I’ve had some experience caring for dogs while babysitting as well and have been with the Rover community for a few months now. I’ll make sure your fur baby gets plenty of love and belly rubs! I’m currently working part-time and since it’s summer time, I am not in school so I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I have two puppers at home! They are taken on walks, bathed when needed, and fed twice a day. Of course there are lots of pets and snuggles involved!
About: I’ve always had a pet my whole life. From going on walks, to doing their nail trims. I’m very familiar with how to keep dogs happy! I would love to get to play with a pet after a work shift! Willing to make time on my days off as well . I can keep pets in crate if needed, take them out when needed and make sure they have a great time while they’re with me!
About: I’ve cared for dogs throughout my life and have experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, and energy levels. As an owner of an energetic German Shorthaired Pointer, I’m especially comfortable with dogs that require lots of exercise and mental stimulation. I’m comfortable: * Administering oral medications * Caring for senior dogs with special routines * Managing high-energy breeds * Following detailed care instructions * Safely introducing and separating dogs when needed * Providing individualized attention based on each dog’s personality and needs My goal is to give every dog a safe, fun, and relaxing stay while giving owners peace of mind through excellent communication and dependable care. I work from home full time, so your dog won’t be left alone for long periods. This allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, supervised outdoor play, regular exercise, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day. I do my best to maintain your dog’s normal routine, including feeding times, walks, medications, and bedtime schedule, to help them feel comfortable and at home. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. My home offers nearly an acre of securely fenced outdoor space where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under supervision. As the owner of an energetic German Shorthaired Pointer, I’m experienced with high-energy breeds and understand the importance of exercise, structure, and mental stimulation. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and carefully following any special care instructions. If needed, I can safely separate dogs during meals, rest time, or throughout their stay to ensure everyone is comfortable. I treat every dog like a member of my own family and provide regular photo and video updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. From age 18 to present day I’ve always had a dog so I am well adverse in reading their body language and understanding their needs. I have a job that allows me to customize my schedule so I am capable of making a schedule to fit your animals needs whether it be day or night! Personally I feed my dog according to his feeding schedule and look for signs that he needs to go outside to use the bathroom. If your dog or cat requires a specific diet and time for feeding, I’ll be more than happy to follow the guidelines that you have set to ensure your animals are happy and healthy. As far as potty breaks go, I will use a leash for your dog if there’s not a gated area for them to use the bathroom, if they use pee-pads or litter I have no problem handling that either.
About: My name is Hannah, but I go by Mikki. I have had pets since I was 15 years old and they have ranged from cats, dogs, and the exotic! I have a serious love for all the different types of fur-babies and am a proud pet parent myself! I’m the purrfect fit if you love someone enthusiastic about animals and their care, someone who is strict with rules and restrictions, and someone who is flexible! I have worked in a pet boarding type facility in the past and carry much experience wrangling dogs of all sizes and in all group sizes, with all different types of personalities. I also have a dog and cat myself. My daily schedule involves me waking up and letting my dog out while preparing their breakfast. After they eat, we get some snuggles in until it’s time to go potty. Later on, it time for dinner and then a nightly walk 30 minutes to an hour after dinner has been served. That ends our adventure for the day! For Drop-Ins: I stop by for feedings and enrichment for between 30 minutes to an hour. I make sure they care squared away and everything is locked up before I leave. For Walks: It’s simple … we just go for walks. 30 minutes to an hour or whatever set path and time per appointment. For House-Sitting: I set a time for me to come over. I stay for the duration of the appointment set and bring my own necessities so that I don’t have to leave the premises. I stay within your home, where your babies are most comfortable, and provide them with company and a set schedule. Before I confirm a booking, I will ALWAYS set up a meet-and-greet. I need to be able to sit down with the fur-babies and parents so we can get a good view of the vibes and to see if I would be a good fit. These meet-and-greets are NOT OPTIONAL and refusal will result in a CANCELED BOOKING! Sitting should be a comfortable experience for pet, pet parent, and sitter. Checking the vibes and getting details is critical for success.

I’m a super active dog owner that loves to get outdoors! While taking care of your pup they would be treated like my own. I want to give pet parents the piece of mind that their pup is happy and well cared for! I’m very open with communication to make sure everything goes smoothly while in my care. I have my own schedule with being a dog trainer. I dedicate most of my time to dogs/animals. This is my full time job and can always be available. About: I worked in the vet industry since I was about 17 years old as a veterinary technician. I found another full time job in the healthcare industry in Cancer research about a year and a half ago. But I still kept my veterinary job until recently. I left the vet industry to open up my availability to be around animals in a more intimate way such as dog walking, house sitting, etc. I am experienced with most animals since I grew up with a lot of my own. Over the years my family has owned ducks, chickens, horses, chinchillas, cats, sugar gliders, dogs, bearded dragons, geckos, rabbits, cows and guinea pigs so I am experienced with several different types of animals! I’m currently working full time but I have a work from home job that is flexible so I am able to bring my laptop and work phone. I go in office to work in Nashville a 1 day out of the week but I can always change the days around so I am very flexible! I know pet safety so I will keep a dog on the leash at all times unless there is a fence to put them in. Also if I need to bring any animals to my house I have a crate I can keep them in. I have a yard with a fence that I would watch them under my direct supervision at all times.

I can also be available on some Wednesday’s and holidays I’m open to any times I will care for your pet as if they are my own fur baby and will provide what is needed to take the best care of your pet
About: Hello! I have grown up with animals all my life. I am very much a dog person and love them like my own family. My favorite part is playing with them so that they sleep super soundly at night. I know how to teach your dog some tricks and show them a lot of love. I am extremely patient and have taught several dogs to be housebroken and how to sit, shake, and lay down. I have been dog sitting for others for a little over 6 years now. I am very confident in my abilities with dogs and how to handle them. I have been around them my whole life and know how important they are to everyone’s lives if cared for properly. I do currently work full time and am currently studying to take my Boards to become a licensed physical therapist. I am able to do mid day potty breaks if close enough to my work. Otherwise, I will make sure that your pet is well taken care of in the morning and evenings. I care for each dog/pet as if they were my own. I will love them, care for them, and tend to their needs as if they are my own family. I want to make every dog feel extremely loved through all the petting and playing that they can imagine and want.
About: Hi! I love all kinds of animals and I look forward to helping you when you need to trust someone to take care of your pets while you are away. I currently have 2 indoor/outdoor dogs, and 5 (yes, 5!) indoor cats. I do have a part time job I work at from 3 pm to 11 pm on Sundays and Mondays. I always ask for a meet and greet before booking any bookings, except for same day bookings, and this would be a time where you let me know if you have any cost constraints. I do have a job working two days out of the week, but I have an amazing friend who works with me for pet care needed when I am working for the 16 hours a week. Let us help you by taking a little work and worry off your shoulders! I have 10+ acres ready for some exploring! I also have some outdoor toys to entertain the playful babies. I have two playful pups that are always down for company. I can crate your pet if needed.
“Melanie took excellent care of our two puppies. They got a good walk and she played with them. She is dependable and trustworthy. She will always be our trusted caregiver when we are away.”
About: I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, horses, you name it. Animals are underrated as members of the family in my opinion and I just want to make sure any animal in my care is treated like family. I take care of my animals (two dogs and a kitty cat) daily and they have a pretty set routine, I would be working my schedule around their routine and working on my days off. I’m happy to drop in and check on your babies and give them love and attention on long work days. I know how stressful it is to be at work knowing your baby is alone at home and I’m happy to help!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
