I have always held a deep affinity and bonding affection for animals, and my primary goal is to provide a seamless, stress-free environment for them while you are away. As a Registered Nurse, I bring a high level of clinical observation, assessment, calmness, and safety to my pet care. I also worked part-time in a veterinary practice earlier in my career, giving me a solid foundation in animal handling and wellness. I have much experience with my own pets past & present whom I have provided post-surgical care, administered medications & administered insulin injections. I have also administered subcutaneous IV fluids for several of my elderly cats in renal failure. I have loved all of my pets over the years, which included dogs, cats & guinea pigs! You can trust me with your dogs, cats or small animals. I’m currently retired with plans to work PT in 2027. For now I am “ free” to devote my time to your pets as needed. I have a very gentle & friendly rescued Beagle/ Foxhound who enjoys running & romping with playmates in my large fully fenced yard. I have a friendly, funny, curious 2 y/o tabby cat & a curmudgeon 17 y/o Tortie cat who sticks to herself mostly or lounges on her “Thrones” & observes her domain! If boarding, your pets can have relaxed free rein, including resting on furniture. About: I have had animals of my own since I can remember. I worked at a shelter (mainly bigger breeds - but all were welcomed) for 3 years. I love working with and helping all animals. I currently only do online schooling so any and all free time I have, I would love to spend it with your beautiful fur babies! I can train your pup as needed and make sure they receive the best possible care. I can also do any bathing that should need done. For the kitties, I will provide any care they may need, to include cleaning out litter boxes, washing food/water containers, feeding, playing with them and nail clipping if needed!

About: I've had pets my entire life and have been given more responsibilities with age. I have a dog a cat, and a horse that all need special care from ear infection treatments to prescription drugs. My family and I have also cared for many stray cats and even fostered one's six kittens. I’m currently a college student on summer break and I’m available during many periods in the day. I am open to traveling farther distances for 1+ week sits. I am attending VCU for my MSW M-F from 8-4, so I have limited availability for midday potty breaks/check-ins during the week, but I have open availability most evenings and weekends. For boarding requests, my partner works from my home and is available to offer potty breaks/check-ins for pets while I’m at school. About: I’ve had pets nearly my whole life and have been known to struggle to walk past an animal in need. This means rescuing an injured squirrel, a Cooper’s hawk, an opossum, and more, going the extra mile even when it was deeply inconvenient for me to do so. I also grew up attending zoo camp and then volunteering at a zoo from age 5 to 14, caring for a wide range of animals. I have worked with high energy pitties, a blind and anxious German shepherd, birds, cuddly kitties, fearful kitties, diabetic kitties, rabbits, and others. I have administered shots, IVs, medications, eye drops, and more. I am persistent and typically can win over even the shyest and most anxious fur baby.
