“Jim did an amazing job with my fur baby! He send me lots of pictures and gave me updates on how he was doing. His house is set up perfectly to accommodate any dog! Will absolutely be requesting his services again.”
“Alyssa took great care of our beautiful Lilly. Lilly was a bit anxious the first night, but Alyssa made her comfortable and even slept on the couch next to Lilly's bed. Thanks to Alyssa's patience, Lilly slept soundly in her bed in Alyssa's room on the 3rd night. Lilly loved Alyssa and I'm sure she'll be happy to return to Alyssa's care when needed. Alyssa provided updates several times a day and responded to any of my messages in a very timely fashion. I would recommend Alyssa to anyone as I can tell that she lovingly cared for our big girl the same as we do.”

“Natalie and her husband are the absolute best! They kept me updated on my pups with pictures and messages each day! Their home is beautiful and clean with lots of room for my pups to play. I am so grateful I found them and would highly recommend to everyone. I completely trust my 2 dogs with them and felt safe knowing they were in their care our whole trip!!!!! ❤️”

“Amanda had my active puppy for an entire week - she was so well cared for and had so much fun. Amanda sent pictures so we could see how our little fur baby was doing along the way. Her large fenced in yard was perfect! Highly recommend!”

“Carole was great! She responded quickly and sent lots of pictures. My pup definitely enjoyed himself! He came home well cared for and tired from all the play. He got along well with her dog Zoey. Even though Carole is 45 plus minutes away from me, I will definitely make that drive again so she can watch my dog.”

“Dawn was amazing with our boys. They were so happy when we dropped them off enjoying the big yard. So many things to explore. The pictures through the day was a great comfort! I just know they can’t wait to go back!”

“Very thankful for Beth's flexibility! She was able to watch my dog at her house (for the second time) when I had to go on a quick work trip with only a few days notice. She also sent me pictures of my dog to let me know that my dog was having fun!”

“Highly recommend!! Will book again, wonderful boarding services and very professional. Sent photos and our Albert looked as happy as ever. His face said it all. Thank you Alyssa and Josh.”

“Bill was a fabulous caregiver for our dog! I am so happy to have found him! He sent us pictures and updates every day!! And was a super nice person and very organized!!!! Can’t wait til next trip for our pup to go back!”

“Richard and his family were awesome! They treated Zoey with love and care! Sent pictures often and gave her lots of snuggles and love! I recommend him highly!!!”

“Working with Dolly was great. Constant stream of updates and photos throughout the entire stay. She was able to accommodate my last minute request well. No complaints. Would recommend to others.”

“Alyssa took such good care of Charlie! She provided him a safe environment where it was clear that he was very comfortable - so much so that he didn't want to leave! I am grateful for her excellent care and superb communication. Charlie is asking when he can go back!”

“Kristin is great! Her house was well kept, with a nice backyard for playtime. Her pets made great companions and she took great care of my pup. She'll be my first choice next time I need someone to watch him.”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and have cared for several dogs over the years. I currently have two small dogs of my own, a Yorkshire Terrier and a Maltese, and they are both very friendly and comfortable around other dogs. My Yorkie is 8 years old, so I have plenty of hands-on experience with daily care, feeding, walking, playtime, and giving dogs the attention they need. I spend a lot of time at home, which allows me to keep a close eye on the dogs in my care and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I truly enjoy having dogs around and will treat your dog like part of the family while they stay with us 🐶 I will be home with the dogs throughout the day, so they get plenty of attention and regular potty breaks. We already have our own dogs, so caring for dogs is a natural part of our daily routine. I’m available for both daytime daycare and overnight boarding. Our home is in a quiet area with plenty of space between neighbors, which makes it a peaceful place for dogs to relax and feel at home. We keep our home clean, quiet, and comfortable for our dogs and visiting pups. The house is regularly cleaned and disinfected, and we do an extra cleaning before every new stay. Potty pads are changed frequently, and we use air purifiers indoors to help keep the space fresh and odor-free. Our own dogs also receive regular flea and tick prevention. Most importantly, someone is home throughout the day to keep an eye on the dogs and make sure they are safe and comfortable.
“Sheryl is sensitive to the needs of her canine guests. My dog, Rufus, is older and doesn’t run with the big dogs. Sheryl understood that Rufus needs a quieter environment. I felt good that Sheryl provided a safe place for Rufus while we were on vacation. I will rebook with her.”

“I came home to two happy, healthy dogs. I didn't worry about them once while I was away because Grace is so good with them. She sent pictures and updates. Grace is my go to sitter!”

Samantha took such great care of our puppy and her family was wonderfully welcoming. She kept us informed and she made sure everything went smoothly. We are so thrilled that the experience for our pup was so great. We plan to use Samantha’s services again in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Monocacy Station home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Monocacy Station.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Monocacy Station sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
