Hello! My name is AnnaClaire Lackney, and I’m a speech-language pathologist currently looking for weekend and before/after-school pet care opportunities. I genuinely enjoy animal companionship and treat every pet as if they were my own. Neighbors and friends have long relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their pets while they’re away. Living with roommates who owned dogs gave me daily, hands-on experience with dog care, and I cared for them with the same attentiveness and affection as my own pets. I grew up with two cats and recently adopted my own—Polly, my 3-year-old cat, who is truly my best friend, child, and favorite critter 😂. Through her, I’ve gained firsthand experience with feline routines, personalities, and care needs. I’m new to the Medina area and excited to meet you and your furry family members! I take great pride in being dependable, attentive, and communicative, and I always strive to provide loving, reliable care. AnnaClaire was so loving and caring for our 2 dogs d’Artagnan and Wrangler. I was recently in the hospital with pneumonia and home with complications. My husband was traveling so I had to find someone trustworthy quick. We interviewed AnnaClaire at our home and she is the PERFECT fit for our fur babies and gives us peace knowing we have AnnaClaire taking care here at our home. AnnaClaire was an amazing with our two dogs. She was extremely attentive to them, and took wonderful care of them. I plan on having her with our dogs again! Highly, highly recommended her for anyone looking for a dog sitter ❤️

AnnaClaire did a fantastic job caring for our pup! She asked good questions, made time to drop in and meet our dog beforehand, took our advice for walks, and kept her fed and happy. The house was in perfect condition when we came home. We'd gladly have AnnaClaire back anytime!
I always worry about my pets while away and this recent trip was a jam packed one. There was one day that went by before I could check in to see if everything was going smoothly since it was her first time with all 4 of our pets ( 2 cats and 2 dogs) , but AnnaClaire made it a point to update me and let me know that both the morning and evening routines for all of them went smoothly. She also sent me pics as well which I totally appreciated!

Schedule
I work school hours (8:30–3:30), allowing me to provide morning, afternoon, and evening care during the week, with added flexibility on weekends. I keep my Rover calendar updated as frequently as possible and prioritize clear communication so pet parents feel confident in their pet’s care.

I live in a very walkable neighborhood and can easily take dogs for walks in my area or yours, depending on what your pet is most comfortable with. For cats, I focus on providing calm, low-stress care in their home by maintaining their usual routines, including feeding, litter box care, playtime, and companionship. My goal is always to minimize stress for both pets and their owners, so I appreciate detailed instructions and follow them closely to ensure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
A typical day
Every pet has their own personality, so I tailor activities to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. For dogs, this may include walks, fetch, playtime, and enrichment games. For cats, it can look like interactive play, puzzle treats, window watching, or quiet companionship. I also make plenty of time for cuddles and calm connection, ensuring each pet feels loved, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away.
