“Lauran did an excellent job! She was very communicative and took great care of our dogs and the house. She sent pictures and videos along with updates. Would book her again!”

“Sara did such an amazing job taking care of our pup while we were out of town for an extended vacation. From the very first message she was so responsive, warm, and friendly, we knew she would be a great fit. Sara went above and beyond in making sure Finley was cared for, gave him extra cuddles and attention, and sent us frequent updates with pictures and videos. We have used rover a bunch of times in the past and normally we are a bit anxious to leave our pup behind but Sara did such an excellent job and was so communicative that we never worried a minute of our trip and were truly able to relax! She is amazing and we will book her again with 100% confidence.”

“Annie is an amazing dog sitter - she stayed with our two dogs, one being a 5 month old puppy, at our rental while we were busy with family wedding events. She sent lots of updates and photos, which made us feel totally at ease. The dogs clearly loved being with her. Highly recommend!”

“Brandon is an amazing dog sitter! He treated all of our dogs like his own and was super dependable. He came over and met the dogs prior to his first stay with them and got along great. He isn’t afraid of asking questions and is very kind. We will definitely be using him again.”

“Joanna was excellent at all stages of the process! She is thorough, and kept me informed about Cash while we were gone, sending pictures and updates frequently. Cash really warmed up to her and we will definitely book with Joanna in the future. Thank you!”

“Donai was amazing with our boys! She catered to each of their individual needs & quirks so well- they were so happy in every picture she sent over. She left the house in perfect condition, even better than we left it. She was so responsive & wonderful- will absolutely be booking her again!!”

“Ava was great! She is one of the best sitters I have had so far, she did exactly everything that I asked if her. I loved all of the picture she sent throughout the day and that made me feel at ease although I was 300 miles away. My apartment felt even cleaner than I left it! My cat was seemed happy and content when I came back - she wasn’t clingy at all like she didn’t miss me much lol. I would definitely ask Ava to sit my place again. Highly recommend her.”

“Kate was great! She was super communicative and sent us lots of pictures while we were gone. We could tell our pup had good exercise and was well taken care of while we were gone, and our house was just as we left it. We will definitely book Kate again in the future!”

“Alan did really good job caring for Peyton. Did everything I had asked for. I plan on using again next time I need someone to care for my black lab. Highly recommended. Thanks”

“Jocelyn was great with our dog Winston. He's very nervous but he took to Jocelyn really quickly. Communication was excellent and we have already rebooked!”

“Lauren was great taking care of out young, energetic, and silly German Shorthaired Pointer. She showed up on time, followed instructions, asked questions when needed, and sent daily updates with photos. She also left the house organized and clean. We can tell our dog likes her too 🥰🐾🐕🦺”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 10. My family has had dogs since i can remember.I love playing and loving on pets! I have a pretty flexible schedule, so pet care fits easily into my day. I genuinely love being around animals and enjoy giving them attention, playtime, walks, and care. Spending time with pets doesn’t feel like work to me — it’s something I truly enjoy, and I’m happy to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’m comfortable caring for pets both in my home and in clients’ homes. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for by keeping up with their routines, giving them plenty of attention, and creating a calm environment. Whether I’m pet sitting in my own home or visiting a client’s home, I treat every animal like they’re my own and make sure they get lots of love, care, and playtime.
About: I’ve cared for & loved animals my whole life & will ensure your/their needs are met & exceeded. I’ve utilized sitters myself in the past & would like to provide a far better experience for our fur babies than what I have encountered. I can be available pretty much 24/7 depending on your needs. I will follow whatever schedule is best for your fur baby. Its important to make them feel as little disruption to their routine as possible. I’ve a private home w/ plenty of quiet space to promote comfortable, low stress atmosphere while your babies are away from home. Attentiveness is my priority
“Julia was amazing, flexible, respectful and professional. I will definitely use her again. We need up only needing her for about 7 hours but originally planned on 3-4 days not due to her. I look forward to having her back. Recommend her.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Maryhill Estates
Kaley is absolutely the best! She keeps Faith in her daily routine and takes wonderful care of our home, too. We love her daily updates and Faith always seems so happy and well cared for when we return. We can’t recommend Kaley enough, and we’ll continue to book with her whenever we can!

Madison was a great sitter! I knew from the moment I met her that she was a good match. She was warm, friendly, and funny and connected with my dog right away. While we were away she consistently checked in and sent adorable photos. She took wonderful care of our home and brought in our mail as requested. Upon our return, the left everything clean and turned on the outside light for us since we got home late in the dark. I’m very happy with our experience with Maddy and would not hesitate to have her sit for us again.

Stephanie is amazing! She not only took exceptional care of our two high energy pups but is also extremely in tune with pet behavior. She gave me knowledgeable insights into how the dogs act and play together which will help immensely with their training. I can't recommend her enough- you won't be disappointed!

I couldn't have asked for a better house and pet sitter than Madison! She took care of my home and dog for two weeks, and everything was absolutely perfect. Communication was seamless—I received timely updates and plenty of photos that completely set my mind at ease while I was away. Not only was my dog happy and in great shape when I returned, but Madison also went above and beyond, helping water the plants and tidying up the house. Madison is incredibly trustworthy, reliable, and professional. I would absolutely hire her again in a heartbeat!

This was my second time booking with Lauran, and once again she was absolutely wonderful! Having someone I can trust with my two cats gives me so much peace of mind while we're away. She kept me updated with photos and messages, made sure my cats were well cared for, and even managed to earn the trust of my very shy cat, which says a lot! It's clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and goes above and beyond to make sure they're comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter!

What a wonderful experience we had with Kaylynn. My high anxiety puppy really loved staying with her. I had no worries whatsoever while we were away. This was our second experience with Kaylynn and I would not hesitate to book with her again. She was on time, professional, and just a pleasure.

Asher was incredible! She cared for my pup, Leo, while I was away, and her care was simply outstanding. She was so thoughtful and engaged. She sent frequent updates, adorable photos, and left my home spotless. Knowing Leo was in such caring hands made my trip even more enjoyable. It’s clear she has a gift for this, and Leo adored her. I am immensely grateful!

Avery came to our home to sit with our 4-legged babies for a couple of hours. We don’t really leave them home alone but we both needed to be gone at the same time and other sitters we’d previously used were not available. It was pretty expensive for a few hours but we were grateful she could do it on just a few days notice. Avery was prompt in arriving, friendly, good with the dogs, and sent a pic during the time she was there. I would not hesitate to book her again if needed.

Sarah is hands down the BEST Rover sitter we’ve ever hired. She was so attentive and kind and I know our pups absolutely loved her. She went above and beyond taking care of not only our babies, but our house too! She sent so many pictures and even took them on TWO walks just in the 24 hours she was with them. We will absolutely be using her again and I highly recommend everyone else do the same.

We were traveling in Louisville and needed someone to watch our two dogs at the hotel while we attended an event. Other than family, we have never used anyone or service to watch our dogs. When doing anything, I factor in how it will impact our dogs. Their well-being is the most important thing. To say I was nervous is a massive understatement. Brittany was absolutely wonderful! Our 11-year-old shepherd can be a little anxious in new environments, and our 8-year-old is usually cautious around strangers. Within minutes, Brittany had both of them relaxed and comfortable, which was such a relief. She not only cared for them with patience and kindness but also kept us updated with photos throughout the evening, which helped me stay at ease. It was clear that they were happy, safe, and well-loved in her care. We were thrilled with the experience and so appreciative of her attentiveness. I would highly recommend Brittany to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable dog sitter. She truly went above and beyond!

Jennifer stayed with our dog and foster pup for 1 day and 1 night. She was very attentive to our dogs, working to make our foster feel safe and less anxious with us being away. She took care of the house leaving it as it was left and took care any trash. Overall good experience!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 750 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Maryhill Estates. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Maryhill Estates walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Maryhill Estates maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maryhill Estates choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maryhill Estates. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
