For about 14 years I bred, raised and trained some of the nicest AKC Australian Shepherds, some of our bloodlines are still competing in show. About: We had a small dog when our children were out of high school and our world revolved around him. We miss him a lot since he crossed the rainbow bridge but I am lucky to be a grandma to 5 dogs—a Saint Bernard, a chihuahua mix, 2 terrier mixes and a German Shepherd mix. All rescue dogs with some quirky personality traits that make them a challenge and fun. I have also cared for my sister’s senior Maltese and a neighbor’s senior Boxer. Dogs are my favorite animal and I just love spending time with them! I recently retired from being a paraprofessional at a local school so I have a pretty flexible schedule. My husband works on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays so those days I am much more available but he is flexible if I’m working or have something scheduled. We live out in the country and have a fenced in yard so dogs can play and have some fun time running free. Our neighborhood is safe to walk dogs (we used to walk our little guy around the block daily—1 1/4 miles) and there are also 2 parks close by that we could walk if they seem bored with the block.

From all the updates she sent, I could tell my girl was relaxed and just being welcomed to be herself. It was clear from the photos provided that Natalie was getting right on her level and that Greta felt secure. I was late droping-off and picking up, but Natalie was so flexible, which I greatly appreciated. I'm really looking forward to seeing Greta get even more comfortable there, and it just felt like the right fit. I really trusted that Natalie would use good judgement if any issues were to arise, and they actually live a couple doors down from a vet. I could tell Natalie was confident in this role, my dog felt safe and cared for, and I could enjoy my time knowing that she was in capable hands. Greta was so calm when I picked her up, when normally she seems a little frantic to be back with me (even at my mom's)-- if you're looking for a chill place for your pet to feel at ease, this is it. Natalie also asked a lot of important questions when I dropped off Greta which made it clear she was thinking ahead and trying to create an environment that my girl could be happy in. I'm so appreciative of Natalie's considerate approach.”

“Kristi was a godsend for us! We traveled from St. Louis to Kalamazoo for a funeral and were worried about leaving our daughter’s golden retriever Buffy with strangers. But Kristi and her children were fabulous! They treated Buffy like their own treasured pet. Buffy bonded with their dog immediately, and she didn’t care that we left. She was so happy playing with the children and their dog. We took her back for a couple of hours the next day, and Buffy was thrilled to see her friends again. I wish we lived closer so we could use Kristi over and over. She really was the best!”

About: I adopted my sweet boy when he was two and had him for 12 years. We were the best of buddies up until his last days. I love dogs but am not ready to have my own, so if I can help someone else and give a pup a nice walk, I'll be very happy❣️ My husband and I have our own business and I work from home. My schedule is flexible. The notice from the Rover app will be valuable. I'm very active and would ideally love to walk dogs; however, I'm also very comfortable caring for dogs and cats. I can feed and water them, take them out, or clean the litter box. Of course, petting them and playing with them goes without saying! We also have two miniature donkeys, Miracle and Frodo. Although, I'm not too interested in caring for other people's large farm animals now.
