“Ryan was absolutely wonderful with our two dogs! He stayed in our home and took such amazing care of them. It was obvious from the beginning that he genuinely loved them and treated them like his own. They were happy, comfortable, and so well cared for when we got home. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands while we were away. We would absolutely recommend Ryan to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive to watch their pets. We will definitely be using him again!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for family, friends, and Rover for years and am excited by every opportunity I get to spend with them! I've been a dog owner myself for over 5 years. I can easily adjust my sitting style for dogs with a lot of energy or ones that are a little more relaxed. I am happy to sit in and give belly rubs or take them out on a long walk with me! My home has a fenced in backyard and there are plenty of places to walk near me. I typically work full time during the week at a non-profit theatre, I'm always happy to meet in person before we make final arrangements. I love taking care of dogs and I'd be happy to spend some time with the dog in your life!
“Rebecca is an AMAZING pet sitter. My dogs (and I have a lot of dogs) adore her and the extra special touches she brings (ex: leaving them with Zen music when she isn't there or before we get home), allowing them to be the dogs they are and accepting they make messes). I know our pack is a bunch of misfits, but she never appears frazzled going about caring for them. We appreciate her and all she does for our pups and the condition of our house when she leaves. Impeccable!”

“M has been wonderful with our new puppy, and helping our older dog acclimate to all the energy! In addition to daily care, M has worked on training and extra activities to help our puppy learn basic behaviors. We are so grateful!”

About: I grew up in the countryside so i have always been around many animals since my childhood years. I've taken care of dogs and cats of many breeds , I grew up in DR so I had a dog whom gave birth 3 times within the same year and I delivered 9 pups each time. I took care and nurtured all of the pups prior to finding them a new home. I also always took care of two dogs my godfathers sisters had whenever she would travel to Florida they would stay with me. I do it because I love animals and rather make sure their in good care than looked at by someone who’s careless. I work at the wind creek , my free days are Sunday through Tuesday and I am available any time. Wednesday through Thursday from 7-5pm are my working hours. However on these days Between 6pm-10pm I can be available. If needed I can also stay the night , Feeding will be done at 5:45am with a quick potty break prior to me leaving at 6:30am. Furry friends can run free at home and outside , i like taking them on walks and playing with them where with my CoCo i give her treats as she does the things I ask of her like Sit , Stay Still , my dog loves these games. This is a safe space we also have a camera outside monitoring everything. At a clients home I always follow their instructions, usually most clients would leave a small instruction pamphlet for me which I always follow.
About: Hi, I’m Brittany! I’ve been an animal lover and pet parent for over 20 years, and I’ve spent 10+ years working in the veterinary field, including specialty, emergency, and general practice. My veterinary experience has given me hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and needs, including puppies, seniors, pets requiring medications, and pets with special needs. I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family member, and I treat every pet in my care like they’re my own. I currently have open availability and a flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate a variety of routines and pet-care needs. I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s individual needs. I’m comfortable caring for multiple pets and am experienced with different personalities, energy levels, and medical needs. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, some extra attention while you’re away, medication, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to help. I take the time to learn your pet’s individual routine, preferences, and personality so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. Communication with pet parents is very important to me, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos during visits or stays. My goal is simple: your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort come first. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pets!
“Lindsey was great! Our dog really enjoyed his time with her and we got nice picture updates from each day! Made us able to not worry all day about him. We will definitely be hiring her again for future vacations we take!”

I am good with taking care of dogs with high energy and even anxious dogs as well. Im very patient to each and every dogs needs and that not every dog needs the same care. My goal is when you see your dog again they feel happy, safe and loved while I’m caring for them I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. I’m available for boarding on weekends and can also provide care on weekdays, especially after 12 PM. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, and care while you’re away. I have a safe and welcoming home where pets can feel comfortable and cared for. I have one older, friendly dog who is used to being around other animals. My priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care.

About: Hello, My name is Ezekiel or Zeke for short! I been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember. I love almost every animal I come across and would like to think they feel the same about me. I have been pet sitting professionally for about 15 years now. From trembling chihuahuas all the way to loving bumbling pitties. Through the rain or shine, I’ll make sure your pups are loved and cared for. Currently my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m available weekdays (and weekends as needed). All in all I’m pretty flexible with whatever you and your pet may need! I'm always happy to work around you & your pet's routine to make sure they get all the love, care, and attention they deserve while you're away! Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priority, and I treat your home and pet with the same care I would my own-just elevated to a five-star level.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and come from a family of rescue lovers. I currently care for my own rescue dog, who has severe anxiety, and caring for him has taught me a lot of patience and how to recognize each pet’s different personalities and needs. While I’m new to Rover, I’m excited to get started and build meaningful relationships with both pets and their owners. A little about me! I work as a therapist during the week. Outside of work, I love reading, staying active, trying new coffee shops, and spending time with friends and family. I truly enjoy caring for others—whether that’s people or pets! I take pride in making sure your pet feels loved and comfortable while you’re away, and I always try to leave your home just as I found it (or even a little tidier). I know how much our pets mean to us, and I’ll care for yours like they’re my own. I work during the week, primarily on Tuesday through Friday mornings and evenings. Since I work virtually some days, I have flexibility in my schedule as long as I have a quiet, confidential space for my clients. This allows me to be available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care throughout the week when scheduling permits. I'm also fully available Saturday through Monday and enjoy spending my free time with animals. I'm happy to care for your pet in your home, take them on walks around the neighborhood, or visit local parks for exercise. I know that every pet has different routines, personalities, and comfort levels, and I can adapt to their/your needs.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Zucksville
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Juliette! She stayed in our home for 8 days to care for our senior dog, and she was wonderful. She communicated regularly and sent great photos, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. I felt completely confident that our older dog was loved and well cared for the entire time. When we returned home, the house was neat, tidy, and well kept. We would gladly rebook with Juliette and highly recommend her.

Heidy took very good care of my two dogs when I was gone for a week. She was trusted to take care of them in my home and did an exceptional job. She fed them gave them medication, walked them and even picked up the poop in the yard. She provided updates and photos. I would highly recommend.

Karen is truly the only person who I will not only allow in my house when I'm not around but also watch my motley Crue of 3 senior, a 6 yr old and 1 yr old cats. Always a ton of communication, pics that really show they love and trust her and just above and beyond care of them. They just adore her and I can actually relax knowing they are well taken of as if I was doing it myself. That says volumes about someone coming from me because I'm in the Animal field for 22 years and I expect the care from a sitter as I give my patients!

As a first-time Rover user, I was incredibly nervous about leaving our cats, Stella and Winston, while we were away in Maine. Stella is 16 years old and was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and asthma, so making sure she received her medications—especially her inhaler—was my biggest concern. While she’s great about taking it from me, I worried that asking friends or family to handle it would be stressful for everyone. From the moment we met Deb, I knew our cats were in great hands. She was patient, compassionate, and determined to earn Stella’s trust, even when she was feeling shy and a little spicy. Deb stayed in constant communication with us every day, sending updates and making sure Stella received all of her medications. That peace of mind was absolutely priceless. Winston clearly adored her too! She spent time playing with him, and the daily photos and updates made me feel so much less guilty about being away. As an incredibly thoughtful surprise, Deb even printed a few of the photos for us to keep. 🥰 If you’re new to Rover or simply looking for someone who will truly care for your pets as if they were her own, don’t hesitate to book Deb. She went above and beyond in every way, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with Stella and Winston again. Your fur babies will be in the best hands!

We have two high energy dogs, one of which has a hard time with strangers and has a lot of nervous energy- and Rachael was wonderful with both. Felt great about the way the stay went and felt happy and relieved to know she was handling things! Will definitely use her again!

I cannot speak highly enough of Hailee. This was her first time dog sitting for us, and every single thing that could have gone wrong in our house did. Our water heater broke right before she arrived and started flooding the finished basement, the plumber that fixed the water heater accidentally left the gas off so there was no heat for 24 hours, and there was a fire down the street that caused them to turn off the power to our grid. And yet, Hailee made it all a breeze. Between coordinating with our plumber, keeping the dogs calm with the commotion in the house, and keeping us in the loop. We came home to a clean house and happy & tired dogs. You would have never known that it was a crazy week. Highly recommend if you want peace of mind & will be rebooking!

Once again I booked Agnes to house sit and watch my 2 dogs while I went on vacation and once again she did not disappoint. She's very reliable, sends photos every day and is very accommodating should there be a delay. I feel very comfortable having her in my home and trust her completely.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Zucksville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Zucksville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
<b>Tip:</b> Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Zucksville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
