About: I have experience of 12 years of caring for big, high energy dogs. I am good with any kind of animal and love them all! I am free to check in on pets Sunday or Monday typically, just ask me if you need another day and I may be able to work with you! Whatever the rules are for that home, I will make sure to uphold those. I personally have a reactive dog (to other dogs) in training so I won’t be able to board as of the moment.

“Tara did a FANTASTIC job taking care of our kitty. She was professional and punctual and followed my instructions perfectly. Plus she was a total sweetheart, very warm and loving to our kitty, thoughtful, and kind. I would highly recommend hiring her to take care of your babies!”

About: I’ve been around all types of animals my whole life! I currently have a lab, Tate, and three cats, Sissy, Bovie and Gus. Experienced pet sitter! I have great flexibility and available most days and weekends! Let’s chat about what schedule works best for you and your pets and I can make it happen. Primarily willing to care for pets in the clients home. If you’re wanting socialization for your dog(s), my pup is super friendly and social! Otherwise, willing to fulfill whatever special care you’d expect for your babies!
About: My two golden retrievers are of my life. They both love everyone and animal they have ever encountered. I have the hardest time boarding my dogs. It's so hard to trust someone with your babies. So I know boarding your dogs is not easiest thing and not knowing what is going on is the worst feeling. I will provide pictures, videos, updates or anything else to assure you that they are happy and content. I'll treat them like my own, very spoiled. There's nothing in this world knowing your pup is taken care of and happy. Feel free to ask any questions, address any concerns, I'm very responsive! I can't wait to meet your furbaby! ❤️ I like dogs more than I like most people.
About: Hi there! My name is Kylee, and I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I’ve raised and cared for dogs since I was about 6 years old, and I currently have three pups of my own who I absolutely adore. Whether it’s going on walks, playtime, or just giving them love and attention, I know how important it is to keep dogs happy, safe, and comfortable. I’ve also had experience dog-sitting for friends, family, and neighbors and experience housesitting over the years — from puppies to senior dogs — so I understand that every pet has their own unique personality and needs. I’m responsible, gentle, and super in tune with animals, and I treat every pet like my own. If you’re looking for someone dependable, patient, and pet-obsessed, I’d love to help care for your furry family member! I am currently a student pilot and have decided to take some time to travel and build experience before furthering to a bigger academy. I’m looking for house/pet sitting with accommodation, but am willing to go anywhere and give as much time to take care of your fur babies! Your pet’s safety and happiness come first. I always follow care instructions closely, keep the environment safe, and treat every animal like my own. You’ll get regular updates, and I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for at all times.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, and nothing makes me happier than seeing a wagging tail and a happy pup! 🐕 From tiny puppies to senior dogs with special needs, I’ve had the joy of looking after dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether it’s going on long walks, giving belly rubs, or sticking to a special care routine, I treat every dog as if they were my own. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority. ❤️ I’m currently attending Union University for nurse anesthesia. Being a graduate student gives me the perfect balance of structure and flexibility, which means I can easily make time for your furry friend. My schedule allows for breaks throughout the day, so I can stop by for walks, playtime, or just some extra love and attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets — it’s the highlight of my day — and I love incorporating their care into my routine as a fun and rewarding part of my week. Your dog’s safety and happiness come first. I will always follow your care instructions closely. I believe trust is built through consistency, communication, and genuine love for animals — so you can feel confident your pup is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I was a dog mom for 16 years to my beautiful baby girl. We went everywhere together. Literally everywhere. In that time I was also the vet tech, groomer, trainer, personal Vizsla chef, bone delivery girl and I became a professional tennis ball and flippy flop launcher. I have significant experience in puppy/baby dinosaur stages all the way to senior care. I have experience with rambunctious pups that may have a minor injury, allergies and medication administration. I sadly lost my girl a few years ago and have been keeping friends and family's pets since and I've loved getting some puppy snuggles! I am currently working as a nurse and I work one week on and one week off. In my weeks off, I have plenty of time to go walking at the park or hang out at home. My home is very dog friendly and allowed on all couches, chairs and beds. I have an orthopedic dog bed also available and lots of toys! My yard is partially fenced in with no gate on either end. All pups will be leashed when outside the home. No exceptions.

“Cheryl took care of my cat at my house during a long weekend getaway, and she was awesome! Cheryl was super easy to communicate with, met all my cat's medication and snuggle needs, brought in the odd assortment of packages we received during our time away, sent photos, and more. So happy we found you, Cheryl! Thanks so much!”

About: While I don’t have any pets of my own, I have experience in taking care of family and friends pets, keeping them happy and healthy and having the owner satisfied with my work. I have fed, bathed, and walked pets all while keeping them safe. I work and volunteer part time so that leaves plenty of time to visit your pets! I can visit on tuesdays Wednesdays, and thursdays and some weekends! Unfortunately due to the apartment life I have no room to bring your pets to my home, which is also why I have no pets of my own, but at your home I will ensure that all your pet is safe and things will not harm him/her!
About: I will tell you a bit about me and I need to know about your dog as well. Before contacting me about caring for your dog, make sure their profile(s) is completed here on Rover. Upload a picture and submit as much info as you can provide. It helps me determine if your dog is a good fit for what I can provide. About me: Raised in the country surrounded by both family pets and farm animals, caring for critters is second nature to me. I am a doting grandma who lives too far away from my kids to see my grandchildren so I channel that attention toward my Australian Shepherd, Gumbo, and my new puppy, Boo, the Yorki-Poo. After I lost my husband and best friend I found the best way to cope is to help others and keep busy. If I can help you out with your dog or cat while you're away, let me know. I can use the extra income but also I need to feel useful. I keep my fee low. Tips are appreciated. I board at my home in the country near Dukedom, TN. Think of boarding here as bringing your dog to Grandma's house. There will be some spoiling and if pet parents permit, homemade dog cookies! Currently I am home all the time. Your dog will be with me and my dog while here. Gumbo (30 pound neutered male) likes to play fetch or frisbee and we do this daily. I feed my dog early morning (6-7) and early evening (6-7). I give a lot of outside time when weather allows. I give my dog a lot of attention and your dog(s) will get the same. We are a pack and your dog will be part of that pack when he/she stays with us. I live on 6 acres near Dukedom, TN. My large backyard has a chain link fence. If your dog likes to play ball or frisbee this is a great yard to do it in. In addition to the backyard, I have a large field that I keep a path mowed around just for walks but to go there your dog(s) must have excellent recall or be leashed trained very well. I don't want to be pulled around or have to struggle to hold them. Dogs really like going to the field. "No" is the word I use to stop misbehavior. If there is a different word you use, let me know. It is good to know what words/phrases your dog recognizes. It'd be great if you write those down and give it to me. I have carpet throughout my living quarters so PLEASE only housebroken dogs. I give numerous long outdoor time between 5 AM to 9 PM. Potty breaks are every couple of hours. Your pet must be vaccinated! Bordatella vacs are recommended every six-to-twelve months. if your dog frequents places with other dogs, get 6 month vaccine. My dogs are vaccinated. In the warmer months, it is very important that dogs have a flea and tick preventative or have some defense against these nasty bugs because both are out here. I keep grass mowed but they still get on the dogs so make sure they have a preventative. My dogs wear clothing treated with Sawyer flea/tick spray and I have had great success with that method along with a monthly prescribed medicine. Bring your pet's food/bowls/treats along with feeding instructions. Filling out pet profile in depth on Rover helps tremendously! It has an area for vet info and anything I would need to know about your dog can be on their profile! Gumbo has dog toys that he shares but if your dog has a fave, bring it. If your dog must sleep in a bed or crate, bring it. Sometimes a sweater or anything with your scent on it comforts a dog that misses his/her owner. You're welcome to bring that. If he/she has a brush that you want me to use, bring it. I can brush dogs but have no proper facility to bathe. In the summer, I have a small dog pool to cool off in and plenty of shade in the backyard. NO cell service out here so I do not carry my phone with me. I check my messages several times thru the day but I'm not like most that have their phone on them. It does me no good. Many rural people pay for cell service despite not getting it at their homes. I have a landline that works providing my internet service works. If there is anything else you need to know, do not hesitate to ask. I have my profile set to only take in three dogs at a time. I have two so I think five is enough. I am very attentive so rest assured I am keeping a good eye on them.

“Dana was amazing to check in on our elderly cat while we were gone. She was so kind and considerate to all of our cat’s needs and was available to talk to about our cat everyday! We are so grateful for her! 💕”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
