About: I grew up in a family that cared for dogs, cats, pigs, guinea hens, goats, rabbits, pigs, and even a peacock at one time! So, I have a lot of experience loving and caring for animals of all types. While I grew up with a range of animals and love them all dearly, I am currently available to watch dogs only, as my husband is allergic to cats. Please reach out if you have another type of animal that you think would do well in our household. Overall, my husband and I have experienced how nice it is to secure a professional connection with a dog-sitter that we know is caring for our pet at a level that we expect. We hope that we can be that for you and your dog! We are very professional and responsible humans that put the needs of our pet-children and other's pet children first, and look forward to helping you out in your time of need. I just started working from home this year, so am excited to be able to offer a stable environment for dogs that may need more supervision for extra potty breaks or medical needs. During the track and cross-country seasons, I head to the local high school for two hours/day to coach, but I am home the rest of the day to give lots of love and attention to your dog. We live in a comfortable condo in Hood River, so don't have a yard. We exercise doggos via walks/hikes/runs and excursions to the spit. We also have an energetic 4 year old dog who is very social and active. She grew up with a hound dog brother that passed away last year, so loves having a friend around. While she is a medium sized dog (25-30 lbs), she does well with friendly dogs of all sizes and loves being their little side-kick or wrestling partner. She responds well to a range of fellow-dog temperaments, leaving them alone when they ask or playing non-stop with them if they have some extra energy.
“Raenell was great! I really predicated regular updates during the stay and excellent communication leading up to the stay. My dog returned happy like he was on vacation 🙂. I would recommend Raenell to anyone.”

“Sierra had a great stay with Laura! She was warm and accommodating to last minute plans. Will definitely use her services if back in the area in the future. She was great about sending me updates and taking Sierra out for walks. Thanks!!!!”

About: I am offering a peaceful, loving home on a full acre just steps from the Westside Trail, where your pup will enjoy frequent walks and plenty of fresh air. Our spacious yard provides room to roam, sniff, and play safely. We share our home with Meow Meow, our smart and dog-savvy cat who genuinely enjoys having canine company. He’s happy to make new friends, but he’s also respectful and has private spaces if your pup prefers their own bubble. We’re also close to Indian Creek and Post Canyon trails, giving us wonderful options for enriching outdoor adventures tailored to your dog’s energy level. Both of us work locally and from home, which allows for attentive care, regular check-ins, and flexible supervision throughout the day. We bring years of hands-on experience with dogs at every stage of life. I have adopted and cared for senior dogs, including those needing extra patience and support, and my partner has raised two beloved pups from puppyhood through their full lives. We understand how important it is to provide not just care, but consistency, comfort, and genuine affection. Your dog will be treated like part of the family here. I work full time a mix of at home and around town. On a 9-5ish schedule with weekends off. We go for a walk almost daily and add in some hikes on the weekends. A dog would fit well with the daily routine. I have a fenced yard and that will keep your dog comfy and entertained. If they like going out in public and other dogs we are social folks. I also understand dogs that may just want to chill around the house.

“Skye is the reason Rover is around. She always leaves me with peace of mind that Braza is well taken care of and not just safe but actually cared for. That's something you don't get from a regular boarding facility with tons of dogs in a sterile environment with overworked and overcrowded facilities. She is always very accommodating for me and my schedule but most of all gives Braza all the proper attention and adventure he craves.”

About: I've basically been around dogs all my life and I love them dearly. I lived on a farm in Mexico for over 15 years and had my pack of 5 dogs. I enjoy playing and spending time with them, walks and talks :) I have patience for dogs like no other, their needs are my top priority. Every dog is a good dog🖤 I'm currently unemployed, so I'll have all the time in the world to take care and to have a fun time with your pup!! Walks, treats and belly rubs all day🖤 I have a fenced back yard that your pup and my pup can play in, many dog toys and of course the house to roam around in. My house isn't very small but not too big either, but its definitely safe for your pup 100%. I do walks locally, so it's safe and close to home!
“Charlie was great! Very attentive and knowledgeable about dogs and much more. Absolutely gave my boy a little vacation and toured him the sites and spots all over. Really enjoyed all the picture and video updates as well. I’d recommend Charlie to anyone who wants the best for their pet while they are away.”

“When I flew to Michigan for the holidays, Roseann was the only person I trusted my dog, Cash, with for the week. I drove 2 hours out of my way from the airport so that Cash could spend the week week with her and he came back happy as always. Thanks again Roseann!”

“Our pup had a wonderful time with Amber and her family in their home. Amber was an excellent communicator and very easygoing. It is clear that this is a household that really understands and treasures dogs. I also really appreciated that Amber offered a few observations on our dog’s behavior around other homes/families to help us coordinate with future sitters. 11/10 recommend. Thank you Amber and family!”

“Emmillie took great care of Ollie while we were away. Ollie had a great time playing with her and her dog. He was tired all day when he came home. She shared photos and had very good communication before and during the stay. Highly recommend.”

“Kenzie was amazing with our dog Rory. She made every effort to accommodate our dog and her special needs. Kenzie is very responsive, and we appreciated the picture updates we received. Our dog loved playing with her dog Mochi. We will definitely be back!”

About: I love dogs and recently we lost our 15 year pit bull. He was the best and we are happy to help care for your dog while you are out of town. I work full time. I have weekends off and depending on your pets needs we can also help during the week. We would want to meet in advance to learn your dogs needs to give the best care. We have a fenced in yard. We do have a pool it is covered during the winter. No pets are allowed in the pool when open. We have trail right outside our door available for fun walks.
“Katlyn exceeded all our expectations! I am so grateful we found her on Rover. Leaving on a trip is stressful and worrying about our pets adds to it all. Our dog, Sid, had such a great time that I wasn't sure he would want to leave her house when we arrived home. Katlyn was great at communicating with us; she gave us updates and photos every day. I highly recommend her services!!”

“Jaleh was wonderful with my dog, made her feel right at home and kept us updated with a sunbathing picture everyday 🤗 I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for coverage for their beloved animal.”

About: I have always had a dog in my life, and currently own 2 high energy GSP’s. I live on 12 acres off a quiet road which is a haven for dogs of all kinds. I work from home so am able to give lots of attention throughout the day and love to cuddle at night. My dogs are extremely friendly and will likely want to cuddle your dog at night too after a full day of running around on the property. I provide attention to detailed needs (like checking for ticks or caring for a sprained ankle) without hesitation. So you can travel with ease knowing your pup will return happy and healthy! I work from home so can give your pup lots of attention throughout the day. The weekends I enjoy being outside, whether that’s working out on our land, or taking the dogs on a hike or down to the river. I’m open to embarking on your pups favorite activities to make them feel comfortable. Through my experience I’ve learned that an active and occupied dog is a happy dog when their owners are away, which is something I strive for with every dog including my own. I live on 12 acres that is unfenced but on a quiet road with few neighbors. At night one of my dogs is crated (since he’s still a puppy) the other is uncrated. They are lovers of every dog and human they meet. I am sure I can accommodate most any of your dogs needs while staying. Except for sleeping in the bed with me - sorry I can’t do that :)

About: We are a married couple that work from home and have a friendly 3 year old golden retriever and an 11 month Collie Mix. We have decided to host one dog (family) at a time. We are home bodies and our pups love having company. When you book with us feel safe knowing both of us will be at home with your dog and monitoring their safety. We both grew up with family dogs and other pets and we understand the scary feeling of boarding your dog. We are happy to meet and answer any questions before taking in your dog. We will update you daily (at a minimum) of how they are doing, including sending pictures of course. As mentioned, we work from home. Our schedules are very flexible. When we book a stay we plan on staying home and playing with the dogs. We have a fully fenced backyard where our boy Lambeau plays. Your dog will be part of the family and free to roam the house and yard as they please.
“Kathleen was great with my dog, Beau. She sent pictures and updates ,which made me feel reassured, her dog and mine both got along well togetherl, Kathleen made my dog feel at home and part of her family ! Lauren Urso”
About: I've been full-time caring for my own pup for the last year, since my partner and I rescued him. I've learned a ton in that time, and now love hosting my friends' doggos for daytime and overnight playdates. I know that what dogs need is exercise, food (duh), and lots of love! I have also been part-time caring for my dad's new 4-month-old pup, so I have experience with newer and older doggos. I work from home full-time, so I can hang with your dog(s) all day/night! And can always make time for short or long walks, and bigger adventures like a hike if there's time/desire. I have a very friendly husky pup (1 year old) who loves to meet and play with new dog friends, so your dog(s) will fit right in and have nice company. My home has a grassy backyard that is unfenced, so my pup stays on his leash - I can either keep yours leashed or unleashed, whichever you prefer! We live about a mile from the Irving Dog Park, so we go there a lot, but I also love taking pups to Mt. Tabor and other beautiful dog parks around Portland.
