“Keshia was great! My dogs loved playing with her and told us that we should go away more often. On time and our dogs were extremely happy and slept all night with out needing to go out. We were very pleased to have Keshia as oidog sitter.”

“This was the first time we left our dog with someone other than family or a close friend. Emily did an amazing job of easing our anxiety as well as keeping our very anxious dog comfortable while we were away. She learned our dog’s personality quickly and kept us updated with regular updates and pictures. She got the cutest pictures of our dog too. We came home to a clean house and a very happy dog! We will definitely rebook Emily in the future!”

“Palma was on time, gave all necessary medications, sent photos, and left the house cleaner than she found it! She communicated well. Our babies were in great hands. Thank you Palma!!”

“Sarah and Mason were very reliable and communicative. Felt comfortable leaving our 3 dogs in their care for an extended amount of time. Would definitely use their services again in the future.”

“Sophia was wonderful, she took such special care of our Border Collie Goose! He has terrible separation anxiety and Sophia barely left his side for straight week. I came home to happy dog and a very clean house. We will absolutely have her again and would highly recommend her.”

About: I come from a farm in Maine where most of my friends were animals of many different species. Whether they were considered livestock or pets, they imparted their unique perspective on me and the way I walk through this world. My friends have been goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, pigs, cows, rats, hamsters, fish, tarantulas, and many forms of wildlife. I listen to their messages and always look out for not only their welfare but their autonomy, which is a fragile thing in this anthrocentric society they are forced into. I am available from late morning to early evening most days. Transportation is limited for me so you must be within biking range. You are free to drop your dog off for dog walking or playtime in the yard but indoor play is not possible at this time. I live on a somewhat busy road with no fence, but a lot of yard space to play in. Indoors is not a good place for any pet besides my cat. I am very spritely and young, and can keep up with any type of game preferred by your pet. I love long walks and hikes-I will even run if you have an athletic dog. I thrive on details about what is safest and enjoyable for you and your pet, and I’m also very attuned to animals. I am good with feeding and medicine schedules. I have had plenty of sick and special needs pets, so I’m comfortable with giving medicine or cleaning pets who can’t clean themselves. I’m affectionate and warm, so I do best with pets who are kind and not too traumatized, but I can adapt. I have discovered that most animals enjoy it when I play the folk harp or sing. It’s a type of music therapy for them, even if it’s not their music taste. (my cat prefers jazz but enjoys harp in the evening) Some animals are scared of the harp’s appearance at first before the music sinks into their heart.
“It's always hard to leave the old boy, but Marie was outstanding and kept Bentley safe and warm as well as providing a constant presence. Marie is a neat and conscientious house guest and I would not hesitate to ask her back again.”
“Kaitlynn was exceptional! She delivered on the elements we would hope for when caring for our dog. She communicated clearly and timely with relevant updates that gave us piece of mind. She took the time to listen and get to know and understand our anxious and sometimes reactive cattle dog, giving him the physical exercise he needed along with the mental stimulation. She went above and beyond and we would highly recommend Kaitlynn.”

Sometimes just sitting down and relaxing going with the dog and its individual needs
About: Hi, I’m Clara! Animals have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments—from tiny parrots to towering horses—and I’m confident handling everything in between. I have experience with: • Puppies and young dogs (training, socialization, and lots of patience!) • Caring for a dog with frequent seizures and special health needs • Working at a large dog rescue in Mexico, rehabilitating street dogs with behavioral and medical issues of all sizes • Administering oral medications and following detailed care instructions • Senior pet care with extra attention and gentleness (my dog is epileptic so I know how to administer all seizure meds and the full protocol) • Basic training and reinforcing good behavior • Horse care from years of working in barns (feeding, grooming, handling) • Volunteering for a year at a parrot rescue, learning about specialized bird care I’m active and outdoorsy, so I love taking energetic dogs for runs, hikes, or long walks—but I’m just as happy giving older or calmer pets plenty of snuggles. Safety, compassion, and keeping your pets happy are my top priorities, and I’ll always send plenty of photo updates while you’re away. I’m currently completely open and very flexible with scheduling. I’m not working another job right now, so I can adjust to your pet’s exact needs—whether that’s early mornings, late nights, or last-minute bookings. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. In my home, pets must be friendly with other dogs, as I have my own, and everyone’s well-being is a top priority. We have a fully fenced yard for safe play and fresh air, and I love going on regular walks to keep pets happy and healthy. I’m very routine-oriented, so I’ll follow your pet’s feeding, exercise, and care schedule exactly as you request—whether in my home or yours. I make sure each animal feels secure, loved, and stress-free, with plenty of supervision, enrichment, and affection.

About: Hi!! I’ve had experience with animals for my entire life, and I’m looking for a bit more experience to build up my portfolio for veterinary school. This would be beneficial and enjoyable and open your schedule a bit. I’m currently at my normal job 4 days a week, on top of college, volunteering , and social obligations. I have 3 days off on which I can potentially be available. Im unavailable for any pet services in my own home, but I can commute to you and care for your pet at yours. I can do bathing, cage cleaning, walking, feeding, watering, playing, and any other necessary tasks. I will not stay anywhere overnight, but I can work with your animals for a few hours during the day.

About: I love to give pet owners peace of mind knowing their pets are safe and receiving attentive care while they’re away. I will give them all the love and attention to help them pass the time until you’re home. I am currently working part time so I have a lot of flexibility in my work schedule. Part time also allows me to provide care on days that I am working. Any rules or boundaries set by you will be honored. I will respect your home and your pets and provide the care you know they deserve.
“Kaleigh was absolutely amazing with watching my dog and three cats! She provided great updates every day, which helped me with our week away from them all. All of them were well fed and watered and the boxes were cleaned in a timely manner. The house was exactly as we left it and it was a great relief to have someone so reliable watch them while we were away.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Moosup on Rover is $45.51 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,536 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Moosup. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Moosup walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Moosup maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moosup choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Moosup. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
