About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.

About: I’ve always grown up with a dog in my home. I have experience handling a variety breeds of all sizes, from a small 20lb Cairn Terrier to a 185lb Boerboel! I also have experience administering medication which included oral consumption as well as shots. I have been very reliable to my close family members and friends to take care of their dogs and cats when they are working or away on vacation! I do not offer discounts at this time, thank you for understanding! House Sitting Requests: Please keep in mind that I am catering to repeat clients I have throughout the week day as well! Depending on my schedule, I may not be at your home 24/7, however, I guarantee your pets won’t be alone longer than 5-6 hours. Typically I limit leaving to 2 times a day to accommodate these clients. (I won’t be gone 5-6 hours each time) My coming and going schedule will be provided prior to sitting! Constant Care: Constant care is applied to any sitting that doesn’t allow me to leave for more than 4 hours of the day, per day. Constant care rates start at $175/ night (additional rates still apply) and increase based off of pet’s needs. Please understand this service may not always be available and interferes with ongoing mid day clients. Price reflects alternative arrangements I need to make for existing clients. If you have any questions regarding this, please reach out! I currently only allow one family for boarding at a time. Prices reflect solo care and not having to worry about exposure to other dogs during their stay. I currently have one cat in the home - a 12 year old Maine Coon mix who is very relaxed and tends to mind her own business. Between my boyfriend and I, there is always someone on property, so potty breaks can be provided frequently!

About: I am a former Special Education Teacher primarily booking house/pet sitting clients. I work minimal hours remotely and enjoy the novelty and companionship that Rover clients offer my lifestyle. This means I have a lot of time and attention to devote to your pet when you cannnot. I live on a lovely property in the country with a large yard and access to miles of wooded trails for long walks. I’m primarily interested in house/pet sitting clients and am open to boarding or pet sitting for a repeat clients I am familiar with. I have experience with large breed and high energy breeds over the years. I do not qualify myself a “trainer”, however, I completed Therapy Dog Selection and Training through the University of Maine and have studied animal behavior for my professional work. About: I love dogs (and cats) more than anything! I am happy to treat your fur babies to the finest care during the day, overnight, while you are on vacation, or once in awhile for walks, hikes, check ins, at your place or mine! A popular request this summer has been from folks on visiting who would like me to day sit at their campground/rv/hotel/air bnb while they enjoy the park, biking, boating or going out to eat. For boarding, My husband and I have a wonderful centrally located home in the Acadia region off the island. We have a fenced in yard and can take the stress out of leaving your pets while on vacation. Pick up and drop off can be arranged at the head of the island if requested. Wedding or event coming up? I can be your pets chaperon then too, just ask :) Need to exercise your pup? Mini day hikes available too- custom fit for your pups comfort. This summer I am taking a sabbatical to my career job which means more hiking, walks and freedom to spend time with your pet- with flexible scheduling :) While my home offers a wonderful spacious lawn and garden area for the pups with a secure 4' ht enclosed fence, pets are never left unattended in the area. Happy to board with your routine in mind in terms of crating or free range of our home and total pampering. Pet sitting at your home is welcome too!

About: I have had dogs and other various pets for most of my life. I feel as though I have a strong connection and passionate drive to caring for animals and I really enjoy it. I recently lost my dog of six years so it’s been quite lonely around the house without him! I work from home so I can keep an eye on your dog throughout the day and utilize my break time to take them outside. I have a detached fenced in yard, so they’ll get plenty of exercise. I have room for a crate if that is needed as well.

I use positive reinforcement training techniques with our three rescue dogs and I use worship all cats techniques with our cats 😆. I am great at reading animals and understanding the different personalities and quirks they each have so I can provide them with the best care that works for them 🧐 Every animal is different but they all deserve our best! I have a flexible schedule and my own car that allows me to be an adaptive and on call care giver. I don't mind late bookings or cancelations as I understand that things come up. I am new to rover and still figuring out what works best but am always willing to work with clients on what works best for them and their pets. All people are safe and welcome with me, ALL. 💖 Animals are my first priority but I also believe homes and personal spaces are sacred and I will always treat them with respect and attention. All animals are different so its important to use to always be aware of anything potentially unsafe. Our home is for animals first and there is nowhere they aren't allowed although animal guests and clients are always fully supervised to make sure they are safe and comfortable. About: I have two labs, one is six years old and the second is six months old. People have trusted me to take care of their dogs for years and I love being around animals. I currently work full-time from home and I’m outside with my dogs every day playing! pet care is a necessity for me as my world revolves around my girls. I have two labs that are very friendly and playful, I also have the ability to crate dogs as well. I used to work in clients homes so I have a vast understanding of the necessity to keep your home safe and well cared for. I also understand the vulnerability that your pet may feel if you are gone at work or for a period of time.

About: I have 20 years of hands-on animal care experience, and I actually love being around them, and putting my skills to good use. They bring me great joy, and I try to reciprocate that. I would love to work locally so I am able to work my own hours around my grandsons educational needs, while providing income by doing what I love. I have my Veterinary Assistant certificate, and have experience in applying some medications. I am aware of the drastic New England temperatures, as I've lived her all my life, and I take that into great consideration when caring for the animals entrusted in my care. I know some dogs can go unleashed, but I do NOT let them off leash while in my care. I apologize for this, but I will walk them on a leash as many times as they like!

About: Growing up my home was filled with animals, we had dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, fish and hamsters. As an adult my life is quite similar. It is important to me that my children be raised around animals to learn to love and respect all life! I’m a stay at home wife and mother. My schedule is very flexible. My children are both in school so I have a lot of the middle of the day completely to myself (and my pets) I have a wonderful back yard along with two dogs to keep yours company! The house is completely pet friendly but we can always use fenced in safe areas or crates inside if needed.

We’re generally available daily, except when fully booked or on a planned day off. Pets are welcome in our home and can relax on the couch, bed, or their own space—your choice.
