About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my deep dedication to providing personalized care tailored to each pet's needs. I have hands-on experience caring for a variety of pets, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra attention and patience. I excel at establishing a safe, nurturing environment that helps pets feel comfortable and loved in their owners' absence. Beyond standard pet care, I bring exceptional attention to detail, ensuring pets maintain their routines, whether it's administering medication, feeding on a precise schedule, or providing stimulating activities to keep them happy and healthy. What truly makes my services unique is that I view pet care as not just a job but an opportunity to serve the community. As a mother of two teenagers, I involve my children in learning how to responsibly care for animals under my guidance. This helps them understand the value of compassion, empathy, and giving back to others by treating pets with the same love and respect we would our own family members. Together, we aim to provide peace of mind to pet owners by treating their furry family members as our own. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily and weekly routine. As someone who juggles multiple responsibilities, I prioritize creating a structured schedule that allows me to provide attentive, consistent care to the pets I look after. Each day, I plan my tasks around the specific needs of the pets in my care, ensuring their feeding, walks, playtime, and any special requirements—like medication or grooming—are handled on time. My flexibility and time-management skills allow me to accommodate even last-minute requests, providing peace of mind to pet owners with busy lives. Incorporating pet care into my routine has also been an invaluable way to teach my children about responsibility and compassion. They often assist me with simple tasks under my supervision, giving them a sense of community involvement while allowing me to maintain a high standard of care for each pet. This integration of pet care into my daily life isn’t just a responsibility—it’s a passion that aligns perfectly with my desire to make a positive impact on both pets and their owners. Caring for pets in their own homes is a responsibility I take very seriously. I strive to provide a seamless experience that maintains the pet’s usual routine and ensures their comfort and safety in a familiar environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I begin by thoroughly understanding their specific needs, including feeding schedules, exercise preferences, playtime activities, and any medical or behavioral requirements. I ensure that every detail is followed precisely to keep pets happy and stress-free. During each visit, I prioritize interactive care, whether that’s engaging in their favorite games, taking them for walks, or simply providing companionship. For pets requiring additional attention, such as seniors or those with special needs, I bring patience and care to ensure they remain calm and comfortable. I also treat my clients’ homes with the utmost respect. I maintain a clean and organized space, follow any provided instructions, and ensure the home is secure when I leave. My goal is to not only care for the pets but also provide peace of mind to their owners, knowing their furry family members and home are in trusted hands.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is the genuine care and attention I bring to every dog I meet. As the neighborhood Dog Uncle, I take pride in giving each pet personalized care that fits their specific needs—whether it’s an energetic puppy who needs structure and play, or a senior dog who needs patience, comfort, and a slower pace. For 19 years, I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I always prioritize their safety, routine, and overall happiness. I pay close attention to the small details—feeding schedules, medications, behavior, energy levels—because the little things are what keep dogs healthy and feeling secure while their owners are away. Pet care isn’t just a service for me; it’s part of my lifestyle and part of how I give back. As a father of two teenagers, I make sure they learn the same values I live by: compassion, responsibility, and respect for animals. Under my guidance, they see what it means to treat every pet like family. When you book with me, you’re not just getting a sitter—you’re getting a Dog Uncle who treats your dog with the same love, structure, and attention I show my own. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and to make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. Dog sitting fits naturally into my daily routine because caring for dogs is already part of my lifestyle—I have my own and understand their needs. I’m a 20-year union ironworker, and during seasonal layoffs I have a completely open and flexible schedule, allowing me to devote full attention to every pup in my care. I have a secure kennel setup in my backyard and two friendly, well-socialized dogs to keep your pup company. Crating is available anytime if needed. Inside, we have a comfortable play area for safe, supervised fun. My neighborhood also offers parks, bike paths, and scenic trails along the Connecticut River—perfect for walks, exercise, and outdoor enrichment.

About: Hi, I’m Adara! I am a student at Smith College, where I study pre-veterinary medicine. I also work as a learning veterinary technician in a clinic. I have previously worked in a daycare and boarding facility, where I was in charge of many dogs during daycare, and I also fed and gave medication to those staying overnight. I have grown up with dogs, and I currently have a golden retriever of my own. I understand the care and attention they need, and would be happy to share my love for animals with them! I go back to college September 3rd, and my classes are Monday-Thursday all day and one class from 10am - 12:30pm on Friday. I am not accepting ongoing weekly requests due to my college schedule, but please feel free to reach out and see my availability on a certain day! I am very good with bathroom breaks, playing, little treats (if allowed!), and keeping them busy. I also have a lot of experience with giving medications, if that’s necessary. I can crate as well, with boarding I have lots of experience doing so.

McKnight dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kim was absolutely fantastic with my dog, Banner! He can be a little shy at first, but he warmed up to her quickly, which says a lot. She arrived right on time and stayed for the full duration of the booking. She took Banner on a fun walk around the neighborhood, and he was so happy when they got back—he had the zoomies in the backyard! Kim was also super flexible with my schedule and kept in great communication the whole time. I already have her booked for an upcoming stay and feel totally at ease knowing Banner is in good hands. Thanks so much Kim!
