âLisa spoils our pup and cats every time she watches them! All three of them just love her, and we love the peace of mind we get from knowing sheâs with them while we are away! She sends lots of pictures and updates which are always so appreciated đ thank you, Lisa!!â

âAlexandra was very professional and took excellent care of our dog, sent pics, kept us updated and gave us peace of mind while we were away for the weekend. Could not ask for anything better when it comes to taking care of our pup!â

âCamryn was absolutely wonderful! She was able to meet and exceed all our expectations! Our pups absolutely loved her and she took the best care of them! We will definitely be asking Camryn to watch our girls again.â

âSummer watched our tripod Husky while we were out of the country. She was communicating with us throughout the stay. She did a few extras and visited our cats and brought the trash to the street for us. I would have Summer watch our pets again!â

âJackie is fantastic! She goes above and beyond to take care of our pup. He needed some special attention this weekend due to an illness. She made sure he got everything he needed - extra meds, attention, special diet, etc. We knew he was in good hands.â

âSara was great! She sent pictures during her stay showing all the fun activities she did with Wally. The house was left in perfect condition. It was awesome not worrying about my "boys". Highly recommend!â

âI cannot recommend Blythe enough! She stayed at my home to watch my high-energy dog, and she handled him like an absolute pro. He can be a handful, but Blythe kept him exercised, entertained, and totally comfortable the entire time. She sent regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a happy and tired pup! If youâre looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caringâbook Blythe. She went above and beyond, and Iâm so grateful to have found her!â

About: I cat sit for my neighbor for long periods of time when she goes away. Iâve been an animal owner since the age of 3. Currently Iâm in school for nursing but donât have classes Monday and Wednesday as well as the weekend. Those days Iâm hoping to spend time with pets. Caring for pets in my home I will have them on a leash if outside just in case they like to run away. At a clients home Iâll follow the directions to ensure perfect pet care.
âNicole was able to accommodate our last minute request when our previous arrangements fell through. She is friendly and knowledgeable with pets. She provided updates and sent us pictures of the fur babies. We will be having her watch our crew again for sure!â

About: I've had a plethora of animals over my 35 years of existence. Dog breeds include a Labrador, Border Collie, Beagle, German Shepard, and Chihuahua. Other species include six rats, one guinea pig, three rabbits, two corn snakes, and a bearded dragon. I do not have any children, and I'm living with my father. Together, we have two dogs, (one his, and the other mine), a garage cat (his), and a bearded dragon (mine). His dog is a German Shepard named Wren, and mine is a Chihuahua named Milo. Additionally, I quit the job I've had for years, so I have a fairly flexible schedule. All of our animals have schedules for everything. Potty breaks, food times, etc. We keep it fairly strict, but also know how to read our animals, and so the schedule is subject to slight changes. I can adapt, and learn new schedules for clients.
âChance did a wonderful job watching our dog! He helped us out in a pinch with a canceled flight and extended his stay without question. He kept us well-informed and sent lots of videos and pictures. I would highly recommend Chance!â

âSierra was great! I got lots of pictures and my pets were very well cared for! She went the extra mile to give me peace of mind during my trip. I came home to a clean house and my fur babies in great shape! I will definitely ask for her for future trips and highly recommend her to care for your babies!â

âMadison did excellent watching our house and pets. She ensured that all their needs were met and the house was very well cared for. The dogs were very happy and tired when we got home. Would recommend Madison to anyone!â

âMy husband and I realized about a week before our non-refundable seven day trip to Mexico (departing Dec 30th) that our dog Papaya was too sick to board at Doggie Daycare despite having originally caught the virus during the first week of November. With a lingering cough and a snotty nose, we knew a boarding environment wouldn't be possible. Enter Keri, our Rover angel! After an initial meeting between Keri and Papaya, we knew we had picked the right person to housesit AND dogsit. Keri was warm, capable, and friendly. During our week away, Keri sent us updates and photos of Papaya. And when we returned home, the house looked exactly the way it had when we left (Keri is both dependable and neat). We will not hesitate to book her in the future.â

âWeâre so grateful we found Kalea. She stayed in our home and took amazing care of our two Labs while we were away over the 4th of July. She stuck to their routine, which really helped keep them calm and happy, especially during a stressful time. It was obvious they got tons of love and attention while we were gone. We came home to two very content pups! Weâll definitely be booking with her again â highly recommend!â

âEmily was great! Such a nice young lady. She clearly loves animals and she definitely spoiled ours with lots of attention and affection! Everything was well cared for in our home. Definitely will use her again!â

About: What sets me apart from other dog sitters is my 32 years of experience, beginning in my teenage years when I cared for neighborsâ dogs. As a dog owner myself, I hold myself to high standards and treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. Due to working in a school full time, I have the most availability in the summer and winter breaks. In addition, I am available evenings for drop ins and weekends for house sitting. At the present time, I am not offering boarding- but this is subject to change. My three year old golden retriever lives with me and is always eager to make new friends, ensuring a fun and social environment for your dog. Based in NEPA, I focus on providing personalized, loving care for each dog I look after. I look forward to hearing from you! If you choose house sitting, please note that I do need to bring my well behaved quiet golden retriever. I do have a travel dog crate I can bring to keep her confined for your peace of mind. As someone who loves pets and takes great pride in caring for my own, pet care is always a top priority in my daily routine. When it comes to your pet, it becomes my first obligation as well. I follow a strict feeding schedule for my one dogâonce at 7 a.m. and again at 5 p.m; meanwhile, my other dog is a graze eater and has food in her dish 24/7. We also dedicate at least an hour to play, whether itâs fetching a ball, relaxing while watching TV, or playing with stuffed animals, sometimes more often than not a lot more than an hour. Rest assured, your pet will receive all the care and love they deserve! I prioritize a consistent schedule and routine for both my pets and client pets, which includes regular feeding, playtime, relaxation, and walks. Safety is my top priority, and I ensure that your pet is well cared for in a secure environment. In my home or yours, I have crates, multiple rooms, and gates available to provide space for pets to relax if they need some time alone or if they become too rambunctious. Rest assured, your pet will be safe, comfortable, and well attended to while in my care. I cultivate a more homey environment for my pets and dogs I watch, which sets me apart from kennel life.

FAQs for House Sitting - Mausdale
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 143 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mausdale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mausdale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mausdale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mausdale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mausdale. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
