“Christian took wonderful care of our pets while we were away! She was reliable and attentive, giving us so much peace of mind knowing our furry family was in good hands. She handled our older dog, needy kitten, and diabetic cat with no problems. It was clear she genuinely cared for them, and we came home to happy, well-cared-for pets. We truly appreciated her help and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you again, Christian!”

About: I have experience caring for a wide variety of animals and genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet's individual personality and needs. I have volunteered at the Kansas Humane Society as well as Beauties and Beasts. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to following your instructions and keeping you updated while you’re away. Most importantly, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits well into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and can plan visits around my other commitments. I am most available for drop-in visits and dog walks during weekday evenings and throughout Saturday and Sunday. I understand that consistency is important, especially for pets who are used to a regular schedule. I do my best to maintain their normal routine while you're away and communicate with you if anything changes. I follow each pet's individual routine and prefer to have instructions written out, along with the opportunity to meet and greet beforehand. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets have fresh food and water and give them attention, playtime, and bathroom breaks based on their needs. For dog walks, I'll follow your instructions for the length and pace of the walk and make sure your dog is safely returned home. I also take care to keep homes tidy and secure. Not only do I want your pets to feel safe and cared for while you're away, I want you to feel comfortable knowing they are being well looked after. I'll keep you updated during visits and am happy to send photos so you know how they're doing. I also take care to keep homes tidy and secure. “Molly was so helpful with my puppy! She made me feel very comfortable leaving him with someone new. She even stayed a little late to make sure he was fully taken care of. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Jacob was great with our dogs. He was punctual, reliable, friendly with them. One of our dog is not easy around people but he can make her trust him.The other one falls in love with him and waiting Jacob to rub his belly. I 'd definitely have him to take care our dogs again, also his kindness to feed a homeless cat volunteering. Communication was great and we were so happy to see our dogs pictures everyday. Thanks Jacob. .”

If needed I can also take an extended lunch break to check on your pet. I am available to play with your pet at your place or a park if they are up for a drive. I am very active, so if your dog wants to go for a walk or a run, I'm ready to work up a sweat!
About: Hi! I’m Shane. I’ve spent years working professionally with dogs, first as an Animal Care Technician at a local humane society and later as a dog trainer. Along the way I’ve worked with everything from playful puppies to senior dogs, shy rescues, high-energy dogs, and dogs that need a little extra patience and understanding. I know every dog is different, so I take the time to get to know their personality, routine, and what helps them feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a drop-in visit, or staying with them while you’re away, my goal is to give them the same care and attention I’d want someone to give my own pets. I believe dogs do best when they’re treated with patience, consistency, and kindness, and that’s exactly what you can expect from me. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! As a disabled Air Force veteran, I’ve built my life around caring for animals. Every morning starts with my own dogs, with a walk, plenty of sniff time, training, and breakfast before I begin caring for my clients’ pets. Because pet care is my full-time focus, I schedule each day to give every animal the time and attention they deserve. I don’t rush visits or treat pets like appointments on a checklist. Every dog and cat is cared for like a member of my own extended family. Every pet is different, so I tailor my care to their personality, age, energy level, and routine. Before care begins, I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, feeding routine, medications, favorite activities, and any behavioral or medical needs. During every walk, drop-in visit, or house sitting stay, I focus on more than just the basics. Fresh food and water, potty breaks or litter box cleaning, exercise, enrichment, playtime, affection (on their terms), and careful observation are all part of my routine. For dogs, that may include walks, sniff time, games, or short training sessions. For cats, it may mean interactive play, brushing, or simply providing calm companionship if they’re shy or prefer a quieter approach. When caring for pets in your home, I treat both your pets and your home with the same respect I would my own. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep things tidy, bring in mail or packages if requested, and help maintain your pet’s normal routine to reduce stress while you’re away. You’ll also receive regular photo and text updates so you always know how your pets are doing. I don’t believe in simply checking a box and leaving. I believe in building trust with every animal I care for, providing companionship, enrichment, and dependable care so you can have complete peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve grow up with cats and dogs my whole life and caring for pets has always came natural to me. I’ve also worked at an animal clinic and doggy daycare for a period of 4 years. There I was able to gain experience caretaking for cats, dogs, birds, and even reptiles. I am comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, and even administering some medications when needed. These days i’m usually the go-to for my friends and family when they need a petsitter, and I truly care for each animal to be treated as my own. Being with animals naturally fits into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. My schedule is flexible with school so I can easily make time for walks, feedings, and playtimes. My goal is to treat every pet and home with the same respect I’d want for my own. I follow directions closely to make sure clients feel at peace knowing their pets are safe and comfortable.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
