“Allie was an excellent sitter for my 2 year old German Shepherd Dog Hero! She was attentive to his needs, took him on regular walks multiple times a day, walked him to the Dog park down the road and let him run and play, and sent me regular updates and photos of their time together. Allie is detail oriented and will follow instructions to the letter. Her and Hero played so hard while she dog/house sat with one of his favorite toys that the squeaker broke out of it and she went out of her way to buy him a close replacement for it as well as a bag of treats which she absolutely didnt have to do but Hero and I appreciated very much! I would highly recommend Allie's services to anyone looking for a pet sitter. I was uneasy at first having a stranger stay at my home to watch my dog, but after seeing how comfortable Hero was around her within minutes of meeting her it gave me some peace of mind and Allie is absolutely worthy of trust and your business. Thanks for all you did for Hero and I Allie and I wish you nothing but the best I'll definitely be in contact next time I need someone to help with Hero!”

“Rylinn took great care of our dogs! She even watered our plants, brought in mail and washed sheets and towels. I couldn't even tell she was there. I would highly recommend her for your pet care needs!”

“Kyla was awesome and my dogs absolutely loved her! She spoiled the heck out of them - in the best way, and made sure they were well taken care of while I was out of town. Would 100% recommend and use her again.”

“Kate was an absolute gem! My pups loved her and she helped me in a pinch situation. Kate provided Excellent communication and ongoing pictures and videos. We would use her again no question!”

“Chloe was phenomenal with our dogs - she watched them for a long weekend when we were out of town. Not only did she tax excellent care of our fur babies, she left the house in pristine condition - she went above and beyond what I requested - what a superstar!!!”

“Lori was so fantastic to have in my home and she did an amazing job with my puppy! It was incredible to get some time to go to an appointment and run errands while knowing my puppy was safe and having a good time. Lori sent updates and photos so I wouldn't be worried. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again in the future!”

About: With over two decades of hands-on experience caring for a variety of pets, my journey began at the tender age of 5 with our beloved family dog and a few feline companions. As I grew, so did my passion for animal care, leading me to care for hamsters and lizards. However, it was my uncle's venture into breeding English Mastiffs that truly ignited my interest. From the age of 11, I eagerly assisted in nurturing each litter, learning invaluable lessons in canine care and behavior. Throughout my college years, my love for animals never waned, and upon returning home, I welcomed Odin, my Siberian Husky, into my life. Now at 8 years young, Odin remains my loyal companion, finding pure joy in our woodland adventures. Drawing from my past experience, I decided to continue the legacy of responsible breeding, pairing Odin with a German Shepherd owned by my grandfather. This endeavor not only enriched my understanding of canine genetics but also brought joy to loving families who welcomed our pups into their homes. With a deep-rooted commitment to the well-being of animals, I offer a wealth of experience and genuine care to ensure every pet thrives under my watchful eye. Pet care is seamlessly integrated into my daily and weekly routine, ensuring that my furry companions receive the attention, care, and love they deserve. Each morning begins with a routine tailored to meet their needs. This typically involves feeding, grooming, and exercise, ensuring they start the day on the right paw. Throughout the day, I prioritize regular check-ins to ensure their well-being, providing companionship and engagement to keep them happy and stimulated. In the evenings, our routine transitions into winding down together, whether it's through leisurely walks, playtime, or simply lounging together at home. This dedicated time fosters our bond and allows for relaxation after a busy day. On a weekly basis, I carve out time for more extensive activities, such as longer walks or trips to the park, providing ample opportunities for exercise and exploration. Additionally, I schedule regular grooming sessions, veterinary appointments, and training sessions to ensure their physical and mental health is maintained. Moreover, as a responsible pet owner and caregiver, I allocate time for tasks such as cleaning their living environment, maintaining proper nutrition, and addressing any specific needs or concerns they may have. Overall, pet care isn't just a task on my to-do list; it's an integral part of my lifestyle and a source of joy, fulfillment, and companionship that enriches both my life and theirs. When caring for pets in my client's home, whether through pet sitting or dog walking services, I prioritize the well-being and happiness of their furry companions. For pet sitting, my approach involves creating a safe and comfortable environment for the pets while adhering to their usual routines as closely as possible. This includes feeding them according to their schedule, providing fresh water, administering any necessary medications, and ensuring they receive plenty of exercise and mental stimulation through playtime and interaction. I also maintain cleanliness by cleaning up after them and keeping their living area tidy. Additionally, I offer companionship and affection to alleviate any feelings of loneliness or anxiety while their owners are away. During dog walking sessions, I focus on providing engaging and enjoyable walks tailored to the dog's needs and energy level. I use proper leashes and harnesses for safety and pay attention to their behavior and surroundings to ensure a positive experience. I also incorporate activities such as fetching or sniffing to keep them mentally stimulated and satisfied. Throughout my time in the client's home, I maintain clear communication with the pet owners, providing updates and photos to keep them informed and reassured of their pet's well-being. Overall, whether it's pet sitting or dog walking, my approach is rooted in care, responsibility, and a genuine love for animals.
About: I have had dogs since I was little and love playing with them and taking care of them. I’m an athletic person so if the dog is in the mood to play, I can certainly be a great playmate! I have experience with dog sitting overnight, dog walking, and drop-in visits. I work at a nursing home, but I get to choose the shifts I pick up, so my schedule can be very flexible. I am looking for more pups to help out! I can provide overnight care at the owners home. While I am there, I make sure to take your dog for walks, play outside, and give lots of rubs and cuddles. As a person, I am very low maintenance, so you won’t have to provide hardly anything if come care for your pups overnight.
“AnnaClaire is outstanding 🩷 I could not recommend her more! She housesit and took care of my kitten for nearly two weeks while I was away. Every day she was consistently reliable, communicated often, and really took such great care of my kitten and house. She quickly became my kitty’s new best friend. I would trust her time and time again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Medina
Kyla watched our 4 dogs and 19 chickens while we went on vacation for a week! To start, she made a house visit ahead of our trip to meet the animals and get the lay of the land. She was amazing and provided updates and photos while we were away. She went above and beyond with caring for all of our animals and I know they were loved in hard while we were gone. If any questions/concerns came up, Kyla was sure to ask. She also kept the house clean and maintained. We would love to have her back in the future! 10/10 would recommend!

Kat did a wonderful job taking care of our two Frenchtons, Milo and Franklin while we were away on vacation. During our initial meet and greet, she asked thoughtful and thorough questions about their routines, personalities, and habits, which immediately made us feel comfortable entrusting our dogs to her care. While we were gone, Kat checked in twice a day and shared plenty of photos, giving us peace of mind and letting us know our boys were happy, comfortable, and in great hands. She was attentive, communicative, and clearly cared for them as if they were her own. She also left our home just as clean as we left it, which we greatly appreciated. We would absolutely book with Kat again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet sitter! She is great.

Kristen did a fantastic job with our two dogs while we were out of town for 5 days! She was very responsive to communication the entire time. We didn’t return to any accidents or messes we had to clean up which for us is a blessing as one of our dogs tends to have some potty issues when we are gone for an extended period. Usually our dogs are super excited to see us when we return- this time I think they were disappointed to see us and not to see Kristen!! Would definitely rebook ☺️

Avery is super friendly and was very attentive to our pets. It was our first time leaving our 10 week old puppy and our 6 month old kitten as well as our first experience with Rover. We were very pleased with the care Avery provided and would highly recommend them. The updates and pics throughout the day were the best!

Jennifer helped us so we could take our vacation with multiple visits during some nasty weather. I can't say enough about her diligence in making it out to our home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or rehire her she sent multiple pictures and dealt with unforseen events. Thank you Jennifer Tom and Eileen.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Medina walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Medina maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Medina choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Medina. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
