“This was our first experience with Rover.com and Nellie had a wonderful time at Karen's "pet resort." I'm not certain there could be a better set up for a "city" dog to play on a farm. Karen has an amazing fenced area with lots of opportunity for interaction with her dogs as well as others. She has a great set up for outside play and indoor boarding. I felt very comfortable leaving Nellie in Karen's care.”

About: I’ve had animals in every corner of my life, throughout my whole life! I’ve taken care of many dogs and cats all with various needs such as medications, appointments, and mobile assistance. I have also volunteered with Wisconsin WildCare and local humane societies. I am a passionate & fearless animal advocate with speed dial access to a large animal vet and a retired DNR officer. I will treat your pet as my own whether it’s in my home or your home. I work a full time job only seven minutes from my home. My job is incredibly flexible and understanding of my need to let animals out or even leave work early for pet care! I have a balcony that animals can hang out on and a large grassy field that I take animals for walks on. I always keep them leashed. If I want them to be unleashed, I can take them to the local dog park five minutes from my house! I am comfortable with animals on furniture and sleeping in bed with me. I have access to my own crate if the animal is crate trained.

“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”

About: Our family has always been surrounded by animals, and we’ve loved dog sitting for friends and neighbors over the years. While we are not ready to own a dog yet, my kids and I would love to take yours for the weekend! We have a backyard and a large park close by for getting outside so your dog will get plenty of outdoor time, play, and exercise. You can expect lots of interaction, attention, and a warm family environment where your pet will feel right at home. I work Monday through Friday but have plenty of time on evenings and weekends for interaction and exercise with your dog. Your dog can expect 2-3 walks a day, being outside as much as possible and lots of interaction from our kids when staying with us. We have a single family home with an un-fenced backyard, however your dog will never be left unsupervised outside. Your dog will receive the same care as if it were ours.

Leanne was respectful, checking in about things that might be issues (such as letting her up on the couch, visiting the dog park, where to have her crate for sleeping, having an initial "get to know you" to see if her cat and my dog got along, etc.). My husband and myself have opened our home with a very large fenced in backyard to welcome your dogs. Between the two of us, your dogs will feel right at home. My husband is also certified in dog massages (yes it’s a thing! 😅) so if you have a pup with joint or mobility issues, he can assist with that as a bonus! If you are welcoming me into your home, I will be sure it looks just as good as when you left it in my care. I currently work part-time and my husband also has a flexible schedule to ensure your dogs have the attention they need during their stay with us. We have a comfortable environment with a large fenced in backyard for your dog to play in and have frequent potty breaks. If your dog needs their own space, we have extra rooms in the house that can be their own during their stay.

I’ve provided both day and night care, and handled meals, walks, potty breaks, medications, and cleaning. Hello!! I am a soon to be stay-at-home momma who will have lots of available time to watch/play with/or walk your furry friends! I currently have a dog and a cat of my own but they are very friendly and loving with all animals big or small. I would love to board your animals in my home! But, they must be friendly with both dogs and cats as I have one of each who are very sweet and get along with everyone! All supplies will need to be dropped off with your furry friend as well as I don’t have extra kennels (if your pup uses one) or extra supplies.
