautiful pitty named Murray. Naomi is on time in all aspects of Murray's days, from getting to our house right on time, to feeding time done perfectly and in a timely manner (while also following the very specific feeding directions we had left for her), to walking him and playing with him whenever needed (and done with REAL love). Murray looks forward to every day that Naomi comes, and he now anticipates his days with her, always excited to see and smell her! Finding Naomi has been a blessing for our pets, and I highly, highly recommend her for any kind of pet care jobs!”

Stephanie R.Star Sitter
“Stephanie is a great. She never skimp on playtime or snuggling our 2 young toy poodles. Mostly we’re gone for just a weekend or a week but we have had Stephanie stay for 2 trips that were over a month long. She sent updates by text and we never worried what was happening at home. We always return to happy pups and a clean house.”
