“Agnes did a wonderful job watching my three dogs. She sent lots of pictures and updates how they were doing. I am really glad it worked out bc I had issues with other sitters. Agnes lives in my neighborhood so it’s great to have someone so close to care for my dogs.”

About: I have taken care of various pets for many years, and enjoy them immensely. I have also had my own dogs and cats for a long time in the past. I am semi retired and work part time, not every day, so I am available many hours of the day, every day. I also enjoy sitting pets for company! I will feed, play with, walk with and snuggle with your pet, and give lots of love in a great environment. Dogs under 15 pounds and potty trained only, and no biters, please. It’s important to me that they are completely comfortable. Thanks!
“Elliot was FANTASTIC watching our pup! We got updates and pictures the entire time we were gone. We came home and she was all snuggled up next to him. Super star pet sitter. We will 100% use him again! Thank you, Elliot, for taking such great care of our girl.”

“Autumn was amazing! My animals LOVED her and she was great with sending me updates about them (I'm so nervous leaving them so this was a great peace of mind). I definitely will be using her in the future!”

“Bethany is hands down your go to person for the best dog care. She went above and beyond to help our senior frenchie . She kept us up to date on everything and cared for Layla like she was one of her own. Thank you!”

About: I have had a dog since I was a kid. When I got married , we adopted our first dog Sonny from a rescue. Shortly after that we took one of the puppies from my sister in laws litter, Bandit. They both brought such love and happiness into our family and were devastated when we lost them both. Looking for a job where I could give my love to other’s animals. I currently am unemployed, but looking to be a full time dog sitter/ dog walker. I am a stay at home mom, hoping to bring some extra income to my household. My typical day starts at 7:30 with school drop off for my son and drop off at 8:40 for my daughter. With pick ups between 2-3:30. Once school ends my hours become more available.
About: I’m not just a pet sitter—I’m your pet’s new best friend. What sets me apart is my genuine love for being around dogs and my natural ability to comfort and connect with them. Whether it’s a long walk through the park, a splash in the water, or simply sitting together for quiet companionship, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I believe exercise, play, and affection go hand-in-paw, and I bring all three to every visit. Your furry family member will get my full attention, plenty of tail-wagging adventures, and the kind of care I’d want for my own pets. I offer temporary pet sitting and dog walking in the area while I’m in town, as my work and love for travel take me around the world. When I’m here, I’m fully dedicated to caring for your pets—providing companionship, exercise, and comfort until you’re back. My schedule is flexible during my local stays, so whether you need daily walks, weekend care, or short-term pet sitting, I’m happy to help. When I care for your pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect and attention as if it were my own. I know how important it is to feel confident when someone else is looking after your furry family members—and your home—so I’m committed to providing a safe, trustworthy, and dependable presence. From securely locking doors to following your pets’ routines exactly as you request, I make sure every detail is handled with care. Your pets will receive plenty of love, comfort, and attention, and you can rest easy knowing they’re safe, happy, and right where they feel most at home.
“I cannot speak highly enough of Hailee. This was her first time dog sitting for us, and every single thing that could have gone wrong in our house did. Our water heater broke right before she arrived and started flooding the finished basement, the plumber that fixed the water heater accidentally left the gas off so there was no heat for 24 hours, and there was a fire down the street that caused them to turn off the power to our grid. And yet, Hailee made it all a breeze. Between coordinating with our plumber, keeping the dogs calm with the commotion in the house, and keeping us in the loop. We came home to a clean house and happy & tired dogs. You would have never known that it was a crazy week. Highly recommend if you want peace of mind & will be rebooking!”

About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life and have always had a passion for caring for animals. I currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I also help care for my elderly dog with special needs, giving me experience with senior pets who require extra patience, attention, and gentle care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply lots of cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m currently a student who is mostly remote. I have a very open summer schedule thanks to my summer break. I’m available weekdays and weekends. Or message me if you are in a pinch and I can try and accommodate you! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to maintain your pet’s routine, so I’ll follow your instructions closely to help them feel relaxed and at home. Whether that includes daily walks, feeding on a specific schedule, administering medications, bathing, playtime, or simply spending quality time together, I’ll make sure they receive the attentive care they deserve.
About: My family has had a pet dog for my entire life. More recently I adopted two older dogs from the area shelter and provided them both amazing years of love and comfort. I am a client support contractor which allows flexibility in my daily schedule to care for your pet needs. I have availability generally on shorter notice. Pets are family. I will follow your specific requests to address any concerns, individual behaviors and unique pet personalities. Each of our special friends deserve it.
About: I’m lucky enough to have an open schedule, which means your pet will get my full, undivided attention without being left alone for long stretches of time. I’ve taken care of a little bit of everything - dogs, cats, and even guinea pigs - so I’m really comfortable adapting to whatever unique routine your animal needs. My love playing with animals, chilling with them, and just watching them do what they do. One of my biggest strengths is working with pets who are on the shy or anxious side. I know how stressful it can be for them when their owners are away, so I’m incredibly patient. I know how to read their body language, give them the space they need, and just let them open up to me at their own pace until they feel completely safe. I am currently on summer break from college and take care of my own dogs at home. I make sure to give them everything they need from walks to play to just sitting around together. My main priority is keeping a constant eye on your pet and sticking as close to their normal routine as possible. Whether I'm staying at your place or visiting, your pet won't be left alone for long stretches, which really helps prevent separation anxiety. While I'm in a client's home, I will treat it with total respect and keep everything secure. I will make sure that all doors and gates are locked securely every time I leave your home, and I always keep dogs on a leash during walks. Because I have experience with everything from energetic dogs and cats to smaller pets like guinea pigs, I’m very aware of safety and choking hazards, like making sure small items or dangerous foods are out of reach.
“Rebecca is the best! She knew we were worried about leaving our dog and sent pictures the entire time we were away. She genuinely cares about the pets she watches over. Duke was calm, happy and well cared for, even with a thunderstorm and a power outage. Would definitely recommend Rebecca to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

“Gabrielle did a great job with Maggie! Gabrielle is very responsive and easy to work with. Maggie got lots of exercise and I got lots of pictures. I would definitely use Gabrielle again!”

“Liz was absolutely amazing. This was the first time I’ve ever left either of my dogs with someone outside of our family so I was super nervous(and my one dog is 14). Liz came over for an interview and immediately made me feel comfortable and I knew she was the right choice. We were gone two nights and in those two nights she sent me constant videos and pictures of both dogs. I could tell they were loving her which made me love her even more. She left the house so clean, I couldn’t even tell she was here. We will absolutely be having her come to stay on our next trip again and I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a sitter. She proved to not only be trust worthy with our home but with our fur babies too. Thank you Liz for everything you did 🐾🐶”

About: I have grown up with dogs and now have one of my own. I have had her since a puppy so I understand the phases that animals may go through. I treat my furbaby like family and plan to do the same for yours. I am a full-time nurse (3 days a week) but plan to spend my four days off helping others with their pet's needs. I am available for early mornings through later night hours. I am open to caring for any dog/cat breed. I understand the importance of patience with animals and am always able to win over a dog's heart.
“Mandy was very professional and very caring with our dogs. She took special care of our finicky eater Penelope. Was on time and sent us pictures of our dogs which looked very happy.”

“David makes our dogs feel safe and loved. They run to him as soon as they see him. He followed all our specific instructions and was very conscientious. He snuggled with them and played with them. We really appreciated how positive he was about staying with Belle and Rory. We would definitely use David again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for most of my adult life, about 20 years. I have a love for all animals and caring for them brings me great joy. I am a veteran of the Army Reserves. Currently trying to find steady work but in the meantime I'm available anytime to dog/cat sit. My hours for pet care are ideally early morning - mid afternoon. Extended overnight sits can be accommodated. Walks and Visits are easily doable for me in the morning and daytime. I’d be willing to follow and adhere to any rules/restrictions for myself and their pets to a standard I hold myself to as a responsible human being for a pet.
About: I have four huge dogs and three cats and I am the primary caregiver for all of them. This includes, walking, playing, cleaning droppings, changing litter boxes, watching them overnight. I am on a boot so I’m available all week until I go to college in September 6th. I also do have physical therapy on tuesdays for an hour but it varies. I have a big fenced yard for your dogs to run around in! They will have toys, treats, and comfort as well! If needed they can also be crated per your request! They will get fed by your request. For cats, my basement is complete along with toys and treats for them to roam around and have fun! They will also get fed by your request.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Martins Creek
Madison took great care of our pets while we were on vacation! We were nervous to leave them with someone new, but Madison was wonderful! She sent many pictures and updates throughout the day and was great at communicating! Our dog needs medication twice a day and doesn’t eat well when we are gone, but Madison was able to get him to eat and made sure he never missed his medicine. I was never worried how our fur babies were doing while we were gone, I could tell she was taking great care of them! When we got home all of our pets were happy and healthy and she left our home clean and beautiful!

Madison was an absolute legendary pet sitter! Our dog Maisie and two cats were well loved, fed, and cared for! She left our home beautiful! This is the longest trip we’ve taken away from our fur babies (eight days) and needless to say, we were scared to go far. Madison made every step of the process a delight. She’s super organized and asks all the right questions. We received pictures of our babies playing, lounging and loving their time with her! If you have the opportunity to work with Madison, don’t miss the chance! The Barbato family

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,193 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Martins Creek. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Martins Creek walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Martins Creek maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Martins Creek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Martins Creek. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
