“Gabriel was wonderful with our 2 cats. Our cats opened up to him despite them not being big fans of strangers. He was on time for every visit and followed our instructions perfectly. Provided great daily updates. We would definitely reach out to him again the next time we need a sitter.”

“Samiah did a wonderful job taking care of Snow. She was very attentive, reliable, and kept us updated during our time away. We came home to a happy, well cared for dog and a clean home, which gave us great peace of mind. We’re very thankful for all her help and would gladly book with her again. Highly recommend! 🐶💕”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals my whole life. Growing up, I raised and cared for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and rabbits through 4-H, which gave me hands-on experience with animals of all kinds. I also volunteered at the Napa Animal Shelter, where I helped care for animals and learned the importance of patience, safety, and compassion. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors, including feeding, walking, playing with, and checking in on their pets while they were away. I’ve also fostered kittens, which gave me experience caring for young animals and paying close attention to their individual needs. I currently have two dogs and four cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away !!! Caring for animals isn’t just something I enjoy, it's what I’ve chosen to dedicate my time to. Because pet care is my primary focus, I have a flexible schedule and can provide reliable care throughout the week. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own, stick to their routine, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident they’re in good hands. With years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages and personalities, I understand that trust is everything. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra patience, I’ll provide calm, compassionate care while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. I’ll treat both your home and your pets with the same respect and care I’d expect for my own, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout every visit !!
“When Nicoletta is taking care of my animals I don’t worry. She is capable, dependable and really loves animals. She sends pics and gives updates and puts my mind at ease!”

“Tiffany took great care of our guinea pig and fish while we were out of town for a week during the holidays. She is an amazing petsitter and went above and beyond the care we were hoping for. Our guinea pig had last minute health issues, and Tiffany took on extra medication administration as well as wound care. She did an amazing job, and we can’t thank her enough.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. I first started fostering puppies and kitten at the age of 12. I am new to Rover but I have extensive hands on experience, including working for two years at small animal hospital and volunteering at local animal shelter. Currently, I am continuing my education in Veterinary Medicine during my undergrad, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Veterinarian. I treat every pet as if they were my own, prioritizing their safety, comfort and well-being. Right now, I’m currently out for summer break. This gives me the flexibility to cater to your pets, ensuring all of their needs are met! House sitting servicies includes staying overnight with your pet so that they have confort and company in their own home. I’d be around for daytime care aswell for potty breaks every 4-6 hours, meals, playtime and of course cuddles! 30 minute walks include a fun stroll through the neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pet some exercise, mental stimulation and a breath of fresh air!
“Ryan did a great job communicating when he was running late and really spoiled my dog with a walk and pets. I really appreciate the care he showed him and would definitely book him again.”

We always seek to find a routine so as to calm any boredom or stress throughout each day! We play, take walks, hang out in the grass yard / property, and go on 1-3 miles hikes in the local area! I love to spoil every dog I have the pleasure to be around, take scenic walks, and of course taking lots and lots of pictures. About: I have took care of my families and friends pets for the last couple years, I have experience in senior care for a senior dog who gets seizures while also taking care of 3 outdoor cats. Pet care fits perfect in my daily and weekly schedule, I only have a part time right now so I have a lot of time on my hand that can go to your fur babies. I believe making sure there are no safety hazards and keeping the door closed around the house first is very essential in a safe environment for dog/cat sitting. As well as being attentive to the pets.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 4,736 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across McGill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in McGill. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
