I have decades of experience taking care of dogs, including my own, friends', and dogs in rescues and shelters. I was the dog-walking coordinator for a dog rescue and a dog-walking volunteer for a public shelter for years. I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible. DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home as an editor, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care). I have a fully fenced yard at my home for potty breaks (separate from walks/hikes). If you don't have a fully fenced yard at your home, it's no problem to take your dog for leashed potty walks as frequently as necessary.

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals and I am willing do to whatever it takes to make them happy, comfortable, and cared for. I do work varying shifts from 10-12 hours 3-4x a week. However, outside of work I will still provide everything they may need! With lots of pets, play time and going outside! I find such joy in training them and helping them find their new perfect home. My love for dogs has naturally made me the go-to person for dog sitting and organizing puppy adventures. I firmly believe in the mantra: a tired dog is a happy dog! I have extensive experience in caring for dogs of all ages and needs, including seniors, puppies, and those with special requirements. Even the most rambunctious yet lovable pups are right at home with me. You can have peace of mind knowing your dog is in loving hands and having an amazing time while you're away! I currently work a schedule that provides a lot of time at home, so breaking up the day with walks/hikes/adventures is welcomed! I look forward to making your dog part of my daily routine! I have a fully fenced dog friendly yard. Pets will be supervised while at my house and in my care. Regular outings are provided and I will adapt to the bathroom/feeding schedule on a pet to pet basis. I love training and practice positive reinforcement! I am happy to care for pets in clients homes as well and am willing to discuss what your normal routine looks like.
About: We are a married couple that work from home and have a friendly 3 year old golden retriever and an 11 month Collie Mix. We have decided to host one dog (family) at a time. We are home bodies and our pups love having company. When you book with us feel safe knowing both of us will be at home with your dog and monitoring their safety. We both grew up with family dogs and other pets and we understand the scary feeling of boarding your dog. We are happy to meet and answer any questions before taking in your dog. We will update you daily (at a minimum) of how they are doing, including sending pictures of course. As mentioned, we work from home. Our schedules are very flexible. When we book a stay we plan on staying home and playing with the dogs. We have a fully fenced backyard where our boy Lambeau plays. Your dog will be part of the family and free to roam the house and yard as they please.
