I help care for their pets regularly, so I’m comfortable meeting the unique needs of animals of all kinds and treating each one like family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m currently finishing up breast cancer treatment and have intentionally chosen pet sitting as my primary work. About: My husband and I own a dog grooming salon, in Orland park, which was owned by his family and has been in business for over 25 years. We have American Red Cross CPR class, for dogs, two times a year at our dog grooming salon. All dogs must be potty trained to go outside. Puppy pad trained dogs are not accepted. Diapers on dogs are not accepted. Thank you for considering us to care for your fur baby while your away. One of us stays in your home with your fur babies over night. We do have to go to work during the day. We do our best to try to keep your pet’s routine the same. We care for the client’s dogs in their home and follow whatever instructions we are given. About: I worked full time for a shelter and loved working with every animal there. Meeting them at their level so that their needs were completely fulfilled was my passion. Whether they were high or low energy, dim or bright, friendly or not, I thrived on figuring out what would make the the most adoptable and what would make them most comfortable in the harsh shelter environment. It was a difficult and demanding job at times especially when I needed to provide first aid or medication/therapy for ailing animals but I always enjoyed coming home knowing I did something that meant something to those parent-less pets. I find it very fulfilling to be able to make time for my own furry friends! Working in a shelter environment I often met many animals at their lowest when they were beyond scared and upset. I got exposure to many dogs and cats that were horribly unadapted to life around people and had personalities on either end of the spectrum. I am more than comfortable with animals that are more aggressive in both appearance and personality and was frequently tasked with retrieving abandoned or lost animals using the company van.
