About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life, I’ve trained 2 puppies and am currently training one more. I currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats I take care of my own pets every day, I walk them, feed them, and take them to the dog park daily and let them play with the other dogs around the complex. We have a lot of space in our lofted apartment, we have a 3 gallon water bowl, and a local park we can take the dogs to have some outside play time.

About: I have owned a dog since I was 8 years old. I have always been responsible for his care. Growing up, I was responsible for taking care of my neighbors dogs and cats when they would travel out of town. When my dog got older, I had to give him oral pills every day in the morning. I work as a flight attendant for United Airlines. I get my flight schedule a month in advance. I can be home for many days in a row. As long as i’m home, my schedule is extremely flexible. I know that every animal is different. I like to ask each owner if there’s anything specific to be aware of prior to pet care.

About: I am experienced with both large and small dogs. I can give medication, help reluctant pets eat, brush fur, wrap injuries, apply nose cream, clean skin folds, and any other needs. I am a huge fan of walks and will love your pet like my own! I grew up with a Rhodesian ridgeback and I have spent time petsitting for friends and neighbors (both cats and dogs). I am currently a college student, so having a pets is not practical for me right now, but I often interact with friend’s pets regularly and sit for people whenever needed! I can take pets out for the bathroom on a long walk or in the yard with a poop bag. I am very adaptable depending on the locatIon and take instructions well!

About: I offered dog-sitting services for friends and family who needed my assistance in the past, for a total of three and a half years. I also have two small dogs of my own, who i absolutely love and adore I just completed my internship and I am currently working from home, as well as completing my last two courses in undergrad online. So I have a lot of time on my hands now that all of my work is online. Im looking to make the best of my new found free time, I thought the best way to do that would be to help busy dog parents with their babies When your babies are in my care I will do everything to the best of my capabilities to make sure they are safe, happy, and healthy. I will treat all dogs that come into my care as if they were my own, I will also provide regular check-ins and updates throughout their stay with me, so you have the comfort of knowing your dog is happy and having the best time and can remain worry free.

Growing up with pets has given me experience with feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, and recognizing their individual needs and personalities. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I will treat them with the same care, patience, and attention that I give my own. Whether your pet needs an energetic playmate or a calm companion, I am committed to providing a safe, loving, and reliable experience. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable pet care throughout the week. I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship. About: I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life! I’ve spent a lot of time with golden retrievers, cats, small dogs and more. I really enjoy being outside with the dogs, throwing the ball the most and walking them as well. I would be a perfect fit for medium to small dogs and cats. Always happy to have a conversation about larger dogs should you need the help! Look forward to helping you with whatever you need. Currently I’m off Sunday-Tuesday with some commitments but that can be arranged! I work downtown on all other days so nights would be better suited for those days. I currently have a small family dog that I care for on a daily basis. I prefer to dog sit for residents that have a fenced in back yard. I enjoy taking them for walks as well. If travel is needed elsewhere please keep in mind I have a mini cooper.

About: Hi! I’m Meredith, a lifelong dog lover based in Mount Pleasant—just minutes from the beach. I have a sweet, social Shih Tzu named Milo who loves having company, and after recently losing my pug of 12 years, we’d both love some extra furry friends around. I’ve been dog sitting for years and have plenty of experience with dogs of all ages, including seniors who need a little extra care, patience, and comfort. I work from home, so your pup will have constant companionship and attention throughout the day. We live in a townhome with a fenced yard and a nearby dog park, and I love taking dogs on walks tailored to their needs—whether that’s a quick դուրս or a few miles when the weather’s nice. Dogs are welcome on the couch, the bed, and anywhere they feel at home. Milo and I can’t wait to meet your pup 🐾💕 I work from home! I’m up early with Milo for a solid walk, breakfast and start the day. Honestly, we can make your schedule work for us! Pets are like family. They are allowed on furniture, in bed at night and I will care for your babies like they are my own.

About: I bring the magic where ever I go, especially to visit the dogs and cats of Charleston. I love to take them on adventures to Hampton park, Magnolia Plantation, the island beaches, or around Colonial Lake. Some of my regulars include the 2 cutest Dachsunds downtown. I’m experienced with all breed and sizes! I am a local contractor so my schedule is very flexible. I can do mid day walks or drop ins as long as I don’t have a job to do! I will always take your dog on regular walks and play with younger dogs or any who have the energy. I know how to pet the grumpiest of cats without them walking away! I will give your pet a lot of attention as I know they might be missing you and want them to be relaxed as possible!

About: I have been a dog lover since I can remember. Family members and friends have relied on me when they needed a dog sitter or someone to care for their dog while at work. I understand the importance of having dogs on a schedule or making sure they get their basic needs met. I can work with puppies, dogs, or even older dogs. I can take care of multiple dogs at a time as well. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and would love to get to know your fur babies! I am available almost every morning and every evening. Depending on the day of the week, I can be very flexible . If I say I will be there for your dog, you can always count on me! Your fur babies will be very taken care of. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment complex so I can’t care for other animals in my own place, but I am happy to travel to where your dog is and take the best care of them! I will make sure they feel loved, take them on walks, play with them, make sure they have water or have eaten, and do my very best to keep them on any kind of schedule you have set for them. I understand some dogs get anxious in different environments or around different people, so I will do my very best to make sure they are in an environment they enjoy and that they feel cared for by me!

As of June 2026, there are 735 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across McClellanville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your McClellanville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in McClellanville.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in McClellanville. On Rover:

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
