About: I will never miss a chance to take a dog on a walk to doing a simple task like pets on the head. Usually you'll find me playing with the cat or dog when I'm by myself with the animal because they keep me company. I have several years of experience with hyper dogs or dogs who are more active so I know I can keep up with those breeds like golden retrievers or huskies. If that doesnt work a more quiet and less hyper active breed of cat or dog is fine with me. I can kind of doing everything when taking care of animals. I've had animals of all ages and most recently on the older side. I have a full time job so my schedule is pretty much set, sometimes it can vary week to week. Outside of work I dont have much going on so my free time can go towards being a sitter. Always keeping an eye on them is key and depending on the breed can require more attention. I also have some knowledge in animal cpr.

As a Registered Nurse, I bring a high level of clinical observation, assessment, calmness, and safety to my pet care. I also worked part-time in a veterinary practice earlier in my career, giving me a solid foundation in animal handling and wellness. I have much experience with my own pets past & present whom I have provided post-surgical care, administered medications & administered insulin injections. I have also administered subcutaneous IV fluids for several of my elderly cats in renal failure. I have loved all of my pets over the years, which included dogs, cats & guinea pigs! You can trust me with your dogs, cats or small animals. I’m currently retired with plans to work PT in 2027. For now I am “ free” to devote my time to your pets as needed. I have a very gentle & friendly rescued Beagle/ Foxhound who enjoys running & romping with playmates in my large fully fenced yard. I have a friendly, funny, curious 2 y/o tabby cat & a curmudgeon 17 y/o Tortie cat who sticks to herself mostly or lounges on her “Thrones” & observes her domain! If boarding, your pets can have relaxed free rein, including resting on furniture. In caring for your pets in your home, I will be respectful, honor your instructions & give affectionate, detail oriented, safe care.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have been caring for them since I was 9. I have experience with all kinds of personalities, from easygoing dogs to more high-maintenance pets. I grew up with a Labrador/Mastiff mix and now have an older Beagle, two Golden Retrievers, and two cats. So I’m comfortable caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities! I’m currently a junior biology student at RMC and plan to pursue veterinary medicine. I’ve also worked as a kennel technician at a boarding facility for 3 years, where I cared for a variety of dogs and cats and learned how to recognize changes in behavior and health, prevent stressful situations, and safely handle different personalities. I’m trained in giving pill and oral medications as well as applying topical medications such as ointments, oils, and sprays. I understand how important it is for medications to be given correctly and on time, especially for pets who rely on medications for conditions like heart or seizure issues. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, stimulation, and lots of care based on their individual needs. I’m currently a college student at RMC, so my weekday availability depends on my class schedule. My classes are Mondays from 9:10 AM–4:30 PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00–9:30 AM, 1:20–2:50 PM, and 4:00–5:00 PM, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:10 AM–12:20 PM. I’m best available for house sitting on weekends. During the weekdays, I’m available for cat clients and dogs who don’t need consistent potty breaks throughout the day. I can stay at your home once I’m finished with classes for the day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I can also stop by for a 1–2 hour period after 9:30 AM. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. With 3 years of experience as a kennel technician, I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. I follow your instructions closely and make sure pets receive their meals, medications, exercise, and attention as requested. For house sitting, I’ll treat your home with the same respect I would my own and keep you updated while you’re away. I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident while they’re in my care.

About: I have had animals of my own since I can remember. I worked at a shelter (mainly bigger breeds - but all were welcomed) for 3 years. I love working with and helping all animals. I currently only do online schooling so any and all free time I have, I would love to spend it with your beautiful fur babies! I can train your pup as needed and make sure they receive the best possible care. I can also do any bathing that should need done. For the kitties, I will provide any care they may need, to include cleaning out litter boxes, washing food/water containers, feeding, playing with them and nail clipping if needed!

“This was our first time using Rover. Riley was helpful in explaining how it worked. She watched our cat for several visits for two days. For each visit she sent information on how the visit went. Unfortunately our kitty would run and hide after greeting her so she couldn’t get many pictures. She even went and found him and sat trying to convince him to come out! He ate well during her visits and she was kind to clean up the dirty cat bowls each time! It’s also very comforting knowing Riley has experience working in a vet clinic.”

About: Hi there! I have 7 years of pet sitting experience along with taking care of my own animals throughout my life. I have the most experience with dogs, cats, and birds (though I’m no stranger to farm animals). I love being outdoors and staying active, so I’m always happy to go on walks, play outside, and keep pets engaged and comfortable. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and I always do my best to ensure that they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I work Monday-Thursday 7-5 which means that I am available before and after work and have open days Friday-Sunday. In some cases I’m able to be available during lunch time depending on the proximity of the pet to my workplace. I have a fenced in backyard and live right next to a track for plenty of running/walking time for your pet. I try to stick to the routine of the pet that I’m taking care of so that they aren’t experiencing too much change while their owner is away!

About: I’ve had pets nearly my whole life and have been known to struggle to walk past an animal in need. This means rescuing an injured squirrel, a Cooper’s hawk, an opossum, and more, going the extra mile even when it was deeply inconvenient for me to do so. I also grew up attending zoo camp and then volunteering at a zoo from age 5 to 14, caring for a wide range of animals. I have worked with high energy pitties, a blind and anxious German shepherd, birds, cuddly kitties, fearful kitties, diabetic kitties, rabbits, and others. I have administered shots, IVs, medications, eye drops, and more. I am persistent and typically can win over even the shyest and most anxious fur baby. I have a genuine love for caring for pets and would be honored to care for yours! I am currently carefully thinking about my next full time role and working part time. My partner is an immigrant seeking employment during a time when that is extremely difficult due to the political situation. Any supplemental income is incredibly helpful for me as we navigate. About: Hi there! My name is Sam and I have experience sitting for all types of animals. From cuddly Pyrenees, and scary-smart German pinschers, to spunky chinchillas, their best cat friends, and curious pythons. I have been through partial behavioral training for dogs (and their humans), and have experience with animal hospice situations, as well as behaviorally aggressive dogs. I prefer to keep the animal's care as consistent as possible. The more details you have of your preferred method of walking, reward, or preparation habits, the better. Trust and care are my number one goals when it comes to animal sitting. Not just with the four legged babies, but with the parents as well. I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your care provider, and what a treat it is to know that you can trust someone with the care of your loved ones. Also, aren't dogs just perfect? I work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and am currently on telework, so my weekly availability is early morning, and late afternoon. I also volunteer at the Old Dominion Humaine Society and occasionally foster for them at my house. I have one <1 year old puppy, and I have a home with a large yard but no fence. That means all foster dogs get leash walked always and there are many mind teaser toys for rainy days. I feed in crates and make it a safe space for them to decompress.
