About: I teach kindergarten. I am endlessly patient, I am tidy, I am a mom of four grown kids, I have my own pets, have rescued (people and pets) and have taken care of them. I also love plants and gardens and will attend to those as a side bonus! Pets, plants, and children are my favorites! I am a teacher. I am gone from 7-4 on weekdays. On weekends, I'm available! I am willing to stay overnight or just stop by to play and relieve your baby! I am willing to come to your house and take care of your pets. I don't mind staying overnight, or just spending some time with them during the day.

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs since I’ve been 14 years old. I’ve had experience with dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes! I have a passion for animals and love to make them feel part of my family. I’m currently in respiratory school while working a part-time job, which has helped me develop strong responsibility and time-management skills. I’ve always loved animals and enjoy caring for them whenever I can. With a flexible schedule, I’m able to provide reliable, attentive care and give your pets the time and attention they deserve. I accept cats and dogs that are able to stay in the comfort of their own homes. Jennifer is the BEST! I have been looking for someone to really tire out my puppy. She is little with little legs and some people take that to mean a 10 minute walk is sufficient. But I don’t just need her to pee and poop, I need to exercise her brain, and Jennifer gets that. I have been coming home to a happy well exercised pup! Her communication is excellent and I get to see how much fun Betty is having through pictures!

About: We are a pet-friendly home with one cat, two older kids who love dogs and all animals, and myself who will take gentle care of your dog/s, as well as cats, and/or all other animals while you are away. No type of animal (unless aggressive) will likely be turned away. I have loved and cared for my own pet dogs, cats, birds, and other critters my entire life, and I know and understand that you are trusting me to care for a member of your family. We do not take this responsibility lightly. In addition to several years of pet care, I have also had experience and training with professional bathing and grooming of dogs and cats, and caring for special-needs animals, including puppies, kittens, elderly dogs and cats including those with arthritis and diabetes, administering medicine, and giving injections and subcutaneous fluids. Our home is relaxed and open, with "safe spaces" where we can keep your pet if they want or need their own room. We live in a friendly, calm neighborhood, great for dog-walking, and we love to go for walks and play! I work from home and have a very flexible schedule in order to accommodate your needs and I look forward to working with you and giving your special loved ones the care that they want, need, and deserve.

About: For over 15 years, I've dedicated myself to fostering dogs, gaining extensive experience with all breeds, large and small. My passion lies in building trust and genuine relationships with each individual dog, understanding that every pup needs unique attention and companionship. I've supported countless dogs through challenging times, including post-surgical recovery for puppies and severe medical conditions, always offering unwavering love. I view dogs as cherished members of the family who look to me for care and guidance. Their safety is paramount; I'm always prepared to protect my pups, even if it means putting myself at risk At the moment I am a behavioral technician dog dad. I take care autistic children and care for any pups when ever you need me. I have a fenced in backyard for your dog to play and one dog of my own to keep them company. The dogs are allowed to relax wherever they like, especially the couch!

As of August 2026, there are 314 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Merrill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Merrill. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Merrill.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Merrill. On Rover:

  • 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
