About: I was a dog mom for 16 years to my beautiful baby girl. We went everywhere together. Literally everywhere. In that time I was also the vet tech, groomer, trainer, personal Vizsla chef, bone delivery girl and I became a professional tennis ball and flippy flop launcher. I have significant experience in puppy/baby dinosaur stages all the way to senior care. I have experience with rambunctious pups that may have a minor injury, allergies and medication administration. I sadly lost my girl a few years ago and have been keeping friends and family's pets since and I've loved getting some puppy snuggles! I am currently working as a nurse and I work one week on and one week off. In my weeks off, I have plenty of time to go walking at the park or hang out at home. My home is very dog friendly and allowed on all couches, chairs and beds. I have an orthopedic dog bed also available and lots of toys! My yard is partially fenced in with no gate on either end. All pups will be leashed when outside the home. No exceptions.

“Tara did a FANTASTIC job taking care of our kitty. She was professional and punctual and followed my instructions perfectly. Plus she was a total sweetheart, very warm and loving to our kitty, thoughtful, and kind. I would highly recommend hiring her to take care of your babies!”

“April did an excellent job with our dogs during her drop in visits. She was dependable, caring, and great with communication. Our dogs were happy and well cared for, we’d definitely book her again!”

About: I have experience of 12 years of caring for big, high energy dogs. I am good with any kind of animal and love them all! I am free to check in on pets Sunday or Monday typically, just ask me if you need another day and I may be able to work with you! Whatever the rules are for that home, I will make sure to uphold those. I personally have a reactive dog (to other dogs) in training so I won’t be able to board as of the moment.
About: I’m newer on Rover, but my first experience was with a dog named Finn — and he ended up becoming more like a friend than a “job.” Spending time with him reminded me how much I enjoy caring for dogs and how quickly you build a real connection when you’re part of their daily routine. I’m patient, reliable, and make sure every dog feels safe and comfortable. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just hanging out together, I try to match each dog’s energy and personality so they feel at home with me. I’m a graduate student and spending time with family until my job starts this summer, so my schedule is wide open. I have plenty of time during the day for walks, playtime, and attention. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays, and I’m flexible if your pup needs extra care or a specific routine. I create a calm, comfortable setup for every dog I watch. Your pup will have their own designated space so they can settle in and feel secure, and I always stick closely to your routine — feeding times, walks, meds, and any quirks they may have. I’m attentive, patient, and always close by, which helps dogs adjust quickly and feel at ease. Whether your pup likes to relax or stay active, I make sure they’re safe, cared for, and getting plenty of one-on-one time.
About: With years of experience in pet care, I offer a personalized and loving approach to every furry friend I care for. What sets me apart is my ability to cater to pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra attention. I have experience in basic puppy training, ensuring your young dog learns good habits, as well as specialized care for senior dogs with mobility or health concerns. I’m committed to providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that gives both pets and owners peace of mind. Your dog will feel like part of my family! Pet care typically fits into my daily routine by including feeding, exercise, grooming, and attention. Here’s how it could break down: Daily: 1. Morning: • Feed pets (breakfast) • Take dogs for a walk or let them out for exercise • Spend time playing or interacting with pets 2. Throughout the day: • Provide fresh water • Monitor pet behavior, and offer attention or toys as needed 3. Evening: • Feed pets (dinner) • Another walk or playtime for dogs • Ensure pets have a clean and comfortable space to sleep When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize safety, trust, and providing a comfortable environment. Here’s how I approach each: Safety: 1. Pet-Proofing: • I ensure that any potentially dangerous items (like toxic plants, small objects, or harmful chemicals) are out of reach. • For dogs, I make sure that gates or secure areas are in place to prevent them from getting into unsafe zones, such as near the road or pool. 2. Proper Identification: • I check that pets wear their collars with tags, and for extra security, I make sure pets are microchipped in case they get lost. 3. Supervision: • While pets are in my care, I supervise them during walks, playtime, and interactions with other pets to ensure their safety. 4. Health Monitoring: • I keep track of pets’ physical and mental well-being, ensuring they’re eating well, staying hydrated, and not showing signs of distress or illness. Trust: 1. Bonding Time: • I spend quality time with pets to build trust, whether it’s through play, training, or simply hanging out. This helps them feel more comfortable in a new environment. 2. Routine: • Pets thrive on routine, so I stick to their regular feeding and exercise schedule to create a sense of stability and security. 3. Communication with Owners: • I keep open lines of communication with pet owners, updating them on how their pets are doing, and follow any specific instructions they give me for the care of their pets. Environment: 1. Comfortable Space: • Whether at my home or a client’s, I ensure pets have a designated, quiet, and comfortable space to rest. For example, I set up cozy bedding, and provide familiar toys to make them feel at home. 2. Enrichment: • I offer toys, puzzles, or other interactive activities that stimulate pets mentally and physically to keep them engaged. 3. Safe Outdoor Spaces: • For walks or playtime outside, I ensure the area is enclosed or safe for the pets, avoiding busy roads.
“Savannah was awesome. We have 3 cats, one still a baby. The baby got on the counter and shredded paper towels while we were gone, Savannah cleaned it up! She didn't have to do that, but she went above and beyond the call of duty. If you are looking for a cat sitter, SHE IS THE ONE TO CALL! Thanks for being awesome Savannah!!!!❤️”

“Erica is the one! It was our first time leaving our dogs at home while we travel, because our bulldog is getting old with health issues. She gave us thorough updates with pictures while she was at our house (We did drop ins 2 times a day). Our Westie wasn’t eating, but Erica went out of her way to make sure she was well taken care of. We will definitely use her again 😊”

“Hannah was absolutely amazing with our dog. She truly went above and beyond in every aspect of his care and made us feel completely comfortable while we were away. She spent quality time walking him, playing with him and making sure he felt loved and cared for the entire time. One thing we especially appreciated was the constant communication and picture updates she sent that was so reassuring to see how happy and comfortable Shiloh was with her. It’s clear that Hannah genuinely cares about animals and treats them like her own. We couldn’t have asked for a better dogsitter and will definitely be using her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and intention I bring to every pet I care for. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I don’t see this as just a job. I truly enjoy spending time with them, learning their personalities, and making them feel safe and comfortable. I cared for my own 13-year-old dog through her senior years, which taught me patience, consistency, and how important routine and gentleness are. That experience shaped the way I approach pet care: calm, attentive, and fully present. I’m patient with puppies who are still learning and need structure, and I naturally take a steady, reassuring approach with older dogs. I pay attention to the little things: energy levels, mood, appetite, and overall comfort, because those details matter. Above all, I treat every pet the way I would want mine treated: with warmth, reliability, and genuine care. When your pet is with me, they’re not just being watched, they’re being cared for. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I only work part-time two days a week, and my partner works from home full-time. That means there is almost always someone home, so pets staying with us receive consistent supervision and attention throughout the day. Because we’re home often, we’re able to maintain feeding schedules, outdoor breaks, playtime, and quiet rest without long stretches of alone time. I also intentionally limit bookings so I can provide a calm, attentive environment rather than a crowded one. Your pet won’t feel like they’re being dropped off somewhere busy. They’ll be in a steady, home-based routine with plenty of presence and care. When pets stay in my home, they’re welcomed into a calm, structured environment. I have two friendly dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs, and I always prioritize slow, safe introductions to make sure everyone feels comfortable. I also have two cats in the home. They are used to dogs, but I’m very mindful about supervision and boundaries. I carefully assess each booking to ensure it’s a good fit for everyone, and I can separate spaces if needed so all pets feel secure and stress-free. While I don’t have a fenced yard, safety is extremely important to me. All outdoor time is supervised, and dogs are always leashed. We go on walks 2–3 times a day, along with regular potty breaks, to provide exercise and enrichment. Because I work part-time and my partner works from home, there is almost always someone present. That means consistent supervision, attention, and a steady routine throughout the day. Above all, I strive to create a safe, loving environment where pets feel included, respected, and well cared for.
“Priscilla was friendly and wonderful with Charlie. He is an elderly dog with special needs and we could tell he trusted Priscilla. Thank you again for easing our worry and taking care of Charlie like he was yours. We will be contacting you again.”
About: I've grown up with dogs & cats the past 29 years. Animals tend to take to me very well and it's about their body language. I have open availability besides Sunday mornings. I can work with you on time of day whether morning, afternoon or evenings. Whatever works best for both of us. I do meal times, fresh water always, potty time, play time, exercise time, loving time, bonding time especially for first time pups, also helps me to get to know their quirks. I may bring them on hikes & other activities can be discussed. With my own fur baby, she loves to play and frolic in the snow. I feed her a rice, chicken, greens, frozen fruit and salmon oil diet since I’ve heard kibble can be equal to fast food. She loves walks & trail hikes.
“Taylor is fantastic. We used her a month ago when our oldest dog was very sick and she was fantastic. We loved having her check on them again now that our oldest is better. You couldn’t ask for someone to love on your fur babies more.”
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a wagging tail and a happy pup! 🐕 From tiny puppies to senior dogs with special needs, I’ve had the joy of looking after dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether it’s going on long walks, giving belly rubs, or sticking to a special care routine, I treat every dog as if they were my own. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority. ❤️ I’m currently attending Union University for nurse anesthesia. Being a graduate student gives me the perfect balance of structure and flexibility, which means I can easily make time for your furry friend. My schedule allows for breaks throughout the day, so I can stop by for walks, playtime, or just some extra love and attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets — it’s the highlight of my day — and I love incorporating their care into my routine as a fun and rewarding part of my week. Your dog’s safety and happiness come first. I will always follow your care instructions closely. I believe trust is built through consistency, communication, and genuine love for animals — so you can feel confident your pup is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Cheryl was wonderful during her check in visits with my kitten Callie. Very easy to communicate with and went out of her way to provide the best service. I hope she will continue to take care of my girl when needed in the future!”

About: I will tell you a bit about me and I need to know about your dog as well. Before contacting me about caring for your dog, make sure their profile(s) is completed here on Rover. Upload a picture and submit as much info as you can provide. It helps me determine if your dog is a good fit for what I can provide. About me: Raised in the country surrounded by both family pets and farm animals, caring for critters is second nature to me. I am a doting grandma who lives too far away from my kids to see my grandchildren so I channel that attention toward my Australian Shepherd, Gumbo, and my new puppy, Boo, the Yorki-Poo. After I lost my husband and best friend I found the best way to cope is to help others and keep busy. If I can help you out with your dog or cat while you're away, let me know. I can use the extra income but also I need to feel useful. I keep my fee low. Tips are appreciated. I board at my home in the country near Dukedom, TN. Think of boarding here as bringing your dog to Grandma's house. There will be some spoiling and if pet parents permit, homemade dog cookies! Currently I am home all the time. Your dog will be with me and my dog while here. Gumbo (30 pound neutered male) likes to play fetch or frisbee and we do this daily. I feed my dog early morning (6-7) and early evening (6-7). I give a lot of outside time when weather allows. I give my dog a lot of attention and your dog(s) will get the same. We are a pack and your dog will be part of that pack when he/she stays with us. I live on 6 acres near Dukedom, TN. My large backyard has a chain link fence. If your dog likes to play ball or frisbee this is a great yard to do it in. In addition to the backyard, I have a large field that I keep a path mowed around just for walks but to go there your dog(s) must have excellent recall or be leashed trained very well. I don't want to be pulled around or have to struggle to hold them. Dogs really like going to the field. "No" is the word I use to stop misbehavior. If there is a different word you use, let me know. It is good to know what words/phrases your dog recognizes. It'd be great if you write those down and give it to me. I have carpet throughout my living quarters so PLEASE only housebroken dogs. I give numerous long outdoor time between 5 AM to 9 PM. Potty breaks are every couple of hours. Your pet must be vaccinated! Bordatella vacs are recommended every six-to-twelve months. if your dog frequents places with other dogs, get 6 month vaccine. My dogs are vaccinated. In the warmer months, it is very important that dogs have a flea and tick preventative or have some defense against these nasty bugs because both are out here. I keep grass mowed but they still get on the dogs so make sure they have a preventative. My dogs wear clothing treated with Sawyer flea/tick spray and I have had great success with that method along with a monthly prescribed medicine. Bring your pet's food/bowls/treats along with feeding instructions. Filling out pet profile in depth on Rover helps tremendously! It has an area for vet info and anything I would need to know about your dog can be on their profile! Gumbo has dog toys that he shares but if your dog has a fave, bring it. If your dog must sleep in a bed or crate, bring it. Sometimes a sweater or anything with your scent on it comforts a dog that misses his/her owner. You're welcome to bring that. If he/she has a brush that you want me to use, bring it. I can brush dogs but have no proper facility to bathe. In the summer, I have a small dog pool to cool off in and plenty of shade in the backyard. NO cell service out here so I do not carry my phone with me. I check my messages several times thru the day but I'm not like most that have their phone on them. It does me no good. Many rural people pay for cell service despite not getting it at their homes. I have a landline that works providing my internet service works. If there is anything else you need to know, do not hesitate to ask. I have my profile set to only take in three dogs at a time. I have two so I think five is enough. I am very attentive so rest assured I am keeping a good eye on them.
