5. Skye-Ann H.

“Skye is the dog whisper and we LOVE HER! Our doggie Snickers had the best time with her. She gave multiple updates through the day and we used her a number of times while we were living in Hood River. Snickers would always RUN up when he saw her tail wagging and going crazy. We always felt like snickers was in great hands with her and honestly the best dog sitter we have ever used. Don't hesitate to book - shes the best!”

6. Rebecca C.

“Incredibly patient with my difficult dog. Constantly sent me photos and videos for updates. Also seemed to consistently get my dog out for long walks. Very professional sitter.”

9. Joules H.
About: Hi! I’ve been a lifelong dog lover with over 20 years of experience caring for my own dogs, and for the past three years, I’ve been dog-sitting for families in the area. I’m comfortable with pups of all sizes and personalities, and I always aim to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just some good company, I’d love to help care for your dog! I’m currently a college student in Hood River with a flexible schedule, and I’m looking to fill my days with something I love — caring for dogs! I’m mostly available during the week for check-ins and drop-in visits, and I’m happy to work around class times to make sure your pup gets the attention they need. While I’m also looking for part-time work, pet care is a priority for me, and I enjoy spending my free time with animals. I’d love to help keep your dog happy, safe, and loved while you’re away! When caring for pets at my home, I make sure they feel safe and comfortable right away. I have one friendly, medium-sized dog who loves the company of new friends! While I don’t have a fenced yard, I do have 20 acres of open space for dogs to explore, and I always use leashes for safety, especially until I’ve built trust and feel confident in their recall. My goal is to make every dog feel at home, with plenty of attention, playtime, and care. In my clients’ homes, I follow their usual routines closely to help keep pets relaxed and happy while you’re away!

10. Samantha L.

“Samantha was very kind and accommodating and in very short notice! She took great care of my elderly dog and went out of her way to put me at ease about being able to keep him separate from her dog if needed, since mine can be grumpy with young energetic dogs. But her dog Blue was very sweet too and she was able to fence the dogs off in separate rooms to make drop off and pick up less hectic. Would definitely book again if I lived in the area, but was only passing through. The only negative was that her house was a bit further than I expected which added some time to our travels.”

11. Prudence S.

“Prudence is very kind and welcoming and her dog Pierre is very sweet and playful. After we left her house from the meet and greet, I felt at ease to leave our pups with her. She’s super close to a park and has a nice closed in courtyard for the dogs to relax on a nice day. Communication was easy and she responded quickly. She was also very accommodating and flexible on time. She kept us updated on how they were doing throughout their stay and sent us pictures of daily walks and time relaxing or playing with toys. We couldn't have asked for better care for our two lab mixes. We will definitely be using Prudence in the future and highly recommend her!”

12. Natalie W.
“I have known Natalie since she was a teenager. She has always had dogs and cats and treats them like family because they are. She is very patient ,kind, compassionate, dependable and respectful. She has taken care of my pets many times for a complete week at one time ( 2 dogs, 3 cats, ducks). When I am away, I never have to worry because I know my pets are in good hands.”

13. Roseann D.

“For anyone looking for an amazing dog sitter, you can’t get any better than Roseann. I drive 2.5 hours out of my way from Salem Oregon every time I need someone to watch my mini Dachshund for a couple of days. She is both reliable and amazing with dogs. Cash just came back from his most recent four day stay as happy as always. Thanks again Roseann!”

14. Allie V.
“Allie is a fantastic person and amazing with dogs. I have a small pup named Pig and she has been my go to dog sitter at my house when I leave town, which is often. I’m grateful to have Allie available and highly recommend her to anyone in need of dog sitting!”

15. Jaleh K.
“Jaleh is a responsible and loving pet owner who knows how to direct the energies of both large and small breeds of dogs. She has more than 4 years experience owning a pit bull shelter saved dog named Porkchop. She brought him from Texas and helped him adjust to his new home which took determination and effort. You can rest assured that your pet will be well cared for!”

16. Emily C.
“Emily has watched my Corgi, Nami, many times and always takes the best care of her! I know that whenever I go on a work trip that I can trust her to walk Nami plenty of times a day and to play fetch or tug with her as well. Would certainly recommend her to everyone!!”

17. Steve H.

“Steve was kind, flexible with our changing plans, and took great care of Rooney for the Fourth of July! Rooney enjoyed exploring Steve’s fenced in backyard. I would definitely recommend Steve for any of your dog sitting needs.”

18. Beth P.

“Beth was the first caregiver I had since joining DogVacay. She made me feel comfortable leaving my 9 month old German Shepherd mix with her for a few days. When I returned to pick her up, Hazel was just as excited to see Beth as she was me, so I know she had a great time with her!! Would definitely recommend her to care for your pet.”

19. emmillie m.

“Emmillie took great care of Ollie while we were away. Ollie had a great time playing with her and her dog. He was tired all day when he came home. She shared photos and had very good communication before and during the stay. Highly recommend.”

20. Alex T.

“Alex is amazing! Our nervous pup did well with him and came home healthy and happy! I appreciated the pictures he sent to show us how she was doing. I would absolutely have him watch our dog again!”
