About: Aloha! I want to help you and your family member (dog/pet) feel less stressed about being away from each other! I noticed that every time I used a kennel service for our fur baby, our dog would get so scared, stress shed, nervous/anxiety, she would not eat, different times she caught kennel cough (which meant more vet bills), and our dog was definitely unhappy with the small kennel space surrounded by other upset loud barking pups/dogs/animals! I believe I can help your dog/pet feel loved, safe, comfortable, fed, clean, exercised, washed (optional), fun/waggy tails, like family, when you are away. My name is Michelle. I love animals! We have a small dog, bunny and fish! I used to volunteer at SPCA and Paw-sitive (Non profit, walk, groom, and feed stray dogs until they got adopted). I have housesit/housesat and dogsit/catsit/ bird and turtles-sat for friends and was suggested to extend my love on ROVER! (Side note: My husband goes to work during the day.I recently changed our schedule to homeschooling. My 2 kids are used to me caring, playing, and walking other dogs. They loves animals as well. We moved here to Milford, Cincinnati from Hawaii. Ive taught them, and we all have experience caring for animals, see pictures). I have went out of the way to teach , show and guide my children to be gentle, slow approaching/no sudden movements, no chasing, be responsible, ask before pet, be aware and careful around animals. I want to help other families feel comfortable and confident to leave their pet with me. We have our Covid shots and boosters. I am home everyday (except 3-4hours out of the house now and then for groceries or friends farm, or kids play dates). I keep my distance from crowds, we sanitize, and wash our hands frequently. I clean the house and wipe everything all the time. We got a new Hoover carpet wash, and our dog is up to date with shots! Your pet is safe and will be treated like royalty, pampered, loved like our pup/family! I have owned dogs most my life (had my first pup with the responsibilities at 6 years old, and owned/fostered animals for 33 years after) taking care of puppies, adults and senior dogs (a pit bull, a Pekingese, Shih Tzu , then fostered a German Shepard, a Poodle, a black pup Lab), Taken cared of a Golden Retriever, a Pitbull, bulldogs, Soft- wheat Terriers, birds, hamsters, turtles, a class pet guinea pig, and cared for friends cats too (see photos). Yes, I have a small dog but our house is big enough to have another dog/cat/pet around (I can gate, and keep my dog separate if need). Your pet will be taken out for a run or walk at least 4x a day (usually 4-8 times with pictures)! Schedule: I take your/our dog out first thing in the morning, lunch, then around 3-4pm around/after dinner time , and right before bedtime too ( update you with photos)! I will spend time with your dog/pet. I will sit with, read to, massage, comb, feed and pet (constantly check on, if they don’t want to be disturbed)! Even while I read to my child, homeschool or while we watch tv at night. I have taught my children not jump around, not rush, nor scare animals. And my dog will be gated, separated, away from your dog/pet when we are out and when requested. I left my 911 emergency call taking position to be a stay at home mother. I would love to care for, walk, play, cuddle with your dog and take your dog to the park with us too ! *** ONLY DOGS UNDER 35lbs at this time. Thank you*** I have a lot of room, space, toys, pillows, blankets for your pup/dog/pet (separated away from our dog), open concept spacious house, and animal-friendly neighborhood. I live in a cul-de-sac with extremely caring sweet neighbors that know me/us. Several families around us have animals of their own and I know most dogs have been trained or gone thru training as well as ours. I will text or email you pictures and FaceTime your dog/pet too if you like. Your dog/pet is unique and special to you so I will do my best to help. I will keep your dog/pet on a leash every time we go outside, so they don't go missing or let other dogs bother them. (Off leash free to run roam inside the house and I have a mini tread mill if outside walks and inside play is not enough). Our dog is up to date with all shots, vet visits, and takes medication for tick/flee, heart worms. We give our dog a shower once every other week and when she gets muddy. I can help clean your dog/pet too, let us know!

About: I’ve grown up in a multi-pet household and currently care for three dogs and a cat full-time, so I’m very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines. From a young age, I’ve had hands-on experience caring for animals, including pet sitting for neighbors starting at 14. I have experience with a variety of feeding needs, including strict schedules, portion control, and working with food-motivated dogs (including using slow feeders when needed). I’ve also prepared homemade dog food, so I understand the importance of proper nutrition and consistency in a pet’s diet. I’m comfortable administering medications, including insulin, eye drops, and oral tablets, and I take care to follow instructions closely to ensure your pet’s health and safety. In addition, I regularly handle daily care tasks like walking dogs, cleaning up after them, and maintaining litter boxes. I’m used to keeping pets on a consistent routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I’m also attentive to changes in behavior and will always prioritize your pet’s well-being. You can expect reliable care, clear communication, and plenty of updates so you feel confident your pet is in good hands. My schedule is very flexible over the summer, as I’ll only be working part-time, which allows me to provide consistent and attentive care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and extended visits throughout the day. In the fall, I’ll be starting graduate school, so my availability may be a bit more limited. However, I still plan to offer pet care and will keep my calendar updated to reflect my schedule. I’m happy to work with you to find times that meet your pet’s needs! When caring for pets in your home, I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and familiar environment so your pet feels comfortable while you’re away. I understand how important it is to maintain your pet’s routine, and I will follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and any specific needs. I take safety seriously during walks and visits, ensuring pets are secure on leashes, aware of their surroundings, and kept away from potential hazards. I’m also attentive to changes in behavior or health and will communicate any concerns right away. Respecting your home is just as important to me as caring for your pet. I make sure to keep your space clean, lock doors and windows, and treat your home with the same care and responsibility as I would my own. You can expect clear communication, regular updates, and photos so you feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

About: I have experience with a variety of animals from dogs and cats to horses, birds, and reptiles. These have been my own pets or others' pets. I've helped with puppy care and senior dog care. I am a mental health therapist. I have my own private practice, so I have great flexibility. I don't work on Saturday or Sunday. Those days I am open. I have a fenced in backyard for my 2 dogs. Inside the house they have plenty of space to roam, play and relax. They get walks and see their favorite vet when needed.

About: Pets don't need much to be happy. Most are content with some peanut butter for dogs, or maybe a treat for the kittens! We all know that a little patients goes a long way, and we don't always have to understand to be able to help, and give good happy lives :) I'm here to help! Right now I'm fully available. Please consider me a full time pet manager, and I mean I'll walk! I'll talk! And I'll adapt to whatever it is you need done! I care for pets with the focus on maintaining consistency for the pets. So whatever the owner wants. It's important to lay it all out, and allow for small errors on all sides, and later we will build everything we need to succeed and give vitality to the pets!

About: I grew up on a dairy farm and have always had cats and dogs around. My kids are excited to learn some responsibility through animal care along with my supervision and spend time with dogs. Recently retired from corporate world and children expressed interest in dog walking/boarding. Good opportunity to walk and teach children lessons in pet care while spending time bonding with dogs. We have a fully fenced backyard in addition to a bonus room that the animal would stay in while boarded. My children and I would show a lot of care and attention to your pet.

About: I’m a 19 year old college student attending Indiana University, studying business. I have experience with taking care of both cats and dogs. Currently I have an energetic beagle and two cats whom I care for. I am great for long walks or even runs with your dogs, and I am well versed with handling cats. I am fortunate to not have any time constraints and am available to help out during the day and early mornings. I am however uncomfortable with late nights. I cannot host pets at my house since I have pets of my own. I can care for your pets at your house and do not mind having them in my car if they want to go to the dog park or a specific park to play.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats for around 8 years! From neighbors, family friends and to friends of family I've watched a variety of different pets in age and size! I enjoy spending quality time with dogs and cats and giving them love while their owners are away. I'm currently a college student home for the summer! While on breaks back at home, I'm more flexible with availability and timing! My schedule is pretty open just depends on my schedule for the week based on my job! I can almost always squeeze in time to make it work for you based on what you need! About: As a rising third-year veterinary student at the University of Illinois, I bring both professional training and genuine love for animals to every pet I care for. Through my veterinary education and hands-on clinical experience, I have worked with animals of many breeds, sizes, ages, energy levels, and temperaments—including shy, anxious, high-energy, and senior pets. My experience has taught me how to safely handle animals, recognize signs of stress or illness, and adapt my approach to each pet’s individual personality and needs. Whether your pet loves playtime and attention or prefers a calmer, quieter environment, I strive to make them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and have experience with feeding routines, medications, and providing patient, attentive care. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone dependable, communicative, and trustworthy, and I take that responsibility seriously. I will care for your pet as if they were my own and keep you updated so you can feel confident they are in good hands. My schedule is very flexible this summer! I am currently working part-time and participating in some veterinary shadowing experiences, but outside of that I have wide availability for pet care. I am available most weekends and have flexibility throughout the week, especially during mornings and evenings. I’m happy to work with owners to find times that best fit their pet’s routine and needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. As a veterinary student, I have experience recognizing signs of stress, illness, and discomfort in animals and understand the importance of careful, attentive care. I strive to create a calm and positive environment for every pet while respecting their normal routines and boundaries. I know how important trust is when someone else is caring for your pet, so I will always communicate clearly, provide updates, and treat your pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra patience, I am committed to making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Miamiville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Miamiville.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Miamiville. On Rover:

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
