About: In addition to having my own family dog, I grew up taking care of other family & neighbors’ pets. This included regular walks, feeding, and overnight care. I’ve now been doing Rover for the last 6 years, taking care of dozens of dogs and cats, most of which return for recurring care — from drops ins to daycare and week+ long overnight stays. I work from home full time, so I can spend time with and be available for pets throughout the entire day. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, pets are allowed to roam freely in a cozy, familiar home environment — no rows of kenneled dogs here! I’m very selective about the pets I accept. I usually only accept a maximum of 3-4 dogs at once. I meet every new pet before booking, and I usually won’t accept more than one new dog at a time, alongside repeat clients. This ensures that I’m familiar with how all the dogs will interact with each other, with only one new variable, thus avoiding potentially uncomfortable or dangerous situations for your pet. I’ve always loved animals, and with more than 15 years of pet care under my belt, I have the knowledge and experience to provide your pets with the best care possible. I take the responsibility of caring for your pets very seriously, and I’m certified by the American Red Cross in Cat and Dog First Aid. Earliest drop off or pickup is at 8 am. Latest drop off or pickup is at 8 pm on weekdays, 9 pm on weekends. I’m also available for drop-ins at your home, every day except Saturday mornings. (I’m available Saturday evenings instead.) For Dogs: I have a large, unfenced backyard that dogs love exploring on a 50-foot long leash - so many scents to sniff and chipmunks to chase! What you’ll need to send: Their regular food is the most important thing to send, as dogs can get upset stomach from sudden dietary changes. Bowls, beds, brushes, litter bags etc. are all unnecessary, as I have extras of all these supplies. For puppies, a crate may be necessary, depending on their level of potty training. For Cats: The cats have a comfy lounge downstairs, with food, water, litter boxes, and scratching posts. The dogs are not allowed downstairs, so the cats can get all the space they need from the dogs. The cats are free to move upstairs and downstairs as they prefer. All cats are indoors only. I have a lot of wide, accessible windowsills that they love chilling on to watch birds and squirrels outside, as well as battery-operated and automated toys that they can chase and play with on their own. What you’ll need to send: their regular food (wet and dry) and treats. Cat litter is also appreciated. I work from home, so my schedule is flexible and I’m home most of the day. I have a spacious home that can accommodate giving multiple animals space, and I can keep animals separated from each other if necessary. About: I've always been happiest when I am around furry friends. I have worked in a Veterinary Office in thr past for 5 years and have gained a vast amount of knowledge of all different types of dogs & cats and understand they all have their own individual needs. I am able to administer medicine, take on long walks, even more active ones if requested being that I am very active myself. And for my senior dogs I am aware some need to go out more, or help with stairs etc. Some even love to get into things and need to be looked over a little more!
