I love dogs
I am an elementary physical education teacher who plays a lot of sports and loves to hang out with friends and family. I love playing and taking care of dogs. When I was younger I first started to dog sit for a few friends when they go out of town for the week/weekend, but now I enjoy giving all of my free time an attention to dogs. I love to run with dogs and play with them in the yard or at parks and see the smile on their face when they are playing with their toys! I am flexible with cancellations and any specific requests you have. Reach out if you have any questions! I would love to give your dog a mini vacation!!!!

Dereck did a great job with our 2 dogs. He is a very good communicator, he's punctual, and our dogs love him! He sent some great pictures and videos so we were able to see what good hands they were in (they had so much fun!). We will definitely have him care for our pups again and we highly recommend him!
Derek was amazing taking care of my gsd. He made sure to my shepherd was comfortable with many toys and activities and shared many photos and videos throughout the stay. He was also very accommodating to changes in my travel plans including drop-off and pick-up times. Would definitely recommend Dereck and trust him with my gsd next time!

Dereck did a phenomenal job with Duke, my 15-month old pit bull/terrier mix! He is easy to schedule with and does well with my energy ball of a pup! If you’re looking for a responsible, responsive sitter, Dereck is your guy. I’ll be booking him again!
Dereck has consistently watched, walked and cared for my black lab Brandi for years! Dereck is incredibly polite, respectful and thoughtful when caring for my dog and I would highly recommend utilizing his services. His ability to actively communicate makes me feel secure in how he’s treating my furry friend! Dereck loves dogs and has plenty of experience, as I have recommended him to friends, time and again. Beyond all, Dereck thoroughly enjoys spending time with dogs, whether it be a romp around the park or a brief feeding. Do not hesitate, you won’t be disappointed! :)

I am a very active person who likes to keep busy. I work during the week and are free in the early morning and afternoon.

I am comfortable in new settings and can keep routines and rules that are had in the house. I can slowly build trust with the dog and have them find their comfort with me!

A typical day
I love to run and play with dogs. Fetch and hide&seek are some of my favorite activities. On walks I love to take in views and allow the dog to explore new places, parks, and people (if accepted by owner)
