As usual, Elizabeth was absolute magic with my two dogs. She has incredible empathy, and the dogs adore her. She also goes above and beyond to keep my house in immaculate condition. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and currently have two Beagles of my own. I have years of experience caring for my own dogs as well as dog sitting for friends, family, and other pet owners. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I understand that every dog has their own routine and needs. I’m happy to keep up with regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and any special instructions to make sure your dog feels happy, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I currently have a very flexible schedule, so I’m able to spend most of the day with the pets in my care. I can provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. I have a spacious home with a large, mostly fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely get outside and play. I always follow the owner’s instructions and keep pets’ routines, comfort, and safety a priority. I also have two friendly 20-pound Beagles who enjoy gentle play and would provide company for dogs who are comfortable around other dogs.

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 13. I walk mine and my sisters dogs frequently. I have done overnights with dogs. I let dogs out during the day and feed them for meal times. I am a nursing student at Hartwick college and can easily work about my schedule to take care of pets. I am unavailable on Thursdays, but every other day works depending on my schedule. In my clients home I use any equipment that they recommend and use. I have taken dogs for rides in my car and roll the windows down for them to see out.

About: I’ve been working with dogs for over 7 years, including the last 3 here on rover. ive cared for pups and kitties of all sizes, and i treat every pet like my own. providing safe, reliable, and loving care tailored to their needs. I work a full time job, and I’m looking for animals to balance the work / life schedule. I’d really love to be a rover sitter DAILY. Taking care of an animal involves providing essential care and attention to ensure its well-being. This includes offering suitable shelter, providing a balanced diet with access to fresh water. It's important to meet the animal's exercise needs, provide social interaction and companionship, and maintain their hygiene through grooming. Creating a safe environment, training your pet, and offering love and attention are crucial for their happiness. tailoring my care routine is key to ensuring a happy and healthy friend.

About: I have always had a love for animals since I can remember. I rescued and rehabbed two feral kittens that were living under a dumpster to my own rescued pup. I have had guest dogs in my home from tiny to extra large. They always received the same care as my own dog from sleeping in bed with us to plenty of walks and outdoor time. They will be in great, responsible hands with me! I currently have my own business so I make my schedule. I can be flexible with days of the week and times even with last minute notice. I always ensure the pets are secure via leash before leaving the home to go for walks or when they are "in" for the day (crates, baby gate - no matter their set up). I also gather all the information about the animal - any reactions to certain situations, recall cues etc prior to visits.

Aracely let out and fed my puppy midday for 2 months until the end of my school year. She took great care of my little guy. There were two times that she canceled morning of and, with that late notice, I was not able to leave work or get anyone else to take him out. I understand life happens but my little guy did go to the bathroom in his crate both of those days. If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would!

About: Hello! My name is Jahlea and I have always had animals in my house, those with and without fur, including fish, axolotls, hamsters, guinea pigs, a medium-sized terrier mix rescue dog and 2 large labradors. I have cared for and have loved my pets with all of my heart and I plan to do the same for your big and little ones as well. I have over 12 years of experience caring for various animals including bunnies, bearded dragons, dogs, cats, and fish. My specialty is caring for dogs and cats including those that are needing medicine (by injection or pill), are seniors, or have special needs. I am also a frequent petsitter for foster dogs so I have lots of experience with dogs that have emotional and behavioral issues and the patience and care it takes while they learn what it means to be loved again. I look forward to setting up a meet and greet with you and your furry friends! I will make sure that your pets feel comfortable and safe just as you would and I cant wait to give them lots of love!

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 11 years old. It started with my family dog, along with family members dogs. I would walk them and feed them. I then got my own dogs that I do all care for. I started fostering with a local rescue in 2022. I’ve cared for dogs with medical issues. Anywhere from Seizure disorders, parasites and other various medical issues. I treat every dog that I care for as if they’re my own. I currently work full time, M-F 730a-330p. I am able to check in, walk, feed, etc, dogs before work, during my lunch and after work. I have 2 dogs of my own. We live in a 3 bedroom house. Unfortunately, I don’t have a fenced in yard. I do take my dogs on multiple walks everyday along with utilizing a tie out (if they want to stay out longer), and would do the same with yours, so they get some outside time.

  • 86% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 90% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
